WE REALLY NEED YOU !

This blog ONLY works if WE all JOIN together
in prayer and sharing.

This is meant to be an interactive blog based on comment and response system. That's where YOU come in, we need YOU to help the Lighthouse of Prayer work effectively by joining us in sharing your prayer requests or other's you encounter AND then by leaving a prayer for them, let them know that you are lifting them in prayer with us here.

We'd love to see your Prayer requests (Petitions) in what normally would be the Comment area, where others will be supporting you through their prayers hopefully, written as a response to your petition there. We'd like this to be a community of prayer, praying for one another.

We encourage you ALL to pray whenever you read a need of someone, so please respond here with a prayer also. You need not be a team member to leave a prayer for someone or bring a prayer need here. We all can lift up a prayer for each person and encourage someone, help to carry another's burden, stand with them and bless them.

This blog post is only for current
PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use other posts to write other prayers
Your PRAYERS are always welcome here!

When you leave a prayer request,
please come back to read the prayer(s) for you.

Hopefully you will find them right under your
PRAYER REQUEST
made possible with the new feature of
REPLY

If you are praying for that prayer request
please use the REPLY right under that prayer request.

When you add a PRAYER REQUEST in comments,
please
write PRAYER REQUEST first

Thank you in the name of Jesus
let us pray

End of 2013 update: Thanks to each one of you who have kept the Lighthouse of Prayer going and shining forth God's light and love for one another and others.

I am not sure yet about the direction for 2014, so I am just leaving this post as is for anyone that may like to pray or leave a prayer request in a prayer for others to pray with you and of course, I am praying with you all and leaving this in God's hands for His direction.

May God continue to pour out His love upon you and your loved ones, be gracious unto you in every way, meet your needs and you wherever that may be, and keep you safe from any harm throughout this year in Jesus' name ...

IMPORTANT UPDATE CHANGE: this PRAYER REQUEST post will be moved above to the CURRENT PRAYER REQUESTS PAGE. We'll see how this works.

[when the prayers becomes too many, I will have to post a new page and we'll have to begin again, but hopefully not monthly].

  22. Father, only a healing from Your hands will return Denise to wholeness in her health. We have prayed for her daily and stand with her for the many she lifts to Your Throne but what we now today and we come boldly to Your Throne, asking for Divine Healing, Protection and care. You are all she needs and desires but we ask for MORE ... and outpouring of Your soothing touch, restoring her body, giving her wisdom and the medical care she needs to continue to battle this chronic illness that the enemy has been keeping her captive and down, far too long with fighting all the impact of this disease on her body. You are greater than diabetes. Lower these levels and help Denise get all of this under Your control and where they must be. Help Denise to function and deal with all of this, especially when she is alone, yet Denise is never alone, You are there with her. Watch over her. Give her more strength and Your grace to deliver her from this battle and be able to feel.
  23. Thank You for bringing her through since November! Yet she really needs You now and someone in human form to be with her. We ask that You send someone to be with Denise during the day. We command Your angels to take watch over her and that You will hold her close and give her Your mighty arms of comfort, love and restoration to her body, mind and soul. Renew her. Give her strength in Jesus' Name ...for by His stripes Denise is healed.

  1. Heavenly Father, I come before You humbly on this day and join my prayer warrior sister Denise and also Cathy, and Alice when she's able, with our prayer petitions lifted to You, believing that You hear each one and already have the answer.

We declare that You are Sovereign over every situation and circumstance, spoken or unspoken here (in writing) and we ask that Your will be done in each one. Extend You loving hand of mercy and grace over each one, according to Your Promises in Your Word, we come, ask, seek and knock! We will keep knocking LORD until Your will is done and Your kingdom comes. We thank You and give You praise for how You give us the privilege to come to You on behalf of each petition above and those yet to come.

Today, Lord, is our special day together, where I usually do not "ask" anything of You, but spend the day in Your Presence, in worship and conversation, listening and searching Your Word for my direction. Yet I come here with a heavy heart Father, as You know, for my sister in Christ, Denise ... but You know each day how I lift her and my other dear sisters to You and those You prompt me to pray.

I lift up the family of my dear Aunt Renie (and also my other cousin John, son of my other Aunt Doris) that You called both of them home in these last 2 months. Send Your Holy Comforter to them and if they do not yet know You or accept You as Lord and Savior, I ask that You reveal Your Son Jesus to them at this time and send someone to lead them to their salvation in You! I thank You for both of my dear Aunts. I will miss them greatly and as You already know I too am grieved at the loss of these my last 2 aunts, and now all have left this earthly place hopefully to Your arms. Forgive me for not sharing more boldly my faith in Jesus Christ and their need for Him as their Savior. May they rest in Your Peace and I will trust that they are with You, made this decision and You have welcomed them all home for eternity. Embrace each of my cousins; Steve, David, Jim, Rob, Jeanne and also John. Cover my Uncle Jack and Jan with Your continual grace and strength to press on in their beautiful faith in You so that their family and grandchildren will all come to saving grace in You. I believe because of them, many or all have ... thank You so much for this. I also add my sister, Carol and her family and my brother, Dick and his family or loved ones, to this salvation list as well as Sam. Let the message of salvation come to each one with their hearts ready and open to receive and accept Jesus now! They know of Him, but I do not know if they know Him as Lord and Savior. If any have fallen away from You, draw them back at this time in Jesus' Name ... may we all repent and be renewed in mind, spirit and body as You bring healing, comfort, peace, strength, mercy, forgiveness, grace and a new way of thinking, living and loving fully as Jesus has showed us and His Holy Spirit gifts us ... now and forever.

    1. Father, I just finished a very long Prayer Request for family members. You know who they are and have recorded what I wrote. PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
