If this is your first visit, please stop by here and read a little bit about our ministry--how we are joining together to lift others to God in prayer. However, what you read here and in the posts is actually enough.

Maybe you come across someone that needs prayer while visiting blogs, instead of just saying, "Praying for you", do so and bring their prayer need and leave your prayer here and let them know that you left a prayer for them at the Lighthouse of Prayer

This is an interactive blog based on a comment and response system. YOU are a part of our Prayer Team - the minute you add your prayer in the comment area or leave one for someone else in the reply under their prayer.

PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, PRAYER REQUEST, PRAISE, THANKS - in the place that would normally read COMMENTS after the most recent post, but here it reads "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD"... since a LINKY is no longer available. We begun using a PRAYER REQUEST LINKY, but if it's not there, please leave PRAYER or REQUEST in "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD" (the area for comments but do not write a comment) Thank you so much! Looking at this new template, it's difficult to know how to leave a comment (Prayer) but just click on the part that says __ comments. [it __ shows a number for how many comments/prayers are currently posted]

We'd love to see your prayer requests and praises to God in this area and hopefully others will be supporting you through their prayers written as a response to your prayer there. Be sure to come back and see the prayers lifting you and yours together to the LORD or leave one! You can also remain anonymous, God knows you.

Please remember NO COMMENTS, only PRAYERS! It is important that this be a house of prayer. Any comment, not as a prayer or prayer request will be deleted. Thanks again!

Please read announcement in Oct. 2014 first to understand better the lack of activity here! Thank you.

"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly brokenEcclesiastes 4:12

This is meant to be an interactive blog based on a comment and response systemThat's where YOU come in and we need YOU to help the Lighthouse of Prayer work effectively by joining us in sharing your prayer requests or other's you encounter AND then by leaving a prayer for them.
This blog ONLY works if we all JOIN together in prayer and sharing.

PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, PRAYER REQUEST, PRAISE,THANKS in the place that would normally read comments, here it will read "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD" or just add your request, if there's a LINKY PRAYER REQUEST available.

We'd love to see your Prayer requests (Petitions) in what normally would be the Comment area, where others will be supporting you through their prayers hopefully, written as a response to your petition there. We'd like this to be a community of prayer, praying for one another.

We are encouraging you ALL to pray whenever you read a need of someone, so please respond here with a prayer also. You need not be a team member to leave a prayer for someone or bring a prayer need here. We all can lift up a prayer for each person and encourage someone, help to carry another's burden, stand with them and bless them.
All prayers are welcome.

The Linky asks for a blog link (BUT you need not fill that in if you don't have a blog or the person that you are requesting prayers for does not). The intention of this, is so the people will go "visit" the person to encourage them or find out more about the situation. Thanks for sharing people that you find need prayer. THANK YOU FOR PRAYING FOR ONE ANOTHER!

"For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. " Matthew 18:20

IF at any time, THE LINKY is not here, please feel free to leave your prayer request in the comments or if it doesn't work for you.

"DAILY PRAYER" is from Germaine Copelandauthor of "Prayers that Avail Much"

I really do love this book!

I so appreciate the DAILY PRAYER from Germaine Copeland that changes each day here. I decided that I need a place to save these prayers each month. So I will be putting these PRAYERS of GERMAINE COPELAND, daily in the comments of this post and that way we will be able to come and read them any day.

By the same creator of The Father's Love Letter ~ Barry Adams at 365 Promises. You can view them daily at the linked site with a scripture, short devotional and one of these beautiful visuals!

A complete package of God Promises for you to PRAY... as I did back in JULY PRAYERS UPLIFTED TO THE THRONE (comments and post). Just claim a PROMISE, find the scripture and turn it into your prayer. SEPTEMBER SCRIPTURES of God's Promises>

It's Time to Pray

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
