PERSONAL PRAYER REQUESTS and HOW THE LIGHTHOUSE WORKS

If this is your first visit, please stop by here and read a little bit about our ministry--how we are joining together to lift others to God in prayer. However, what you read here and in the posts is actually enough.

Maybe you come across someone that needs prayer while visiting blogs, instead of just saying, "Praying for you", do so and bring their prayer need and leave your prayer here and let them know that you left a prayer for them at the Lighthouse of Prayer

This is an interactive blog based on a comment and response system.

PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, PRAYER REQUEST, PRAISE, THANKS in the place that would normally read COMMENTS after the most recent post but here it will read "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD"... if a LINKY is not available. We have begun using a PRAYER REQUEST LINKY but if it's not there please leave PRAYER or REQUEST in "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD" (the area for comments but no comment) Thank you so much!

We'd love to see your prayer requests and praises to God in this area and hopefully others will be supporting you through their prayers written as a response to your prayer there. Be sure to come back and see the prayers lifting you and yours together to the LORD or leave one! You can also remain anonymous, God knows you.

Please remember NO COMMENTS, only PRAYERS! It is important that this be a house of prayer. Any comment, not as a prayer or prayer request will be deleted. Thanks again!

PRAISE, ANSWER, THANKS 2013

Here at the Lighthouse of Prayer, we lift each other up and pray for our needs and those of others we see here and there throughout "blogland".

“I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart” Psalm 9:1
"Praise should always follow answered prayer, just like the mist of earth’s gratitude rises when the sun of heaven’s love warms the ground. Has the Lord been gracious to you, and heard your voice as your earnestly pray? Then praise Him as long as you live! Don’t deny a song to Him who has answered your prayer and given you the desire of your heart." Originally written by Charles H. Spurgeon, published in “Mornings and Evenings,” entry for October 30th, AM. Updated to modern English by Darren Hewer, 2008
Quite a while back, it was suggested to me to include PRAISE reports!!!

Why of course, we always want to come back and give glory to Our Lord, praise Him and thank Him. In fact, I'm sure that we had a place long ago when we started here. So since we try to keep everything as a prayer around here, I was not sure how this might work ... but I'm leaving it up to YOU! I have noticed some PRAISE shared in the Prayer Requests (that I truly appreciate) but I just wanted to make a special place.

We tried this back in September (Part I) if you'd like to see how it was done then, read or view a video with some scriptures on PRAISE, click on Part I.

If at all possible, write your PRAISE, ANSWER or THANKS in a form of a prayer ... Thank you so much and God bless!

  1. I want to thank you and especially thank God for this blog dedicated to prayer. A few years ago I desperately sought prayer for God's protection for our 4 granddaughters who the courts were allowing to be put in a dangerous situation. God intervened, and amazingly the 4 little girls were preserved ( truly a miracle!)The girls are safe, sound, happy, loving Jesus, and living with their dad ( our son) and near family & friends who are there for them. And goodness, a single father needs all the good & Godly help he can get to raise 4 daughters.

I am telling you this, especially for any of you worried about the safety of loved ones anywhere. The many prayers raised up on their behalf by so many from this blog, and so many blogger friends is most definitely the reason the girls were preserved. God does answer prayers, and even during the darkest times when everything seemed hopeless & my heart and countenance barely got off the floor, God was in control, is in control, and always will be in control! Thank-you all, and I will pray for those mentioned here.

Thank you Kathy for sharing this!

Father God, We ask continued protection and Your wisdom of the best care for these 4 little ones and their dad. We continue to give You praise and thanks for their safe keeping. You promise us that You have a plan and purpose for our good and no harm (Jer. 29:11) and that You will make all things for good to those that love You. We thank You for keeping this family and all little ones safe in Your arms as we pray to You, Jehovah, Our Protector. Keep us all from harm's way. Place a seal of protection and a wall around us all in Jesus' Name...

  5. ABBA, How good it is to come and leave You praise and thanks for all that You are doing! I thank You for prayers that You have answered and the ones for which we wait! Teach us to endure and wait patiently and lovingly as You do for us!

I give You praise for staying and being with Denise THROUGH IT ALL! Please keep Your attentive watch over her and also Alice, Cathy, Joyful and Pia. We know that You are not done with any of us, that we are each in Your Hands! We commit 2013 to You! We ask that You be in it and with us as we come and lift up the needs of each other and others in need. We stand together in prayer because we believe Your Word, Your Promises and that a cord of 2 or 3 cannot be broken. Give us Your wisdom and words as we pray so that You receive all the glory, honor and praise! You have begun a good work and we believe that You are in the business of miracles! Have Your way, O LORD and teach us to always walk in that way, giving You praise, thanks and patience to wait and hear Your answer to our prayers in Jesus' precious Name...

  9. Father, I still need Your healing in my neck for which I have been taking medicine for a number of years. The medicine is causing some reaction and the doctor is starting to take me off the medicine but it will be a slow process. I ask Father, in the name of Jesus, that the problem will not return when I come off the medicine. I'm already feeling some effects of it but I know You will take care of me and see me through it all. Praise Your Holy name for any and all blessings You give me. Amen

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
