10/40 WINDOW Day of Prayer on October 3rd, 2010

FROM AN EMAIL of Global Day of Prayer

Praying Through The Window 9

3 October 2010

When the story of the last days harvest is told in heaven, will you be part of it? Will your name be among those mentioned as
having taken part in the battle for the souls of mankind waged on October 3, 2010?

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a concert of prayer for the “final frontier” of missions. On Sunday, October 3, Believers around the globe will be standing in the gap for the lost and unreached of the 10/40 Window. Untold multitudes will be pleading for the Lord to transform this “resistance belt” into a “righteousness belt.”

Join Window International Network, along with Brothers and Sisters all over the earth, as we cry out on behalf of the precious people of the 10/40 Window. Spend 3 October 2010 interceding for this region – where the majority of the world’s Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists live, along with most of the people groups that have yet to be reached with the Gospel. Rally your family, small group, and church to participate in this history-making event.

to see how you can be part of 10/40 Window Sunday.

STOP RIGHT NOW – AND PRAY

Ø Pray for Believers to hear the call to intercede for the final frontier of missions. (I Timothy 2:1-3)
Ø Petition the Lord for the souls of the Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists living in the 10/40 Window. (I Timothy 2:4)
Ø Ask the Lord to soften the soil of the hearts of the unreached and bring forth a rich crop – drawing every man, woman, and child into relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 13:23)
Ø Cry out for those whose eyes have been blinded by the enemy and are held captive by false religions. (Colossians 1:13)
Ø Pray for a tremendous harvest of souls in the resistance belt. (II Peter 3:8)
Ø Declare the coming of God’s Kingdom in the 10/40 Window. (Matthew 6:10)

Here is a prayer I prayed over at Prayer Central for MEXICO but you can put in any country or even a person's name and pray this:

Bless the Believers in Mexico
Scripture“Now be pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue for ever in your sight; for you, O Sovereign LORD, have spoken, and with your blessing the house of your servant will be blessed for ever.” -2 Samuel 7:29
Prayer: Who among the gods is like You, O LORD? Who is like You– majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders? You alone are worthy of all our praise.
Lord, You are the God who loves to bless, so I bring the believers in Mexico before You now and ask for a mighty blessing on their households. Extend Your scepter Lord, and decree a blessing for them, that they might be a blessing to those around them.
Raise up those who know You Lord, and prosper them. Open their hearts Lord to the need around them. Set them in places of leadership and service. Bless their skills, and bless Mexico through them. May Your people be a beacon of light at this time, and a channel of Your blessings. In Jesus name, amen.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
