VOICE of FAITH and TRUTH

If this is your first visit, please stop by here and read a little bit about our ministry--how we are joining together to lift others to God in prayer. This is an interactive blog based on a comment and response system. We'd love to see your prayer requests, praises to God, in the comment area and others will be supporting you through their prayers written as a response to your comment there. Be sure to come back and see the prayers lifting you & yours together to the LORD!

"If only you carefully listen to the voice of the Lord your God…"
(Deuteronomy 15:5, AMP)

I read in one of my favorite devotionals this week that there are two voices that compete for our attention throughout our day: the VOICE of FAITH and the VOICE of DEFEAT!

You have the choice daily in each circumstance, to which voice you will give attention.

The negative voices that tell us lies from our past, present or even future, send discouraging messages to defeat us daily. That negative voice may be louder, but you can override those thoughts and that voice. You can take away all the power of this voice by choosing the voice of faith.

The positive voice that gives us encouragements, lifting our spirit and filling us with HOPE and FAITH. Messages of truth that say "You can do all things through Christ ", "You are well able","You are more than a conqueror", "Your best days are yet to come."

When you speak faith, you are in agreement with God. When you speak forth defeat, you are in agreement with the enemy, who wants to rob, steal and defeat you thus winning your soul and thoughts turn to temptations and negativity. The moment you verbalize the thought, you give it the right to come to pass. We must choose to walk in the victory God has in store for us!

Joel Osteen says it best like this:

"God–talk brings God on the scene. Enemy–talk brings the enemy on the scene."

TO WHOM DO YOU CHOOSE TO LISTEN?

WHY NOT COME IN AGREEMENT WITH THE VOICE of FAITH & TRUTH?

CHOOSE to DECLARE VICTORY in each situation, DON'T ALLOW DEFEAT!

DECLARE FAVOR, BLESSING and INCREASE over your life and for those you are praying.

BIND every NEGATIVE, and RELEASE a POSITIVE counter attack.

Heavenly Father, Today and everyday, I choose the voice of faith and victory. I can do all things in Christ who gives me strength. I declare that today, I am rising up higher in You. Lord, forgive me for the times that I did not stop and listen for Your Voice and Your Truth being spoken.

I need a victory (over...........................) in Jesus' Name.

I bless and honor You in everything I think and do. I choose to fill my mind with Your Word, good thoughts that will defeat the negative battle for my mind. I am Yours and You are mine. May I find favor, blessings and victory in You! Thank You for all of Your Promises! Thank You for the full armor of God to protect me today! All glory, honor and praise to You! Be exalted and lifted up in my praises and words. I will listen and believe the VOICE of TRUTH

WHEN I STOP AND LISTEN TO THE SOUND OF JESUS

Why not take a moment today to STOP
and LISTEN
leave us your prayer!

What area of your life is Our LORD speaking that you may need His victory over now?

Can we pray with you? (even anonymously)

My Father,

I join Denise in my desire to grow closer and closer to You everyday. I am coming before you today to ask You to help me to become more faithful to You in all that I do and say and think.

I pray for Peggy today--to heal her of her illness. She has been ill for two days, Lord. Sustain and fill her with Your healing power.

I also come to thank and praise You, Lord!!

Thank You for filling Josh's mind with answers to my prayers to you. You knew just the right time and the right place for me, and You have once again provided for me. Thank You for using Josh in this way and giving me the courage to tell him that this was You working through Him for me so that he may too see Your provisions for us.

All praise and glory to You, LORD!!

I would love for you to pray for my friend, Jennifer R., that I was to train to help me on my job today...her husband, Sam R. has been taken to the ER with possible heart attack at the age of 43.

Please pray for healing, peace and comfort in the midst of this storm that they are in right now.

Dear Lord we lift up Jennifer and Sam R today. We thank You that You sent Your Son Jesus to die on the cross that Sam might see Your wonderous healing in his body today. We pray for wisdom in the Doctors that will be treating this young man and we ask You to send Your angels to comfort and provide peace to his wife and family. In the days to follow his recovery we pray that you show both Sam and Jennifer things they need to do differently to make Sam's heart healthy and strong. We don't always understand the storms brought into our lives, but we don't have to understand, we just need to have faith in YOU. So today Father God, we stand on the promises in Your Word and believe in the things we can't see, knowing that You are merciful and loving and that it's Your will to see all Your children prosperous and healthy and serving You. Let this sudden storm draw them closer to You and establish the everlasting covenant You have made with them.

And Lord we also thank You for Jennifer, the Co-worker who posted this prayer request. It is not by accident that she was to train Jennifer today, You set this up so the prayers would be there. Bless Jennifer today for her obedience to pray and seek You in all situations.

In the name of Jesus, author and finisher of our faith, we pray.

AMEN

Heavenly Father, We stand together in prayer for these people: we ask for Your urgent care & wisdom of all medical staff over this young man, Sam with heart problems ...whatever they may be, we ask that Your Hand be there, that You the Creator & Maker of Sam knows his heart the best and You are more than able to cause healing and restoration of each beat of his heart. We lift up his wife, Jennifer, and ask that you be the
Holy Comforter and bring Your peace to sustain her. We thank You that the prompt action may cause this to be resolved before there is any serious complications. We thank You
that You are in control of all this. Be with both Jennifers during this time of waiting and bring patience & Your perfect timing. Give Jennifer the help she may need as she waits to be able to train the other Jennifer. May the training go well and take place as soon as possible in the midst of all this conflict according to Your will. We thank You in the midst of all storms, You are there our anchor, You are Our Solid Rock, You
are Our Refuge & Shelter. You provide health, healing, peace, comfort, endurance, strength, wisdom and direction. We place this entire situation in Your hands so that You will be glorified. Thank You for surrounding Jennifer with Your Grace and Angels to help her as she meets the extra demands this places on her. Bless her Lord for sharing with many her prayer concerns so that others may stand with her in prayer. Give her extra
strength and energy to carry this extra burden. Thank You Lord that You are there for Jennifer each day. She has been through an awful lot and she needs all You can pour on her this week. May Your Abundant Grace flow from the Throne. We give You all glory, honor, and praise as
we thank You for the precious Name of Jesus that we call upon this day.

My Heavenly Father,

I come today to ask for Your healing power for Sam R. You know his heart more than any other, and You have the power to heal any damage that may have been done.

I ask that You guide all who are caring for him in Your wisdom, guiding them with Your direction in the healing of this young man.

Lord, use this storm in Jennifer and Sam's lives to increase their faith and trust in You as they lean upon You during this time. May they always lean on You for their strength, peace and comfort.

I pray for Sam's wife, Jennifer, and all of his family that they feel and be aware of Your presence with them during this time--standing close to them and holding them in Your arms.

I also pray for Jennifer who brought this prayer here. She is faithful to You, Lord, seeking You in prayer for guidance and direction in her own life. Give her peace and calm also during this trying time. Grant her patience with her job situation, giving her the knowledge that You see and love her and will supply her with all she needs at every given moment.

I thank you, Lord, for leading Jennifer here so that we may uplift Sam and his wife Jennifer and their family in prayer for Your healing power, Your strength, Your peace and Your love shown to them during this time of turmoil.

I praise you, God, always praise on my lips and in my heart. Even in the storms of our lives, we praise You, for You are our Almighty God.

I ask for Your healing power upon all in this storm in their lives in the name of Your precious Son, Jesus Christ, Our Savior, Our Redeemer,

Amen

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
