PRAYER REQUESTS for DECEMBER

PRAYER REQUESTS ONLY*

"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken"      Ecclesiastes 4:12

This is meant to be an interactive blog based on a comment and response systemThat's where YOU come in and we need YOU to help the Lighthouse of Prayer work effectively by joining us in sharing your prayer requests or other's you encounter AND then by leaving a prayer for them.

WE REALLY NEED YOU !
This blog ONLY works if we all JOIN together
in prayer and sharing.

PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, or PRAYER REQUEST, in the place that would normally read comments, here it will read "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD" or just add your request, if there's a LINKY PRAYER REQUEST available.
"For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. " Matthew 18:20

We'd love to see your Prayer requests (Petitions) in what normally would be the Comment area, where others will be supporting you through their prayers hopefully, written as a response to your petition there. We'd like this to be a community of prayer, praying for one another.

We are encouraging you ALL to pray whenever you read a need of someone, so please respond here with a prayer also. You need not be a team member to leave a prayer for someone or bring a prayer need here. We all can lift up a prayer for each person and encourage someone, help to carry another's burden, stand with them and bless them.

The Linky asks for a blog link (BUT you need not fill that in if you don't have a blog or the person that you are requesting prayers for does not). The intention of this, is so the people will go "visit" the person to encourage them or find out more about the situation. Thanks for sharing people that you find need prayer. THANK YOU FOR PRAYING FOR ONE ANOTHER!

Please continue to PRAY for
her brother and her husband
Pray for Denise & Eddie

IF at any time, THE LINKY is not here or if it doesn't work for you, please feel free to leave your prayer request in the comments!

*Let's keep this ONLY for prayers for the Petitions for others or yourself, all other prayers are welcome but need to be added on another blog post, please. Thank you!
BE SURE TO SLIDE THE BAR(on the right) on the LINKY for MORE of the LIST ... something new, not my idea

DAILY PRAYER

This is a place for you to come and leave your daily prayer, praise, thanks and read from the "DAILY PRAYER" from Germaine Copeland

Prayers That Avail Much: 25th Anniversary Commemorative Gift Edition (Prayers That Avail Much) (Prayers That Avail Much)
I really do love this book!

I so appreciate the DAILY PRAYER from Germaine Copeland that changes each day here or you can go to the Daily Prayer Site.

I decided that I need a place to save these prayers each month. So I will be putting these PRAYERS of GERMAINE COPELAND daily in the comments of this post and that way we will be able to come and read them any day. You are most welcome to leave your daily prayer here... or a prayer on the theme/scriptures of the day from Germaine's Daily Prayer.

Importance of Prayer

especially for our nation, our leaders and other world leaders and their countries, we are commanded to pray for those in authority...

From First to Last
"Have you ever stopped to think about how great a portion of Scripture is occupied with the subject of prayer? Within the very first pages of the Bible you read, “At that time people began to call upon the name of the Lord.” (Genesis 4:26) Its closing plea is “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20)
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
Colossians 4:2
Throughout His Word are other examples. Jacob wrestled with the Lord and called upon Him (Genesis 32:24-30). Daniel prayed three times a day (Daniel 6:6-10). David struggled with life circumstances; his Psalms give glimpses of his expressions in prayer. Paul and Silas prayed and sang hymns to God (Acts 16:25).

Charles H. Spurgeon said, “We may be certain that whatever God has made prominent in His Word, He intended to be conspicuous in our lives. If He has said much about prayer, it is because He knows we have much need of it. So deep are our necessities, that until we are in Heaven we must not cease to pray.”

Beloved, continually lift your requests for comfort, strength, guidance for yourself and this nation, humbleness in daily living, and zealousness in proclaiming God’s saving grace. Rejoice in the privilege of fellowship with the Father."

ADVENT FOCUS Hope, Love, Joy, Peace

Advent focuses us on these 4 themes: Hope, Love, Joy, Peace as we prepare our hearts for Jesus Coming and grow in our relationship and intimacy with God. Let's look at God's Word and the Scriptures spoken from "Bible Promises Spoken" and turned into PRAYERS. For more Bible Promises, go to hearingGod's You Tube Channel.

PEACE

JOY

Love ~ Loving God

HOPE

You can PAUSE (button on the bottom to the left) on any one of these Scriptures and focus on the Bible Promise or jot down the Bible verse and write a prayer from it. If you'd like a list of them, Freedom01 makes them available at each You Tube Video in the info. where it says SHOW MORE

This is an extra place to leave any daily prayers, you may like to leave (not necessarily a petition or request, although it may include this): praise, thanks, or any of these scriptures turned into a prayer.

BIBLE PROMISES SPOKEN & PRAYED ~ HOPE

TUESDAY'S TOPIC: HOPE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L02Re5SM5WY

Please feel free to PRAY here also. Take one of these SCRIPTURES and pray or just share from your heart. Give God thanks, adoration, praise, or your own needs.
It would be best if some of your prayer had something to do with the theme, in this case: HOPE! Take encouragement in God's Word!

Psalm 42:11
1 Peter 1:21
1 Peter1:13
1 John 3:3
Proverbs 14:32
Colossians 1:5
Colossians 1:27
Psalm 31:24
Psalm 71:5
1 Peter1:3

Here are some examples and you can find more at SCRIPTURE NOW

Lord God, I find comfort and strength in knowing that Your eyes are upon me, because I fear You and hope in Your unfailing love. Psalm 33:18 (NIV)

Lord God, when my hope is gone, I will hope in faith.I will not weaken in faith … no unbelief or distrust will cause me to waver (doubtingly question) concerning Your Promises. I will grow strong and be empowered by faith and give praise and glory to You. Romans 4: 18-20 (NIV)

Lord God, my trust and assured reliance and confident hope is fixed in You. Hebrews 2:13 (NIV)

Lord God, You are my portion; therefore I will wait on You.I know that You will be good to me because my hope is in You and I seek You. I will rest in You and wait quietly for Your salvation. Lamentations 3:24-26 (NIV)

Lord God, I will be joyful in hope, patient in my affliction, and faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12 (NIV)

Lord God, I thank You for Your Word, written to teach me, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures I might have hope.
Romans 15:4 (NIV)

Lord God, I pray that Your hope will fill me with all joy and peace as I trust in You, so that I might overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13 (NIV)

Lord God, I know that I am unable to see my true condition; only You can see me for who I am. I am only able to understand what You reveal to me until that day when I see You face to face and then, I will know everything fully. I can know that there is faith, hope, and love, and I am certain through Your Word that the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:10, 12, 13 (NIV)

Lord God, I pray that the eyes of my heart may be enlightened in order that I might know the hope to which You have called me, the riches of Your glorious inheritance. Ephesians 1:18 (NIV)

Now it's YOUR TURN... go ahead open PRAYERS LIFTED to the THRONE and write one...

Shortybear

Alice, From the Heart, has been doing a wonderful ministry of praying here and has joined us in Denise's absence. But it's not up to any ONE person to pray, we all must.
Thanks Alice, from my heart and we know, from the heart of God! She and her beloved and family members also need prayer. Let's remember each other in prayer and give God thanks for the intercessors and prayer warriors that stand in the gap.

The Linky asks for a blog link! The intention of this, is so the people will go "visit" the person to encourage them or find out more about the situation. (BUT you need not fill that in if you don't have a blog or the person that you are requesting prayers for does not). Thanks for sharing people that you find need prayer. PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
