Pray on foot: Go to a tourist site and pray for the salvation of tourists. Pray also that your city or town will be filled with the manifest glory of the Lord so that nations will come to meet with Him rather than to see tourist attractions.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Just wanted to send out a Hallelujah, Thank You Lord, Praise God shout! Marcus made it through the surgery okay and so far things look good. Now the prayers are for a full recovery and quick healing.

Update on Allelulabell's husband Ron: Dear Precious Friends, Intercessors & Prayer Warriors,
We are still fighting the battle with Ron's illness. We are waiting to hear back from his doctor with regard to blood work that had to be sent away. It was supposed to take 5-7 days to get the results back. Also, we heard from Ron's doctor's secretary on Friday. It looks like we will be traveling to Burlington, VT at the end of July to see a Rheumatologist. Actually it is scheduled for 8:10 A.M. on July 28 (of all days, my Birthday), which means we will probably travel the day before and spend the night. Since Ron can't drive and hasn't been able to since his open-heart surgery, I will be doing all of the driving. The doctor still needs to get in touch with a Cardiologist in Burlington, VT as well for Ron to meet with, which we thought was supposed to be arranged for the same day. The secretary wasn't aware of that appointment. She is supposed to get back to us on that one. Ron is still on a regimen of Prednisone therapy until his next doctor's visit.
On Monday, 6/22/09, he was experiencing little bouts of chest pain every now and then throughout the day. He's just not himself. He's been taking it easy and usually by early afternoon, he lays down to rest for a couple of hours. That's pretty much the extent of our days this past week.
We celebrated Father's Day on Saturday. All four of our grandchildren were here. It was a fun, yet an exhausting day for my husband. He so enjoys our grandchildren, but he is finding it harder to do the many things he used to do without feeling tired after they leave, but he so loves each one of them. My daughter brought her camcorder and took some film of him with the kids outside. That was special.
I'm still praying and believing in a miracle for my husband. I so want that to happen for him. Sometimes I have weak and tear filled moments alone, but that's natural I guess. Sometimes it catches me off my guard and I have to walk away to be by myself. I was reminiscing today and telling him stories that he didn't remember. Everything that brought us together as a couple, have pretty much been erased from his memory because of his surgery and that's a tough one to share by myself at times. I talk to my Almighty Father and pray to Him especially during those desperate times when I'm feeling so lost without the husband that knew me so intimately. God knows. He knows. He comforts me and calms me during those times. He gives us both much grace.
We both still need your covering of prayers to go along with our own. My heart goes out to all of you for beautiful friendships that we have, for the wonderful prayer support here and so much more.
I've been trying to catch up in the last day or two with my dear blogging friends and it has uplifted me visiting you.
I will update you dear friends when I have more information. In the mean time, the illness is still ongoing.
May the Almighty Hand of God touch each and every one of you and your families each and every day. May He wrap all of you ever so safely and comfortably in His loving arms of grace and tender mercies in Jesus precious name. Amen.

Please pray for Debra:
Debra is in the hospital for her heart. She has had a cat scan and an ekg. There is something wrong with one of the muscles near or around her heart and they are going to do a heart catheter tomorrow sometime. If they find 70% or more blockage they will immediately do surgery and put a stint in or balloon it. If it's less than that they may move her to ORMC and have the procedure done there. She does not do well under anesthesia and her heart is weak.
Update on Marcus: 4 hrs after surgery, Marcus is resting comfortably (thanks to the morphine!) in Pediatric ICU at Desert Banner in Mesa. The surgeon had to do a C1 laminectomy and duraplasty in addition to the craniotomy decompression. The poor kid has tubes coming outta everywhere (3 IVs) but he's happy there's no catheter. They're waking him up every hour for neuro checks, and so far so good. He'll be in PICU for at least another day. We'll update this site as often as possible. Thanks for all your prayers.

PET Scan Scheduled
Jan is having the PET Scan today at 1:00. I think she probably will see her oncologist tomorrow for the results. I would be honored if you would:
1. Pray for great results.
2. Please also pray especially for Jan. She feels like her faith is being tested and she is failing the test. We can't begin to imagine how hard this has been for Jan. I believe she has done an amazing job in every aspect of this journey. Please pray for her faith to be restored and for peace.
3. Pray that this time off chemo her body will rebound and she will be physically restored.
4. Pray for safe travels.

As the summer progresses, we are excited to see the incredible things that God is doing throughout India, as well as in Nepal and in our brand new home in Moldova.
We would like to ask you to pray with us about an urgent issue we are facing. Project Rescue personnel have been in contact with a mother of an 11 year old girl in one of the brothels where our staff and other local leaders have been taking prayer walks. This mother is willing for her young daughter to be brought to a safe home for girls, however she is hesitant to do so for fear of the repercussions she herself may face when she returns to the brothel.
Please pray for favor in this situation and ask that God will move on the hearts of those involved so that they will act favorably on behalf of this young girl. Also, please pray that the Lord will keep this girl safe in the mean time and that through this process doors will be open for other girls and women to find safety and healing through Christ.
Thank you so much for joining us in prayer. We believe that God is going to do the miraculous in order to make his name known in India!

