PRAYER for Our Nation
This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:
Declaration of Independence Signer
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States
"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --
This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.

Happy New Year!
Today is a day of new beginnings. Were you disappointed, hurt, and dismayed in 2011? Take charge of your thoughts and do not allow yourself to be afraid nor dismayed because God is with you. He will uphold you with His victorious right hand. (Isa. 41:10) Choose to hope in God and wait expectantly for Him. Praise Him, He is your Help. Regardless of past events choose to believe God, and remind yourself that Gods plans for you are for good and not for evil. He gives you a future and a hope. (Jer. 29:11) Face the New Year with hope, expectancy and the assurance that God is faithful. He cares for you and He will not fail one word of His promise. Let go of the hurts, envy and jealousy, quit blaming others for where you are today, and remember that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. No longer allow the past to dictate your decisions. Commit your way to the Lord and make plans for the New Yearcounting on God to direct you.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I choose to let go of the past and receive the new transformation that you are working in me according to Your Word. You are upholding me with Your victorious right hand, and I make it my primary goal to know You better and more intimately. I ask You to fill me with Your mighty, glorious strength so that I can keep going no matter what happensalways full of the joy of the Lord. This year I will love, laugh and spread the joy that You have set before me in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Scripture Meditation: Colossians 1

Thank You Father for a brand new year, and a new start. I look forward to all this year holds in store for me, and my loved ones. I love You, and give You all the praise. Amen.
Morning Prayer
Overcoming Fear
Yes it is true that we are living in perilous times; in a world that is dangerous and volatile. Choose to declare your faith – not your fears. Do not give place to fear – fear has torment – fear will rob you of peace and needed rest. Again and again you read be not afraid, do not fear, have no fear. God has not given you a spirit of fear; let not your heart be troubled. Wait upon the Lord, take time to pray, read and meditate knowing that the Holy Spirit is helping and guiding you. There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or kept secret that will not become known. (Mat 10:26) One of our former USA presidents said that there is nothing to fear except fear itself.
PRAYER:
Father, in the name of Jesus, You are my place of Refuge, my Strong Tower, my Safety. I draw near to You, knowing that You will not fail one word of Your promise. I abide in the secret place of the most High, and I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and Fortress; my God; in Him will I trust. Because I abide in You and Your Word abides in me, I ask for those good things that You have provided for me – salvation, deliverance, healing, prosperity and health even as my soul prospers. Surely You will deliver me from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Security
Each and every day the media releases fear-filled words into the airwaves. At one time we followed the ways of this world and the ruler of the kingdom of the air. Now we who are in Christ have been delivered out of darkness, translated into the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. Pull down fear-filled words by speaking God’s Word, and fear not for God is with you.
PRAYER:
Father, thank You for comforting and assuring me of Your divine intervention as I walk this journey here on earth. I dwell, remain and settle down under the shadow (defense, protection) of the Almighty. I abide in You and Your Word abides in my. I say of the Lord that You are my Refuge, my place of Protection. You are my God, True and Faithful. You are my Security. You have given me a spirit of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. I choose to replace feelings of insecurity with confidence and faith, and assurance. You are my exceeding great Hope. In Your name I bind my emotions to the control of the Holy Spirit and go forth with confidence. Amen.

