ADVENT FOCUS Hope, Love, Joy, Peace

Advent focuses us on these 4 themes: Hope, Love, Joy, Peace as we prepare our hearts for Jesus Coming and grow in our relationship and intimacy with God. Let's look at God's Word and the Scriptures spoken from "Bible Promises Spoken" and turned into PRAYERS. For more Bible Promises, go to hearingGod's You Tube Channel.

PEACE

JOY

Love ~ Loving God

HOPE

You can PAUSE (button on the bottom to the left) on any one of these Scriptures and focus on the Bible Promise or jot down the Bible verse and write a prayer from it. If you'd like a list of them, Freedom01 makes them available at each You Tube Video in the info. where it says SHOW MORE

This is an extra place to leave any daily prayers, you may like to leave (not necessarily a petition or request, although it may include this): praise, thanks, or any of these scriptures turned into a prayer.

*note to readers: these were in draft and I forgot about publishing them, better late than never

I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8 Because of You Lord, I can lie down, and sleep like a baby. You calm all of my fears, and give me great comfort. I know I am safe, all because of You. Thank You. I love You. Amen.

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord, is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10 The joy of the Lord, is definitely my strength. Your joy Lord, makes me feel like I can do anything, like I am super woman. Thanks for filling me to overflowing, with Your precious joy. I love You.

The LORD says, "I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.
Psalm 91:14 I do truly love You, with everything I am. Thank You for rescuing me time after time, and keeping me constantly protected. I will never forget Your help to me. I love You. Amen.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
