PERSONAL PRAYER REQUESTS and HOW THE LIGHTHOUSE WORKS

If this is your first visit, please stop by here and read a little bit about our ministry--how we are joining together to lift others to God in prayer. However, what you read here and in the posts is actually enough.

Maybe you come across someone that needs prayer while visiting blogs, instead of just saying, "Praying for you", do so and bring their prayer need and leave your prayer here and let them know that you left a prayer for them at the Lighthouse of Prayer

This is an interactive blog based on a comment and response system. YOU are a part of our Prayer Team - the minute you add your prayer in the comment area or leave one for someone else in the reply under their prayer.

PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, PRAYER REQUEST, PRAISE, THANKS - in the place that would normally read COMMENTS after the most recent post, but here it reads "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD"... since a LINKY is no longer available. We begun using a PRAYER REQUEST LINKY, but if it's not there, please leave PRAYER or REQUEST in "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD" (the area for comments but do not write a comment) Thank you so much! Looking at this new template, it's difficult to know how to leave a comment (Prayer) but just click on the part that says __ comments. [it __ shows a number for how many comments/prayers are currently posted]

We'd love to see your prayer requests and praises to God in this area and hopefully others will be supporting you through their prayers written as a response to your prayer there. Be sure to come back and see the prayers lifting you and yours together to the LORD or leave one! You can also remain anonymous, God knows you.

Please remember NO COMMENTS, only PRAYERS! It is important that this be a house of prayer. Any comment, not as a prayer or prayer request will be deleted. Thanks again!

Please read announcement in Oct. 2014 first to understand better the lack of activity here! Thank you.

PRAYER THAT AVAIL MUCH ~ AUGUST

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

"DAILY PRAYER" is from Germaine Copelandauthor of "Prayers that Avail Much"

Prayers That Avail Much: 25th Anniversary Commemorative Gift Edition (Prayers That Avail Much) (Prayers That Avail Much)
I really do love this book!

I so appreciate the DAILY PRAYER from Germaine Copeland that changes each day here. I decided that I need a place to save these prayers each month. So I will be putting these prayers daily in the comments of this post and that way we will be able to come and read them any day.

I hope these prayers help you as they do me, to focus on scripture and pray God's Word.

Be sure to come back DAILY and catch the new PRAYER as it CHANGES, especially if you are without a prayer or words, this will stir your heart and you can pray these as you read... and then your prayers may come...

In the month of JULY(see comments), Germaine Copeland's prayers covered:
Faith For Finances
Prayer of Affirmation
                                       Prayer of Reconciliation
A Healing Prayer
Prayer for our country
The Lord is Near
Renewing Thought patterns
The Power of God's Word
Trust in the Living God
The Holy Spirit
God Hears the Prayers
Words of Wisdom...

...and many more

You may find one that you need. I find it so helpful to be able to read Germaine's prayers to stir my own heart to continue praying. If you are in a place, where you're lacking the words to pray, come read the ones that are shared HERE each day as they change. May our prayers continue to AVAIL MUCH.

An Excellent Spirit
Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent of and renounce selfishness, and take responsibility in my generations for the sin of rebellion. I ask for forgiveness and break the curse of stubbornness. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. I desire to follow the Lord my God with my whole heart. In the name of Jesus, I decree that I have an excellent spirit, which enables me to do courageous feats in Gods Kingdom according to the grace you have given to me. Amen

Day 2
The Lord Forgives All Our Iniquities
Fortunate is the man to whom the LORD imputes (counts) not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile or deceit. I am looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify us as a peculiar people unto Himself, zealous of good works. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all our iniquities; Who heals all our diseases. Amen

God of peace, I pray that You will sanctify me wholly; and I pray that my whole spirit and soul and body will be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. You called me by the gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, I stand fast, and hold the traditions, which I have been taught in the name of Jesus. Amen.

God Give us Victory

For I wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. You are my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge. Day 25
Overcoming Rejection
Lord Jesus, You are a high priest who is touched with the feeling of my infirmities. You were in all points tempted like I am; yet You were without sin. You were despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief. I hid as it were my face from You; You were despised, and I esteemed You not. Forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I am coming boldly unto the throne of grace, that I may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. I thank you for helping me overcome this horrible sense of rejection! Amen

Day 26
Sin of Rejection Defeated
Father God, I repent of the sin of rejection and renounce this vile enemy of faith. I take responsibility in my generations for this stronghold that has separated me from You, from others and myself. I have judged the facial expressions of others, and rejected them because I feared rejection. I confess that I rejected them before they could reject me. I ask for forgiveness and pray that this curse of rejection be broken, and by the power of the Holy Spirit I cast it out in the name of Jesus. This curse is broken in my family because we are accepted in the Beloved. Amen

Affirmation of Deliverance
Today I will extol the Lord; praise shall continually be on my lips. My soul will boast in the Lord; when I am afflicted I will hear the voice of my God and rejoice. Come, glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. When I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. I look to Him and I am radiant, my face is never covered with shame. I called, and He heard me; He saved me out of all my troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around me because I revere Him, and He delivers me. Praise the name of the Lord! Amen

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