Scripture Meditation: Psalm 91, 2 Timothy 1:7
Dear heavenly Father, thanks for letting me be secure in Your love. Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You ever so much for intervening so many times in my life and protecting me. You keep me secure! And like Denise I'm so glad that I am secure in Your love. Many times I struggle with insecurity here, but I choose to replace those feelings with confidence, assurance and my faith in YOU! I'm so grateful that with all that is happening in the world and particularly in my part of the world with the constant violence, corruption and killings, that You protect me and keep me safe! You are my Rock and my Refuge! I dwell in the shadow of the Almighty and claim Psalm 91 over me and this household.
Maintain a hedge of protection around my walls and my house, keep us all safe. Protect the good people and the police that are not corrupt. Weed out all this corruption in high places in governments and places of law and order. May all bow to Your authority and power, not to the power of money and greed. You are our exceeding great HOPE! I put our community in Your hands, asking for Your mercy and grace, protection and proper security in Jesus' name... we will not fear.
Trust in the LORD
God provides for His people. Reinforce your trust in Him by believing that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. God is the Rock of our salvation, our Foundation. I encourage you to memorize and mediate on Scriptures that proclaim who He is and receive by faith the things He is to His people.
PRAYER:
LORD, You are my rock, my fortress, my Deliverer, my God, my Strength, in whom I will trust; my Buckler, and the Horn of my Salvation. You are my High Tower. For Your name’s sake lead me, and guide me. You brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and You established my goings. You are my Strong Habitation, whereunto I may continually resort; You gave the commandment to save me for You are my Rock and my Fortress. In the name of Jesus, You are my Foundation. Amen.
Scripture Meditation: Psalm 18:2; 31:3; 40:2; 71:3
Father, I truly trust in You. On You, I know I can totally lean upon, without falling. Thank You. I love You.
Thank you Father, for being my strength and salvation. You are the one I put my trust in. Thank You for Your unconditional love and for supplying all our needs. I love You, Father and thank You for all Your blessings. Help me to be a light to others that they might see You in me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
A Place of Strength
Eulogize God, speak well of Him, and proclaim who He is. Personalize Scripture -- the Bible is God's love letter to you. You need Him, every hour you need Him; He is here to enfold you in His love. His mercies are new every morning; great is His faithfulness. He will never fail you or forsake you.
PRAYER:
Father, I come before the Throne of Grace to receive mercy and find grace to help me in this hour of need. LORD, You are my Refuge and my Fortress: my God, in You will I trust. You are my High Tower, and my Deliverer; my Shield, and again I say You are the One in whom I trust. O LORD, my Strength, You are my Refuge in the day of affliction, anguish, distress and adversity. If God be for me who can be against me? In the name of Jesus, I decree that I am strong in the LORD and the power of His might. Amen.
Scripture Meditation: Psalm 91:2; 144:2; Jeremiah 16:19
Thank You Father, for being my place of strength, when I am weak, You pour Your strength into me. I love You. Amen.
Abiding in Jesus
You can choose to abide in despair, depression, guilt and condemnation -- or -- choose the higher road; abiding in Jesus. Live in right relationship with the Father, growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Listen to teaching tapes, Scripture tapes, praise and worship tapes during the day and at night. Almost every night I go to sleep with a teaching or Scripture tape. It takes effort and discipline to maintain your right relationship with God.
PRAYER:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I am abiding in the Vine, and He abides in me to cultivate a harvest of love, joy, peace; forbearance, kindness, benevolence; meekness, and self-restraint in my life. I belong to Christ, having nailed my natural evil desires to His cross, where they were crucified. Father, I am not desirous of vainglory, and will not provoke or envy others, but I seek to bring forth those good fruits, which are to the praise and glory of God. Amen.
Scripture Meditation: John 15:1-17; Galatians 5:22-23;

I love to abide in Jesus, instead of depression, grief, or worry. Thanks for allowing me to abide in You, and You alone. Amen.
Thank You Father for giving me freedom to choose. I choose life, and to spend my life, serving You, and loving You. Amen.
Freedom to Choose
God sets before you life or death the choice is yours. How do you choose life? By choosing to be spiritually minded, which is life and peace; to be carnally minded is death (Romans 8:6). You can choose to think like the world (carnally minded), or you can become God-inside-minded. Read and meditate on God's Word, memorize and personalize Scripture, pray Scriptural prayers. Put God's Word first. Choose life!
PRAYER:
Father, You have set before me life and death, blessing and cursing. I come before You choosing life that Iand my children might live. I choose to love You, Lord my God, to obey You and to cling to You, for You are my life and the length of my days. Thank You for blessing me with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. I turn away from everything wrong, whether of body or spirit, and purify myself, living in the wholesome fear of God, and give myself to You alone. In the name of Jesus, I give Your Word first place in my daily life. Amen.

