MAY YOUR KINGDOM COME... Day 3 GDOP

Blow the Trumpet!

A Call for Repentance and Prayer
Joel 2

Global Day of Prayer (GDOP),

23 May 2010

8 Days to go

217 Countries

DAY 3: SATURDAY, 15 MAY 2010

RULE! …May your kingdom come…

Lord Jesus Christ, You are the King of the Universe.

The scepter of your Kingdom is a scepter of righteousness.

Of the increase of your government and peace there will be no end.

From all the nations we will speak of the glory of your Kingdom and talk of your power, to make known to the sons of men your mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of your Kingdom.

We pray that many more people will hear the Word of the Gospel of the Kingdom so that there will be a great harvest of souls in our generation.

Let the hearing of your Word bring faith to many hearts.

Help us, who profess to be followers of Christ, to walk in the fullness of your Spirit and live in the likeness of Christ so that your kingdom will be seen in our lives.

As we bow before you in brokenness, come and soften our hearts, so that through the Church the Lordship of Jesus Christ will influence every part of our cities and societies.

We join with every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them to sing:

“To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!”

Many blessings
from The GDOP Team

GDOP PRAYER GUIDE 10 days

"The Global Day of Prayer is a call to united prayer. The 10 Days preceding the Global Day of Prayer creates an excellent opportunity to unite in prayer with millions around the globe, based on Acts 1 & 2. The 10 Days helps us to gradually build a lifestyle of prayer in our communities, as well as to focus our prayers much wider than our personal and national needs as we pray with millions during this time."

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
