PERSONAL PRAYER REQUESTS and HOW THE LIGHTHOUSE WORKS

If this is your first visit, please stop by here and read a little bit about our ministry--how we are joining together to lift others to God in prayer. Maybe you come across someone that needs prayer while visiting blogs, instead of just saying, "Praying for you", do so and bring their prayer need and leave your prayer here and let them know that you left a prayer for them at the Lighthouse of Prayer

This is an interactive blog based on a comment and response system.

PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, PRAYER REQUEST, PRAISE, THANKS in the place that would normally read COMMENTS after the most recent post but here it will read "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD"... if a LINKY is not available. We have begun using a PRAYER REQUEST LINKY but if it's not there please leave PRAYER or REQUEST in "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD" (the area for comments but no comment) Thank you so much!

We'd love to see your prayer requests and praises to God in this area and hopefully others will be supporting you through their prayers written as a response to your prayer there. Be sure to come back and see the prayers lifting you and yours together to the LORD or leave one! You can also remain anonymous, God knows you.

Please remember NO COMMENTS, only PRAYERS! It is important that this be a house of prayer. Any comment, not as a prayer will be deleted. Thanks again!

FEBRUARY PRAYER REQUESTS

"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken"
Ecclesiastes 4:12

This is meant to be an interactive blog based on a comment and response systemThat's where YOU come in and we need YOU to help the Lighthouse of Prayer work effectively by joining us in sharing your prayer requests or other's you encounter AND then by leaving a prayer for them.

WE REALLY NEED YOU !
This blog ONLY works if we all JOIN together
in prayer and sharing.

Doing PRAYER REQUESTS a little different once again. We will NOT be using the LINKY.

We'd love to see your Prayer requests (Petitions) in what normally would be the Comment area, where others will be supporting you through their prayers hopefully, written as a response to your petition there. We'd like this to be a community of prayer, praying for one another.

We are encouraging you ALL to pray whenever you read a need of someone, so please respond here with a prayer also. You need not be a team member to leave a prayer for someone or bring a prayer need here. We all can lift up a prayer for each person and encourage someone, help to carry another's burden, stand with them and bless them.

So NOW in the "PRAYER LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD":

PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, or PRAYER REQUEST, this is the place that would normally read comments, here it will read "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD" so just add your prayer request there.

IT WILL BE HELPFUL if you start out by writing in caps PRAYER REQUEST then be as specific or general as you want to explain how we can pray with or for you or whomever needs PRAYER. Updates or praise reports are appreciated but please do as much as you can in prayer form. If you leave a PRAYER REQUEST, please try to leave a prayer also if it is for someone other than yourself.

All others should be PRAYERS for the ones in need of prayer. Comments will be deleted if they are not in a PRAYER for someone or a PETITION for prayer.
"For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."  Matthew 18:20

I read this in one of my devotional books that I'm reading by Holley Gerth, "Rain On Me: Devotions of Hope and Encouragement for Difficult Times" and it just seems so appropriate for how we'd like to see this "Lighthouse of Prayer" be such a place to share the Light of Jesus with each other for we are not intended to go through the storms alone and we each have some SON to shine on/for someone else...

"Lord, You didn’t create us to go through life alone, especially in the hard times. I pray for friends who will walk through the rain with me. I know many of them are hurting too, and today I want particularly to pray for.

now write your

PRAYER REQUEST

FOR WHOM?

FOR WHAT?

(need not be specific)

Lift the need in a prayer,
words from your heart
to the
Throne of God

This blog post is only for PRAYER REQUESTS,
please use other posts to write other prayers.

Although, you have been doing well in writing PRAYER REQUEST, I noticed that with so many it is difficult to pick out the PRAYER REQUESTS easily and quickly to add our prayers of support so I added in the LINKY again and you can do both or either; don't allow the system to stop you from leaving your PRAYER or your REQUESTS for yourself or others...

PROCLAMATIONS to PRAY

Song from John Waller, "Our God Reigns Here"

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
