Below I have included an example of her daily devotional from my email today, but it's on Praying the Names of JESUS:

Names of Jesus Week Five, Day Five

The Name
Jesus, the greatest of all physicians, performed more healings than any other kind of miracle. Nothing stumped him — not blindness, craziness, lameness, deafness, or even death. Every ailment yielded to his undeniable power, and every healing served as evidence that his kingdom was breaking into our fallen world.

When you pray for healing for yourself or others, remember that God never sends sickness, though he sometimes allows us to become sick. Indeed, Scripture sees sickness and death as byproducts of sin. And it was to solve the sin problem that Jesus came into the world. When you pray for healing, remember that Jesus is always your ally, always wanting what is best for you and for those you care about.

Key Scriptures
The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor. Matthew 11:5

Jesus said to them, "Surely you will quote this proverb to me: 'Physician, heal yourself! Do here in your hometown what we have heard that you did in Capernaum.' " Luke 4:23

Friday
Promises Associated with His Name

Wars, famines, poverty, and illness are obvious signs that we live in a broken world, one that is out of alignment with God's original intentions. Who but a Divine Physician could possibly heal us, bringing us body and soul back into alignment with his purposes?

Remember the woman with the issue of blood who pushed through the crowd in order to touch the hem of Jesus' garment? You might be interested to know that she touched a part of his robe called the tzitziyot, or tassels. Like other devout Jews, Jesus wore these in obedience to God's instructions to Moses: "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments with a blue cord on each tassel. You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the Lord, that you may obey them' " (Numbers 15:38 - 39). So the sick woman touched the most sacred part of Jesus' garment. And she did this even though she knew that under the law her condition would have rendered her and whatever she touched ritually impure. But instead of being defiled by her touch, Jesus' proved the more contagious, rendering her whole and pure.

Jesus is still the source of our healing. If we humble ourselves and pray, if we seek him and turn from our sins, then we have reason to believe he will hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land.

Promises in Scripture

When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:13 - 14

Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were before. I will cleanse them from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against me. Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it. Jeremiah 33:6 - 9

But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall. Malachi 4:2

Continued Prayer and Praise

Ask God to increase your faith for healing. (Matthew 8:5 - 10; Mark 9:17 - 29; John 4:46 - 54)

Thank God for healing. (Luke 17:11 - 17)

Understand that miracles of healing are a sign of Christ's in-breaking kingdom. (Matthew 11:2 - 5)

Trust that God is with you in your weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:7 - 10)

Remember that God still heals. (James 5:14 - 16)

Here is a dear sister in the LORD and team member here that would be blessed by you praying for her husband and her and putting to use these Biblical truths! For more info on Denise's situation, visit SHORTYBEAR'S PLACE.

I also recently purchased a great study by Kay Arthur through KINDLE for PC through Amazon, which is also on the Names of God. LORD, I WANT TO KNOW YOU MORE

Lord, I Want to Know You: A Devotional Study on the Names of God

"This study takes you through, not only the names that God has been given by Himself and others, but WHY those particular names are used. Kay Arthur's books do not just tell you why, she has questions that are designed for you to go and learn for yourself. This is a great study method for both individual and group study. This way the knowledge actually becomes part of you. For the beginning Christian, this study helps you to learn more of God, His faithfulness, His characteristics, and such. This makes your personal relationship with Him all the richer. This also holds true for the more mature Christian. This is a study that does take some time, thought, research, and reading. But the most important part of this study (and any study that a Christian does) is prayer. Then you are inviting God to make Himself better known to you."

YES LORD, WE WANT TO KNOW YOU MORE!

WE WANT TO PRAY IN YOUR NAME

IN JESUS NAME

PRAYER FOR PRODIGALS taken from a prayer card available from:
http://www.prayingtheprodigalshome.com/resources.htm

(my part)
Lord you know who I'm praying for and I know there are others whose hearts ache for their prodigals so I share this prayer for all of them. Today is one of mine's 31st birthday so this is in honor of that celebration & the homecoming one with You soon I pray!

(prayer card)

Lord only you know where those who we call prodigals are - not just physical place but in their hearts, their minds and their spirits. None of us can hide from You, and no one is lost that You can not find.

We pray for them, Lord, bring them home - not just to us, not even first to us, but to You. Forgive us if as parents, friends or fellowships we made it easier for them to leave or harder for them to come back.

Wherever they are and whatever they are doing touch their lives. When they come home, give us the spirit of the Father not the elder brother.

Lord, there are some of us who to the outside world seem never to have left the Father's House, but we ourselves know how far we have wandered in spirit. Bring us back also.

When they come back, those that have gone far and those who have wandered near, then teach us Lord that sometimes in Your Kingdom, it is not just another meeting we need - but a party.

~(end of prayer card)

So Father, embrace our prodigals and surround them with Your love and mercy as You protect them or deliver them from evil and harm.

May they realize that it is You who is protecting them by our earnest prayers for them. Direct their steps and bring them back to You.
Let us rejoice in their homecoming. May we surrender our anxious hearts for them and resolve to continue seeking Your face as You restore each one to You through a repentant heart that realizes their need for You.

Send other reminders or Christians in their path to encourage them to return. Bring healing wherever that may be needed. May they know the Father's love for them, as they hunger and thirst for that once more now in their lives.

Draw them closer to You, speak or whisper to their hearts, reminding them of that first love. We thank You and see them as the Prodigals that You bring home, because we love them but mostly because You love them first.

Thank You Lord for each one as they are restored & find themselves once again in Your loving arms & hopefully ours or at least we are able to know & celebrate with the one sheep more returned to the flock, our vision & hope is that they come running to You soon in Jesus beloved Name... we give You all honor, glory & praise... counting this done.

(If our hearts desire this how much more Yours!!!)

Heavenly Father, Thank You so much for my sweet sister Cathy and her precious prayer. We stand together for "prodigals" and we lift them before You for You to complete the work You began in each one.

Thank You for the gift of music that You have given to Cathy! We praise You for the many songs that You have instilled and risen from her depths to write and share! Cathy is Your precious daughter and I call upon You to meet Cathy & her heart's desire that You have a plan for Cathy for good. Cathy shares her love for You with many that she knows and prayers for on their blogs, through emails and in many ways. Bless her LORD as she has blessed many. Keep her meds & her precious heart in beat & perfect rhythm with You! You are her LORD, healer, lifter of her head...a refuge and strong tower. Encourage her as she composes songs to Your glory. Each song is a sweet aroma to You... surround her with Your loving arms and whispers of Your love for her. Thank You that she came here and shared her prayer!

To You be all glory, honor & praise
in Jesus' Name for all You are doing. Thank You Lord for hearing Cathy's prayer & request for Denise & Eddie, I stand with her for them & Your Heavenly Touch! Thank You!!!

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
