IMPORTANT TO CONTINUE TO PRAY & BELIEVE FOR ANDREW!
Please go there & read current update.
Pray for Andrew

Please see updates in Prayer Comments here by DENISE and
with BELLA ~ MELLA from their own faith filled blog:
...We have received a very bad report. But God.
HE is the I AM.
He is able, mighty, awesome, amazing, wonderful, beautiful, holy, creator, sustainer, redeemer, healer, Father and
Designer of Brains.

PLEASE continue to intercede in faith filled prayer for a miracle for
Andrew. ~ Aug. 31, 2009
...The report is he has an inoperable stage 4 brain tumor. It is in the white matter of his brain which is why it is inoperable. The oncologist does not offer much hope. (I detest even writing that but want you to know what we are dealing with.)... Sept. 4, 2009
BUT WE ARE GOING WITH GOD ON THIS. WE BELIEVE HIS REPORT.
PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR ANDREW and his family. To have your faith increased just visit BELLA MELLA and allow Melanie to speak faith and encouragement in the midst of this heavy battle, the LORD speaks blessings to her and she rejoices in her spirit. She will bless you when you go there to pray about Andrew as she offers an update, you will leave more blessed. Make a stop there regularly. As the prayers go up, the blessings come down, and we are standing with her in FAITH!
**************
Update from 9-24-09 "Seeking the Kingdom First"
"Specific prayer: Pray that test results are good ones. Pray that when Andrew is moved, the roommate situation will not be a source of stress. He is being moved today. We have no control over that. Picu is quiet and the nurses are great here. But we will not be allowed to stay here.
Andrew has had a headache today. He had Tylenol, then Percoset and finally morphine. Pray that the headache is gone when he wakes and does not return. We were told this morning to expect to spend about 2 weeks in the hospital.

Finally, pray for my husband, myself, our other children and my parents. This, obviously, affects the entire family.
We need your prayers to strengthen us in this battle for our son's life and health.
I need YOU, YOUR prayer, YOUR faith." ~ Melanie & family

Andrew went home to be with the lORD on December 15th, 2009. Keep his family in prayer.

URGENT PRAYERS FOR ANDREW
Melanie's blog asking for prayers for her son Andrew.

I just received an email from Melanie stating they have taken Andrew to All Children's ER. Please join me in prayer.

Father, in the Name of Jesus, I confess Your Word concerning healing. As I do this, I believe and say that Your Word will not return to You void, but will accomplish what it says it will. Therefore, I believe in the Name of Jesus that Andrew is healed, according to 1 Peter 2:24. It is written in Your Word that Jesus Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. Therefore, with great boldness and confidence I say on the authority of that written Word that Andrew is redeemed from the curse of sickness, and he refuses to tolerate its symptoms.

Satan, I speak to you in the Name of Jesus and say that your principalities, powers, your spirits who rule the present darkness, and your spiritual wickedness in heavenly places are bound from operating against Andrew in any way. Andrew is the property of Almighty God, and He will give you no place in his life. Andrew dwells in the secret place of the Most High God. Andrew abides, remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty, whose power no foe can withstand.

Now, Father, because Andrew reverence and worships You, he has the assurance of Your Word that the angel of the Lord encamps around about him and delivers him from every evil work. No evil shall befall him, no plague or calamity shall come near his dwelling. Andrew confesses the Word of God abides in him and delivers to him perfect soundness of mind and wholeness of body and spirit from the deepest parts of his nature in his immortal spirit even to the joints and marrow of his bones. That Word is medication and life to his flesh for the law of the Spirit of life operates in him and makes Andrew free from the law of sin and death.

Andrew has on the whole armor of God, and the shield of faith protects him from all the fiery darts of the wicked. Jesus is the High Priest of his confession, and Andrew holds fast to his confession of faith in Your Word. Andrew stands immovable and fixed in full assurance that he has health and healing now in the Name of Jesus.

amen amen amen

Father, we come to You on behalf of dear Andrew. We trust in Your Word which says Andrew has life, and has it to the full. Even though the doctors report may be negative, we know that You have the last word regarding his life. Surround Andrew with Your tender mercies, raise him up as a testimony of Your great healing power. You are the same miracle working God yesterday, today, and forever. We take authority over every malfunctioning part of Andrew's body, we command him to be made whole. We say on the authority of Your Word, that with the stripes of Jesus, he will be healed. in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Newest update on Andrew:
I have my husband's laptop in Andrew's hospital room. This afternoon we saw some improvement in Andrew's left side facial expression. We had other family members who witnessed it as well. Later when the nurse examined him, we did not see it but we have no doubt the improvement is there! We saw it! He was able to lift his mouth on the left side to smile. Both sides were up. He was able to slightly raise his left eyebrow. It seemed that when his smile was genuine, it was perfect...both sides lifted. When later examined, the left did not raise. We don't know why this is but we rejoice that his smile was beautifully expressed earlier this afternoon. When we all noticed, Andrew too, that he was having improvement he was very happy. So happy. I told him that God is answering the prayers of a multitude.

I have nothing but my words reflecting my heart to convey to all of you how blessed and encouraged, how lifted up, how humbled we are that so many of you are standing in the gap for us. Your intercession is a mirror of the intercession of the Holy Spirit and Christ Himself.

God gave me a song this morning. When I have more time later I will share the words with you.

