Prayer Assignments for February 1-16

WORD MINISTRIES FEBRUARY PRAYER COVERAGE FOR THE NATIONS

"This is considered the month of love and expressing our love for special ones in our life. Isn’t it wonderful that God gave us the greatest valentine of all " in John 3:16... Let us pray together this month for the love of the Lord to shine bright in the nations of the earth!"

Please click on Prayer Assignments... to read more of who and how to pray for the Nations(number in parenthesis is for the day we are praying for that area, be sure to go read the specifics at WORD Ministries)... and let's cover God's Kingdom with love... we start out praying for Europe(1-5) "for God to raise up men and women who will pioneer this bridging of different cultures and backgrounds into one unified body that will glorify Jesus and win Europe back to the gospel." then on to the Pacific (6-8)"Completing the task of world evangelization in the Pacific..." continuing with Afghanistan (9-10), Albania(11), Algeria(12-13), American Samoa and Andorra(14), Angola (15-16)... it looks like we're praying A-Z from here on along with...

OPERATION WORLD: Prayer for Today... 1/6/12 The Church Worldwide; For the first 11 days, the prayer focus is the WORLD

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!  Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.” (Isaiah 52:7-8)

The World— January 1-11: Listed here are some of the critical international hot spots most likely to cause turmoil, conflict, and suffering or even war in the coming years. These need to be covered in prayer:

1 The future of Jerusalem. (Israel)The world’s holiest city is probably also its most volatile flashpoint. Conflict between Israelis and Palestinians has resisted major international efforts to resolve it. The fundamental and seemingly irreconcilable differences between most Israelis and Arabs mean that any outbreak of serious conflict can easily embroil neighboring countries – especially Lebanon and Syria. Many feel that such a war is almost inevitable. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

I hope to add one for each day, in the comments, just like in the Daily Prayer from Germaine Copeland, because there are 30... and we should pray for #1 every day. Maybe God will lay one of these on your heart to continuing praying for that country. Please pray as led by the Holy Spirit...

The rest will be continued in the "PRAYERS LIFTED to the THRONE" (comment area)...

60 Day Prayer Experience

List of Countries in Operation World

"Prayer not only changes people, situations and even the course of history, but also those who pray! It is dangerous for the enemy and also 'dangerous' for you." Patrick Johnstone (from "Why pray for the nations?" Pray and the Nations

So when it's the 9th, pray #9... etc. Pray for any country as or when you feel led. This post is to PRAY FOR THE NATIONS so "prayers lifted to the throne" here need to be for a NATION. Thank you!
*actually posted on 1/6/12, reposted again each month with new prayer assignments or links to WORD but did not want the others to be moved down from above such as our PRAYER REQUESTS and personal prayers...

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
