MAY PRAYER REQUESTS

"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken"
Ecclesiastes 4:12

This is meant to be an interactive blog based on comment and response system. That's where YOU come in and we need YOU to help the Lighthouse of Prayer work effectively by joining us in sharing your prayer requests or other's you encounter AND then by leaving a prayer for them, let them know that you are lifting them in prayer with us here.
WE REALLY NEED YOU !
This blog ONLY works if WE all JOIN together
in prayer and sharing.

We'd love to see your Prayer requests (Petitions) in what normally would be the Comment area, where others will be supporting you through their prayers hopefully, written as a response to your petition there. We'd like this to be a community of prayer, praying for one another.

We encourage you ALL to pray whenever you read a need of someone, so please respond here with a prayer also. You need not be a team member to leave a prayer for someone or bring a prayer need here. We all can lift up a prayer for each person and encourage someone, help to carry another's burden, stand with them and bless them.

This blog post is only for
PRAYER REQUESTS

please use other posts to write other prayers.

Your PRAYERS are always welcome!

When you leave a prayer request,
please come back to read the prayer(s) for you.
Hopefully you will find them right under your
PRAYER REQUEST
made possible with the new feature of

When you add a PRAYER REQUEST, please
write PRAYER REQUEST first
or just
add your prayer request in the

If you are praying for that prayer request

Nonetheless, if you are visiting daily, or weekly... they are here but change so if you miss a day, it won't be here the next day unless I add it to the comments...

so you can pray them daily or whenever you pass by here.

Germaine has another great book

A Message from Germaine: From My Heart to Yours
"Never has there been a time when prayer is needed more than now! Every believer can learn biblical principles of prayer that brings you into harmony and agreement with God and others. "

365 Days to a Prayer Filled Life

Clearly, I could not agree MORE!!!

Let's fill our lives with prayer and if you don't think you know how to pray just say the ones that Germaine writes and learn by looking at how she takes the scripture verses and turns them into prayers. You too can do this. There is no wrong or right way to pray, it's simply talking to God.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER ~ May 3rd

* I am so sorry that I did not get this posted in time for May 3rd so you could join in PRAYING for Our Nation but it's never too late

National Day of Prayer – May 3rd

The mission of the National Day of Prayer is to mobilize prayer in America and to encourage personal repentance and righteousness in the culture.
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.

We so need to PRAY as a NATION for OUR NATION, for our leadership, for our appointed and soon to be elected officials and the current ones as well as so many current situations in our country. We need to humble ourselves before the Lord, from the top of our nation to each individual believer, we need to rise up and be responsible to praying for God's authority over our authorities and laws.

Psalm 33:12

There are so many great links for today. I really love the
AUDIO PRAYER GUIDE on this page (to the right) and the one above it for I Pray Radio (on the air through May 3rd)

2012 PRAYER FOR OUR NATION by Dr. David Jeremiah (download available) from National Day of Prayer 61st Annual Observance

Heavenly Father,

Every good gift and perfect gift comes from You. You are a faithful God and Your mercy endures forever.

You have promised to bless the nation that trusts in You.  Our currency proclaims “In God We Trust,” but in our culture we are far from You.
In the words of the prophet Daniel, “We have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.”
We come before You once more, seeking Your forgiveness and mercy.  You, O God, are our only hope… Hear our prayer and, for Your honor’s sake, shine Your face upon this nation.
Give our leaders the desire to seek Your wisdom and the courage to follow Your guidance… and watch over the men and women of our armed forces as they sacrifice for the cause of freedom.
We give You thanks for all You have done for us, and we earnestly pray that You will help us become, once again, a nation whose God is the Lord.
In the name of Your Son, and our Savior, we pray this prayer.

His Holy Spirit!

*source of desktop Bible verse: Christian Free Wall Paper

Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask you to strengthen us with might by your Spirit. We receive your promise of the Holy Spirit– your power and ability. We ask for the fuller manifestation of the grace and energy of the blessed Spirit of God, in the removal of all that is contrary to your revealed will, so that we will not grieve the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, work in mightier power in the Church, for the exaltation of Christ and the blessings of souls. We need the power of the Holy Spirit working in our personal and business relationships. Amen. (Andrew Murray)

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
