PERSONAL PRAYER REQUESTS and HOW THE LIGHTHOUSE WORKS
If this is your first visit, please stop by here and read a little bit about our ministry--how we are joining together to lift others to God in prayer. However, what you read here and in the posts is actually enough.
Maybe you come across someone that needs prayer while visiting blogs, instead of just saying, "Praying for you", do so and bring their prayer need and leave your prayer here and let them know that you left a prayer for them at theLighthouse of Prayer
This is an interactive blog based on a comment and response system. YOU are a part of our Prayer Team - the minute you add your prayer in the comment area or leave one for someone else in the reply under their prayer.
PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, PRAYER REQUEST, PRAISE, THANKS - in the place that would normally read COMMENTS after the most recent post, but here it reads "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD"... sincea LINKY is no longer available. We begun using a PRAYER REQUEST LINKY, but if it's not there, please leave PRAYER or REQUEST in "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD"(the area for comments but do not write a comment) Thank you so much! Looking at this new template, it's difficult to know how to leave a comment (Prayer) but just click on the part that says __ comments. [it __ shows a number for how many comments/prayers are currently posted]
We'd love to see your prayer requests and praises to God in this area and hopefully others will be supporting you through their prayers written as a response to your prayer there. Be sure to come back and see the prayers lifting you and yours together to the LORD or leave one! You can also remain anonymous, God knows you.
Please remember NO COMMENTS, only PRAYERS! It is important that this be a house of prayer. Any comment, not as a prayer or prayer request will be deleted. Thanks again!
Please read announcement in Oct. 2014 first to understand better the lack of activity here! Thank you.

PRAYER THAT AVAIL MUCH ~ AUGUST
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
I so appreciate the DAILY PRAYER from Germaine Copeland that changes each day here. I decided that I need a place to save these prayers each month. So I will be putting these prayers daily in the comments of this post and that way we will be able to come and read them any day.
I hope these prayers help you as they do me, to focus on scripture and pray God's Word.
Be sure to come back DAILY and catch the new PRAYER as it CHANGES, especially if you are without a prayer or words, this will stir your heart and you can pray these as you read... and then your prayers may come...
In the month of JULY(see comments), Germaine Copeland's prayers covered:
Faith For Finances
Prayer of Affirmation
Prayer of Reconciliation
A Healing Prayer
Prayer for our country
The Lord is Near
Renewing Thought patterns
The Power of God's Word
Trust in the Living God
The Holy Spirit
God Hears the Prayers
Words of Wisdom...
...and many more
You may find one that you need. I find it so helpful to be able to read Germaine's prayers to stir my own heart to continue praying. If you are in a place, where you're lacking the words to pray, come read the ones that are shared HERE each day as they change. May our prayers continue to AVAIL MUCH.
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States
"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation.Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --
This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