Guarantee of Salvation
Salvation includes forgiveness of sins, healing of all diseases, and redemption from eternal destruction. God is faithful to fulfill His promises. Let your prayer be a prayer of affirmation for you and your family.
PRAYER:
Father, we believe in our hearts that You raised Jesus from the dead, and we confess Jesus is Lord over our spirits, souls and bodies. Father-God, You planted us like strong and graceful oaks for Your own glory, and anointed us to rebuild the ancient ruins reviving them though they have lain there many generations. We thank You for forgiving all our iniquities and healing all our diseases. We decree that our families and future generations shall come to the knowledge of the Truth and be saved. We offer this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Father, We, at the Lighthouse of Prayer BELIEVE that You and in You... that You raised JESUS from the dead and we
confess JESUS as LORD over our spirits, souls and bodies...
including our loved ones, who have yet to come to know You in this glorious way!
Father God, You planted Denise, Alice, Cathy, the rest who pass by here and I,
like strong and graceful oaks, (GRACE FILLED)for Your own glory and we receive the anointing to rebuild the ancient ruins... reviving them though they have lain there many generations!!!
We thank You for forgiving all our iniquities and healing all our diseases for us individually and for our loved ones...
We decree that our families
(some mentioned and some not mentioned here) and future
generations SHALL COME to the knowledge of the Truth and BE SAVED! WE DECLARE SALVATION belongs to them in YOU alone and they all desperately need to COME to YOU!
We offer in agreement with Germaine Copeland's prayer and Your WORD in Romans and Psalm 103...
1 Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
6 The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
7 He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:
8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.
15 The life of mortals is like grass,
they flourish like a flower of the field;
16 the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
17 But from everlasting to everlasting
the Lord's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children's children—
18 with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.
19 The Lord has established his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom rules over all.
20 Praise the Lord, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding,
who obey his word.
21 Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts,
you his servants who do his will.
22 Praise the Lord, all his works
everywhere in his dominion.
Praise the Lord, my soul.
Father, thank You so very much for forgiving me, and saving my soul. I appreciate You so much. My salvation is the greatest gift I have ever been given. Amen.
Breaking Generational Curses
God looks for one believer in each family who will stand in the gap and build a hedge to turn away His wrath(Ezekiel 22:30). You can be that one who stands before the Father on behalf of your family and future generations.
PRAYER:
Abba Father, I thank You for sending Jesus who brought us out from under doom by taking the curse for our wrongdoing upon Himself. We have witnessed the fruit of disobediencethe iniquities of the fathers passed down to the present generation. We repent and renounce our sins and the sins of our ancestors, and ask You to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In the name of Jesus we break generational curses of our earthy fathers, and bow ourselves before You, our Heavenly Father who is faithful, forgiving, loving, kind, compassionate, and full of mercy. Amen.

Father, please help my family, to tear down the strongholds left from past generations. Fill them with Your love, let them build future generations upon You, the solid Rock. I love You Father. Amen.
Breaking Generational Curses
We not only pray, but become an example to our families as we exchange wrong, ungodly thinking for God's thoughts. Our families, environment, educators both at school and church shaped our thought patterns. These thought patterns (positive or negative) control our relationships and behavior. God has given us spiritual weapons for the destruction of wrong thinking: theories, reasonings, religion, metaphysics and doctrines contrary to God's Word. Let it begin with you.
PRAYER:
In the name of Jesus, we tear down, demolish, annihilate, crush and smash wrong strongholds (thought patterns) handed down to us from our forefathers. We capture and bring into obedience mindsets that are in opposition to the Word of God. Forgive us for exalting our family culture, customs and traditions above the Word of God, and loving the world more than we love You. Forgive us for being stiff-necked, stubborn and rebellious, and insisting on having our own way. We repent of and renounce selfishness and self-centeredness. Father, we thank You for loving us, and for cleansing us from all unrighteousness in the name of Jesus, the Son of God. Amen.