Update on Debra: God is good and the procedure went fine. They didn't find any blockage but they did find an artery that is smaller than it should be and it has embedded itself into the heart rather than just resting on it. They aren't sure if this is the cause of her troubles or not. She will be getting released in a few hours and will be home to rest. Her cardiologist will be reviewing the test results next week.
Please pray for baby Grayson: What began as a normal day, became anything but.... Dana's labor was progressing very slow and around 12:30, Grayson's heart rate dropped significantly and within a matter of minutes they did an emergency C-Section. He was a good 7lb 8oz little boy but his heart rate was very fast so they rushed him to the nursery to assess him without her even getting to see him. It appeared that after several hours he was breathing better but each time they took the oxygen hood off his levels dropped (an episode is what they called it)..Dana had a really bad reaction to the anesthesia so she was in recovery for a long time...just a rough afternoon for her....by late afternoon the pediatrician came by and said they were going to watch him overnight and keep him in the nursery under the "hood"! Within an hour that all changed and they decided he needed to be moved across town to the new state of the art NICU. Many of you know we spent more than enough time their with Baby Jack 17 months ago. By this time Dana realized he had a problem and it broke her heart not to see him...
Greg and I met the ambulance at WK South and were able to spend about an hour with him in the NICU. He is precious.
Its after midnight and I am not sure I have even made a complete sentence..Baby Grayson is stable. They have him sedated to give his little body some time to rest and heal. We spent time with the neonatologist late tonight. He was encouraging that Gray is going to be OK but he is a sick little one tonight.
He has a collapsed lung and a small hole in his lung that hopefully will close up on its own. There is a lot more the doctor told us but I am afraid I will get the terminology wrong.....and what really matters is that the his little lung just get better.
So my prayer request tonight is that Dana and Greg would get some good rest....and that tomorrow we will get a good report on this sweet baby.

~Results, Plans and Prayers~
Well..........let me see if I can explain the results correctly.
I'll start with what is absolutely good news. There are 2 areas. One is on top and this area is "cold," which means DEAD TISSUE. The other area, where she had surgery initially, shows dead tissue, but also shows some activity. It is unusual for the two to be different.
The oncologist believes they are both dead tissue, but to be safe, the only way to know for sure is for Jan to have surgery. Her oncologist had already hand picked a surgeon this morning and they saw him this afternoon. He said, right off the bat, that he would not do surgery, unless he absolutely believed it was necessary. I think if she chooses to have the surgery, they will go in to see what is there, remove what they can whether it is active or dead tissue.
It has been Jan's prayer that God take away the tumors/cancer. In saying that, she NEVER wanted to have surgery again. She is EXTREMELY upset. When she had her initial surgery she was in a light coma and didn't know she had surgery until it was over.
She is also having a ultrasound on her legs because her feet are swollen.

Since we truly experience His love, we can walk boldly, with a sense of confidence to God and let Him handle all the anxieties that trouble us.
Pray that Jan has a sense of peace and comfort. Pray that God gives her what she needs to make the decision in which direction she should take. Also pray especially that Jan, but also our family will remain steadfast in Faith and that we will not give in to Fear. Nothing can rob you of joy, confidence, optimism and opportunities more quickly than a spirit of fear.
"I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge --that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." If Jan chooses to have surgery, she will have to return to MD Anderson sometime Monday for pre-operative testing with the surgery being Tuesday.

Update on Allelulabell's husband Ron: Dear Friends, Intercessors and Prayer Warriors,
My husband and I met with his Cardiologist from Burlington, VT today. He travelled to our area hospital to meet with us.
From my previous postings, Ron just recently (within the past couple of weeks) had a battery of stress tests done. The results show that there are significant changes from his stress tests completed in May 2008. As a result, his Cardiologist will be setting him up for a heart catheterization in Burlington, VT. The Cardiologist does not want to wait until the end of July, therefore we are waiting for a call from him with the date of his catheterization. He said he would like to have it done as soon as possible: within the next several days in Burlington, VT.
There are a gamut of thoughts and emotions going through my mind right now as the last time my husband had a heart catheterization done in December, 2006 it resulted in open-heart surgery. The Cardiologist told us that if he had to have any stents put in, that it would be done at the time of the heart cath and that would include an overnight stay. I've never had to drive my husband to Burlington, VT for any of the procedures he has had done at Fletcher Allen Hospital there, so I am a wee bit nervous about that. It is approximately a 3-4 hour drive one way and Ron can't drive and hasn't been able to since his open-heart surgery in December, 2006. It would also involve getting a hotel room, etc. if needed and the possibility of my staying overnight by myself, which would be a new experience as well.
I keep telling myself: one day at a time, one day at a time. God will take care of everything, absolutely everything. I'm leaning and pressing into Him ever so hard with complete trust in Him that all will be taken care of, financially as well, as this is something we hadn't planned on in our budget at this time.
As soon as I have more details about the upcoming trip and procedure for Ron, I will post about all of that. In the mean time, I am relying on His love, grace, tender mercies, strength, courage, endurance and so much more at this moment. I am placing all of it in His hands, as I cannot bear the thought of any of this, in any way, on my own. My mind, heart and soul are still believing and asking for His mighty, mighty miracles in Ron's situation...for complete healing of his heart and entire mind, body and spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.

Update on Marcus: Omgosh! I can't believe how this week has flown.
Marcus came home Saturday and is doing great.
He walks around the house by himself.
He gets dizzy just sometimes now, not all the time.
No more pain meds.
No pain!
I say thank you for all your prayers and positive thoughts.

You are the best!
All the meals were so YuMMY! and all the neighbors who were so caring, not even knowing our family, wrapping around us like that.

Update on Cheryl's sister Jan: Gerald just called and Jan had a very restful night. She had morphine for a headache about 7:00 last night, but since then she has only had Tylenol. She had a couple of episodes of getting sick from the anesthesia, but has had breakfast this morning.
The surgeon has just been in and said he got all of the tumor. He has looked at the MRI she had last night and it looks great. It is looking like she will come home Friday. She has called her boys this morning and talked to them, so I know they are thrilled.
The nursing staff is in with her now and they are going to take her catheter out, which will thrill her as she wanted it out yesterday.