Dear ones, know that God is a faithful, trustworthy Father. He is worthy of praise and worship all the time. He deserves nothing less than our highest praise even when that praise is offered as a sacrifice of praise. He is a rock in a weary land. He is the I AM. He is our shelter. We can safely hide in Him.

Even in the midst of a pyschotic episode which Andrew suffered through for hours Thursday night, God was worthy of our worship. He is worthy, worthy, worthy. He is Holy, Holy, Holy.

Thank you and BLESS you for your intercession.

We are moving to another room out of the ICU shortly.

I want to share more of God's Goodness with you. If I am able I will post later tonight. Andrew has been resting most of the day. No hallucinations, no double vision. Praise God! This is from Andrews mom Melanies blog, here is the link to her website: http://bellamella-melanie.blogspot.com/ Please visit, they need your love, prayers, and encouragement.

Hey bloggy friends!
This is Lisa for Melanie. I just spoke with Melanie and as we were speaking Andrew had just been taken back for surgery. Life-saving surgery. They've had a rough three days and this morning God led them to a hospital in Gainesville called Shand's. Dr. Pincus is performing a surgery on a cancer they were told is inoperable. Please pray for Andrew and Dr. Pincus and the entire Dorsey family. The surgery will last for approximately four hours.

Newest update on andrew: I'll tell you more details later but just know Andrew is talking to us, made an inside joke that the nurse didn't get but we did! He wants to see Ted, his dog, and is trying to move his toes and fingers on the left side.
Oh...And we ARE being led in TRIUMPHAL PROCESSION in CHRIST and through us He spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of HIM. And He is sweet perfume -the Balm in Gilead!!!

Thank you sisters and brothers who have stood in prayer, awakened in the night, had your children praying, sent us emails, comments, scriptures, devotions and battled in spiritual warfare for THE MIRACLE FOR ANDREW. I know that the Father is faithful to complete what He has begun.

Update on andrew: I spoke to Dr. Amy Smith yesterday and told her I had to know something: "Do you have hope for Andrew?"
She said, "Yes."
We sat and talked for several minutes and she went through her proposed plan for radiation and chemo. After hearing the hard news that even with the surgery, the type of cancer we are dealing with is very resistant to treatment, I told her I understood the reality and we will continue to place Andrew back into the Father's hands. I told her that Andrew belongs to God and we have just had the privilege to steward him and we WANT him. "We are believing for God to do what only He can do," I continued.

I added that we would continue to fight the good fight of faith and also search for every thing in the physical realm to help our boy.
She and I both had tears in our eyes. I told her, and she agreed, that God led us here on Friday and He would not let us go nor leave us.

I will REJOICE, I will REJOICE and be glad..."

I know you may be weary of praying for THE MIRACLE FOR ANDREW, but please don't give up hope and please continue to speak about him to the Father. If you prayed even once for Andrew, know that YOU have been a part of the beginning of The Miracle that saved his life on 9/11. We look forward to sharing the completion of that MIRACLE!
Love,
Melanie & family

Father God, I stand in awe over the journey that has begun with Andrew through this attack from the evil one. I stand in awe that was impossible with man, has become possible with You. I stand in awe at how everything is unfolding, showing the evidence more and more of Your power and glory REVEALED upon Andrew's life, his body, his mind, his heart, his spirit and his brain. WE praise You for You truly are doing MORE than we could have ever asked, prayed or hoped for.

New update on andrew: We're home. Yesterday was very hectic and followed a night of little, if any, sleep for me. My husband had stayed up all night Sunday so he slept on the sleeper chair. Andrew had a difficult night Monday due to a roommate being brought in around 10:30 p.m. It was a stressful situation. No details because I want to put it behind us. But because of information that is supposed to be private, yet how private can it be with a curtain between one patient and another, Andrew was frightened with what he overheard. He cried silent tears then asked me, "Why am I going through this?"

I lay as close to him as possible, trying not to cry myself. I did everything I could do to comfort him, protect him and help him relax. Then I stood guard throughout the night. Praying. Crying. Watching.

The next morning I became the "squeaky wheel" to get out of there fast. We were discharged around 10:30 a.m. but couldn't head home until we met with the doctor at the cancer clinic.
We also picked up a wheelchair to use when out of the house this week.

Yesterday was 21 days since the first visit to the family doctor. And here we are.

More later today... http://bellamella-melanie.blogspot.com/

Another update on andrew: UPDATE:
Sorry to say, there may be a problem, so the surgeon wants us back for a cat scan. We're leaving but hoping to come back home soon. God has not left us, of that I am assured. We don't understand what is happening but we know God is good ~ always.
Please pray this latest thing is not serious. Please pray we can come back home for a few days after all. Andrew needs your prayer for hope and encouragment. I want him to smile today.

Another update on andrew: I just wanted you to know that we are home again. It is a 3 hour drive from our home to Shands in Gainesville. Because Andrew started feeling fluid building in his head, we needed to go back to the hospital for a CT scan. Praise the Lord! The CT scan did not show hydrocephalus. If it had, he would have needed a shunt.

So the surgeon's PA used a needle to drain the "stuff" and they will send it to the lab. Since they would not have the report for about 3 days, and since Andrew was feeling fine otherwise, we got to come home.
Specific Prayer: Pray that there is no bacteria in the fluid and that it is simply fluid that has not reabsorbed properly...but should naturally over some time.

It's Time to Pray

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