Father, Joining my sister Denise in agreement tearing down strongholds in her family and extended families, my family and extended family...
and all our brothers and sisters that pass through the Lighthouse... we come against these strongholds of generational curses and we cut the ties off in the heavenlies, right to the very root...and we ask that You deliver us from evil and put up Your hedge of protection. Deliver of who still need to be set free in Jesus name and especially those with addictions of all kinds, that they would be loosed and we cast those addictions to the pit, never to return in the Name of Jesus. Bring conviction not condemnation to the captives. Thank You for sending Jesus to bear and take the curse of our wrongdoing upon Himself. By His righteousness, we live.
We repent and renounce our sins and the sins of our ancestors and ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing!
In the Name of Jesus, we break generational curses and we bow and confess before You alone... break any obstacles and hindrances of You reaching our prodigals; sins of idolatry, rebellion, pride, rejection,
bitterness, unforgiveness, on and on...as You reveal to us, let us stand in the gap and break these over our families and loved ones by the power of Jesus' blood and the precious Name of Jesus, we pray...
Breaking Generational Curses
When you pray, believe. God's presence is felt wherever your children may be -- in all parts of the universe. They will not escape His presence. You have the power to deliver them out of strange lands. Pray in the name of Jesus who takes away the sin of the world.
PRAYER:
Father, You gave us power to tread on serpents and scorpions, over all the power of the devil. In the name of Jesus, we charge familiar spirits that have created various breakdowns in the souls (minds and emotions) of our children to come out, and enter no more into them. We pray that our children will keep themselves from idols (false gods) - (from anything and everything that would occupy the place in their hearts that is Yours, from any sort of substitute for You that would try to take first place in their lives). Father, we thank You for watching over Your Word to perform it. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Breaking Generational Curses
Jesus gave us the keys to bind and loose. In His name we bind mercy and truth to the hearts and minds of our children. Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the table of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man (Proverbs 3:3-4).
PRAYER:
In the name of Jesus we bind the fear of God, the will of God, the grace and mercy of God and the blood of Jesus to our children's spirits, minds and bodies. We bind their minds to truth that makes them free, and whom the Son has set free is free indeed. We loose wrong perceptions about God, bad feelings toward others, thoughts of self-hatred, anxieties, the fear of rejection and the fear of man from them in the name of Jesus. You desire truth in the inner parts, teach them wisdom in the inmost place, and guide them in Your truth, for You are God our Savior. Amen.

Generational Blessings
In our family my parents left us a legacy of faith in God. We experienced His power to heal, saw Him provide clothing, food and shelter. They lived their faith, were diligent in their work, and prayed with us and for us! Establish the will of God in your home. Your children are precious gifts from God, the Father, and your greatest ministry is training and teaching your children by word and action that they are valuable and precious to God and to you.
PRAYER:
Our Father, Your kingdom come, Your will be done in our families even as it is in heaven; hallow Your name in our families. You chose us before the foundation of the world, and we thank You for pouring out Your Spirit upon our offspring, and Your blessings upon our descendants. You are contending with those who contend with us, and You are giving safety to our children and easing them day-by-day. Thank You for forgiving all our iniquities and healing all our diseases, and crowning us with loving kindness and tender mercies, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Father God, I give You much deserved praise for generational blessings that You have given to my family. I prayed for my mother for years, and when she was living with me from 2004-2006, she became very sick. With Your help, I was able to take care of her until she passed away in 2006. Your greatest blessing upon me Father, was You allowed me to lead my mother to salvation, in my home, in her bedroom, a few months before she passed away. Thank You so very, very much Father. May I be able to lead others in my family to You Father, and those that have backslidden, may I be able to guide them back to You. I love You. Amen.
Overcoming Prejudice
Today is the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. and I offer the following prayer in memory of him and the legacy he left to the world.
PRAYER:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we repent and ask forgiveness for tolerating prejudice in the household of faith. Forgive us for segregating ourselves by color, by a measure of wealth or intellect. We pray and look forward to the day when every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain made low, the rough places made plain, and the crooked places made straight. We believe that one day the glory of the Lord shall be revealed to all flesh. We call for an end to division and segregation in Christs family. The Kingdom of faith is now our home country, and we are no longer strangers or outsiders. We are one in the bond of love the love of God, our Father. We pray in the name of Jesus that this nation will acknowledge in deed that all men are created equal. Amen (Excerpts from Overcoming Prejudice, Prayers That Avail Much Commemorative Edition)

Father God, I pray that I will be an imitator of You, not of the world, and evil. I want to walk as Jesus did, and always honor You Father. I love You. Amen.
Father God, I pray for peace, and acceptance, no more prejudice. Let us all be accepting, and loving toward one another. Lead us in the right way Father. I love You. Amen.
Father God, I am so thankful to You for everything in my life. It does not matter if I am well, or sick, happy, or sad, I am forever thankful to You. I love You Father. Amen.
Thanksgiving
The Scriptures admonish us to be thankful. The prayer today is to help you offer praise and thanksgiving to God even though you may not feel like it. If you are going through a trial, remember praise will stop and still the avenger. You can choose to come before the presence of God with thankgivings because He is your God, and He is a good God. I encourage you to enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations.
PRAYER:
Oh, Father, we thank You for rescuing us out of the darkness and gloom of Satans kingdom and bringing us into the Kingdom of Your dear Son, who bought our freedom with His blood and forgave us all our sins. We look forward to new experiences, emotional and physical healing, spiritual growth and a more intimate relationship with You healing in broken family relationships. Thank You for providing us with Your whole armor that we might be prepared for those things that happen outside of our control. In our fellowship with You we remember that You are at work for our good in all circumstances. Thank You for loving us, and calling us according to Your purpose. In the name of Jesus, I pray, amen.

Father, everyday, in everyway, I want my life to be a new beginning in You. A fresh start, loving You, more, and more. Amen.
Starting Over
Have you ever wished that you could start over? There is a way. You can live a new life by the glorious power of the Father. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Cor. 5:17). God doesn’t just patch you up; He makes you brand new. Let go of the past, put off the old and put on the new man created in Christ Jesus.
PRAYER:
Father, we thank you for loving us and providing salvation. Thank you for delivering us from the power and dominion of sin, and bringing us into a safe place. You have saved us because of your mercy, through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. It is by grace we have been saved, through faith – and this is not from ourselves, it is the gift of God. Now that we belong to you, teach us obedience to the Holy Spirit’s instructions that we might walk in newness of life. Jesus, you are the Author and Finisher of our faith, and we offer this prayer of thanksgiving in your name. Amen.

Dear Prayer Partners,
let us pray together.
In the last days there will be wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes and famine (Matthew 24). These are the signs of the times…the last days in which we are living. Fear can become a stronghold in our lives. In her book, Shattering Your Strongholds, Liberty Savard writes that fear “is erected around great apprehension and anxiety over unresolved experiences and memories.” Ask God to show you how to resolve past painful experiences. Practice praising God and meditate on Psalm 91, Isaiah 41:10, John 14:27, 2 Timothy 1:7 and Psalm 56:3-4. When you face your fears they will fall helplessly behind you. Choose to believe God’s word and drive fear out of doors.
Free From Fear
Father, in the name of Jesus, we shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow [the evil plots and slanders of the wicked] that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprises and lay waste at noonday. We establish ourselves on righteousness in conformity with God’s will and order. We shall be far from even the thought of oppression or destruction, for we shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near us. Amen. (Protection From Terrorism, Prayers That Avail Much Commemorative Edition)
Psalm 91
©2012 Word Ministries, Inc
Father God, help me to truly fear no one except You. I shall fear You out of respect. All other fears, I will lay at Your feet, and never pick them back up. I love You. Amen.
Abortion
Often we hear from women who carry the guilt and condemnation of a decision they made many years ago. Too often rather than being a solution, the decision to terminate a pregnancy becomes the moment of unresolved grief. But when any one of His children repents, God is faithful — God is just — and God forgives.
PRAYER:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask You to forgive the sin of our nation for disregarding the sanctity of life, and sanctioning abortion. We recognize that You uniquely create each person, Lord – each one is marvelously made! You know each one inside and out, You know every bone in the body. All the stages of a life are spread out before You, and the days are prepared before a child even lives one day. Since we now see clearly, we value the life You give. Lord, we repent of our sin and the sin of our nation. Be merciful unto us, O Lord. We ask Your forgiveness knowing that You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Amen. (Those Involved in Abortion, Prayers That Avail Much Commemorative Edition)
Scripture Meditation: Psalm 139 Message; 1 John 1:9

Father God, please forgive all those, that have had abortions. Taking the life of an innocent baby is never acceptable. Please let them fall to their knees, and seek Your forgiveness. Help them realize how precious life is, and to never have any more abortions Father. I love You. Amen.
United States of America
It was September 11, 2001, when the White House was evacuated -- people were fleeing to the nearest exits in mass exodus as stated by one of the White House employees. America was under attack! Let us not grow weary and complacent -- there are people who want to destroy our nation. Rise up, O church of the Living God and pray...supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence (1 Timothy 2:1-2).
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the United States of America, which was founded upon religious freedom and Your Word. Thank You for the founding fathers, Lord, who looked to You for guidance to develop the kind of government that would be pleasing to You. Our president and his advisers need Your wisdom to safeguard freedom. By wisdom You laid the earth's foundations, and by understanding You set the heavens in place. I pray that these leaders will turn their ears to wisdom and apply their hearts to understanding. May the light of Your word run swiftly and prevail throughout the USA, and Your love burn brightly in this land. Give us a rebirth of freedom, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Scripture Meditation: Proverbs 2:2; 3:19; Acts 6:8; 12:24; 13:49; 19:20
Father God, please keep watch over the United States. We have so many enemies, that really want to cause us harm. Please keep us safe, and free from attacks. We love You Father. Amen.
Families
On this day in 1956 our son, David, was born. What a joyous day! He was followed by three girls, who added to our joy, and now we are blesssed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We hold precious memories and sometimes talk about the difficult, painful days of growing up. Many times I seek the Lord on behalf of my family, and pray that they will fulfill their destinies. Nothing brings me more joy than to know that they are walking in truth. God is faithful!
PRAYER:
Father,in the name of Jesus, we pray that our families will not be terrified or afraid knowing that You go before them. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. We pray that our families will not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. Father, give us a heart to walk in all Your ways as You have commanded us so that it may be well with us and You will prolong our days on earth. Amen.

Father God, thank You for always guiding my destiny. I was an attempted abortion, but You had better things planned for my destiny. I praise You for that. More than once, I have come very close to dying, but, again You intervened. You , and only You, control my desting. I love You. Amen.
Destiny
God knew you before the foundation of the world, and saw you while you were being formed in your mother’s womb. He ordained and appointed you with pupose and destiny. He imparted special grace gifts into your DNA that are necessary for fulfilling His plan as you walk through the stages of life here on earth. You were created for His good pleasure and He rejoices over you with singing. He sent the Holy Spirit to direct you in your obedience and service.
PRAYER OF AFFIRMATION
Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive grace and peace which you have multiplied to me in the knowledge of God and of Jesus my Lord. Your divine power has given to me all things that pertain to life and godliness. Your grace gives me the ability to fulfill my destiny – walking in paths you have ordained for me. Your peace directs me and acts as umpire in all my decisions as I walk with confidence and assurance. I thank you for giving me the knowledge of Jesus Christ who called me by glory and virtue, and for giving to me exceedingly great and precious promises that through these I may be a partaker of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. I live and move and have my being in Jesus Christ my Lord! Amen.

ABIDING
Are you abiding (resting) in God’s Word–holding fast to His teachings and living in accordance with them? The Christian believer is a branch grafted into the True Vine, Jesus Christ. The life of God flows into your innermost being, and through your faith Christ actually abides in your heart to give you the power of understanding. God’s nature will remain permanently within you. Hide His Word in your heart, keep yourself in the love of God building yourself up on your most holy faith praying in the Holy Spirit. You are a living witness that God is good and merciful to all who call upon His name.
PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
Father, I thank you for the fragrance of the knowledge of Jesus Christ, which flows through me to others. I abide in Jesus, He abides in me and through the power of the Holy Spirit, I am salt and light in the earth – a witness to him everywhere I go – in my home, the workplace, and to the end of the earth. I purpose to practice the presence of Jesus, and make choices that will honor you, Father. Thank you for leading me in triumph in every situation I face today in Jesus’ name.

TRUSTING IN THE LORD
Where is your trust level? Do you find that you have difficulty trusting because of past painful relationship experiences? Sometimes a person will build a wall of distrust preventing those who would be a friend from getting close enough to betray them. Unfortunately this stronghold also prevents the individual from fully trusting God. God sent Jesus to bind up and heal your wounded heart, and He gives you the grace to forgive those who have hurt you. God is faithful–He is on your side. If God be for you who can be against you?
PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
Father, I thank you for giving me the grace to believe in you and your Word even in the midst of the storms of life, providing a place of rest for me. In the midst of seemingly impossible demands, deadlines and tasks at hand, my heart is steadfast, fixed trusting in you. Your strength and boldness are released to me as I confidently rest in your promises. In your presence I am refreshed, restored and renewed in Jesus’ name. Amen.

CONFIDENCE
A lack of confidence will hinder your relationship with God, and often cause you to deny yourself the more abundant life that Jesus came to give you. Develop a strong faith. Developing an intimate relationship with the Father and learning who you are in Christ Jesus will fill you with confidence and assurance. Fill your thoughts and your mouth with His word and enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 10:19). The Lord Himself shall be your confidence, firm and strong, and He shall keep your foot from being caught in a trap of hidden danger (Proverbs 3:26).
PRAYER OF AFFIRMATION
Heavenly Father, you are my light and my salvation. By your grace, I shall not fear man nor become entangled in the ungodly traditions of men. I throw aside every weight and sin that has tried to ensnare me so that I might run the race you have set before me with confidence, efficiency and effectiveness. I seek to be temperate in all things and run this race to receive a crown of eternal blessedness with certainty. Father, in my life be glorified, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

BLESS THE LORD
The Bible says that we have what we believe in our heart and say with our mouth. How much of your everyday conversation is devoted to negative, unfulling words? Do you talk more about the devil than about your Heavenly Father? Fill your mind with good things and speak words that are filled with grace and encouragement. Talk about the many blessings God has bestowed on you and your family, Eulogize God, speak well of Him, talk about His goodness and mercy. He has blessed you with all spiritual blessings in Christ! Let His praise be continually in your mouth.
PRAYER OF AFFIRMATION
Lord, I bless your holy name! I will not forget all your benefits – you forgive all my iniquities, heal all my diseases, redeem my life from destruction, and crown me with loving kindness and tender mercies. Thank you for satisfying my mouth with good things, so that my youth is renewed like the eagle’s. I worship you in the splendor of your holiness, in Jesus’ name.

DESTINY
Walk in your destiny trusting the Father God to direct your pathway. All things are possible to him who believes, and God has promised that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. God is your Strength and you are self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency (Philippians 4:13). With God all things are possible.
PRAYER OF AFFIRMATION
Though some trust in chariots (riches) and some in horses (materials things), I will remember the name of the Lord, my God. You shall cause me to be as Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken or moved off course, and I shall walk in paths you have ordained for me. LORD, you surround me from this time forth and forever. In Jesus’ name, I will reach the destination you have charted for me, Father, bringing great glory to your kingdom. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

DIVINE HELP
When our son was in his addictions we turned to many for help, but there was no one who could assure us of his deliverance. We decided to be put our faith in God’s Word concerning children. The Holy Spirit helped us remain stable and fixed as we waited to see the salvation of God. There are two Intercessors who cannot fail: Jesus and the Holy Spirit. When my faith seemed at the end, the Holy Spirit was my Strengthener and Standby. After 28 years, which seems a short time in retrospect, we have seen the salvation of God; David is gloriously delivered and working in the ministry. God will never forsake you or leave you without support. He is ever present to help you in times of trouble and weakness.
PRAYER OF AFFIRMATION
Father, by the grace you have given me, I trust you and your promises. You said that you would never leave me nor forsake me. You are always with me, in every personal and business situation. Thank you for the Holy Spirit who is my Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Teacher and Guide. Though fear arises, I will not be dismayed because you uphold me with your victorious right hand in Jesus’ name. You are my Helper. Amen.

THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH
Even though I am a great-grandmother I haven’t forgotten those days when our children were young…when the three older children were in grade school and the baby was still at home. There were days when I wanted to stay in bed or run away. I was tired of nurturing; I needed someone to nurture me. If the dirty clothes hamper was empty I knew that in a few short hours it would be overflowing again…the children would be hungry before I completed cleaning up after a meal…there was someone who needed to be picked up. My body would be screaming for rest!
If you are a young mother you may identify with this…trying to keep house, drive carpool, meet the needs of a husband and children; struggling to make it through the day. You may, also, work outside the home. I encourage you to take control of your thoughts – turn to the one who is ever present. He will give you strength; the Lord will bless you with peace. Choose to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. The Holy Spirit will strengthen you with energy from on high. He will help you maintain your joy. Take some deep breaths and ask the Holy Spirit to help you schedule times of rest–even though they may be brief. He is your Helper!
PRAYER OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Lord, I thank you for loving me. Right now I feel weary, but I choose to release my faith by acknowledging you as my Strength, my Rock, my Fortress, my Deliverer and my Shield. Your Word is active, operative, energizing, and effective. I give thanks to you, my Lord, I sing praises to Your name, O Most High, I choose to show forth Your loving-kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night for You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your works; at the deeds of Your hands I joyfully sing. The joy of the Lord is my strength, and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Amen.
