Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – (NIV)

2Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

CHOOSE GRACE, HUMILITY, LOVE...

This is another place for you to come and leave your daily prayer, praise, thanks and whatever you'd like to talk to God about this day.

O Lord, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress, to You the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, “Our fathers possessed nothing but false gods, worthless idols that did them no good.

Father, I come before the Throne of Grace to receive mercy and find grace to help me in this hour of need. LORD, You are my Refuge and my Fortress: my God, in You will I trust. You are my High Tower, and my Deliverer; my Shield, and again I say You are the One in whom I trust. O LORD, my Strength, You are my Refuge in the day of affliction, anguish, distress and adversity. If God be for me who can be against me? In the name of Jesus, I decree that I am strong in the LORD and the power of His might...

If God be for me...
If God be for my family...
If God be for my spouse...
If God be for my sister, brother or nieces and nephews, bil, or sil, grandchildren...
then NOTHING... NOT ONE THING can be against us!

I stand in the authority of Jesus Christ and proclaim...
as for me and my household we will serve the LORD...

make Yourself known,
make Yourself strong in my life so I can be strong to help others come to know how awesome and wonderful You are...

that You alone are holy,
You alone are the Most High,
You alone are Savior and King and so worthy of all our praise!!!

I worship You! I exalt You!
I thank You for Your glorious power! I stand in awe at what You are doing, even when I can't see it,
I believe... You O Lord make all things work together for our good. I desire to see all of my household proclaiming You as Lord and serving You this year, but they are in Your hands and I trust You for Your perfect timing... please do not let one perish... I ask this in the Name of Jesus and by the power in His blood to loose them and deliver them from any sin or harm... believing You love them even more than I do... and I give You all glory, honor and praise as You wait for every knee to bow and every tongue to confess that You alone are God, Lord Jesus Christ that through You we come to the Father... Hallelujah! Mighty is Your Name and Your power!

Thankful for Grace

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Corinthians 9:8 KJV

Lord, thank You for Your grace. It is by grace that my heart was drawn to You—grace that was extended, not in limited measure, but in abundance; not sprinkled down, but poured out; not just enough to get me by, but more than enough to bring me through as more than a conqueror.

I receive Your grace—I run to it, welcome it, embrace it. Thank You for not putting Your grace on hold or hiding it away for safe keeping. Thank You for making it available to me now, when I need it most.

Your grace brings me riches in my poverty; sufficiency in my inadequacy; abundance in my lack. I thank You for being so gracious—for Your heart of grace that is reaching out, for Your throne of grace that invites me in, and for Your gift of grace. Thank You for Your only begotten Son, who has embraced me in His arms of mercy, and who brings to me the fullness of grace and truth.

Jesus, thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to me. Thank You that the Holy Spirit is the source and the river of Your life being lived in me. Thank You that I can fully and confidently trust in the work of the Holy Spirit in my life, for the Holy Spirit’s nature is exactly the same as Yours.

Holy Spirit, I yield to Your control. According to the Word of God that You have inspired, I acknowledge that the impatient demands of my flesh have been crucified with Christ and shall not have dominion over me. I take the control of my life out of my own hands and place it into Yours.

Spirit of God, I receive, by faith, the fruit of Your patience. I turn away from the attitude that insists things must work out according to my timetable, my plans, and my expectations. Bring me into agreement with the ways You work and Your perfect timing in my life. Produce in me a quiet heart and fill me with the fruit of joyfulness as I learn to wait upon the Lord. Work in me, Your beautiful work of righteousness.

Don’t Confuse Your “Do” With Your “Who”

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well”
(Psalm 139:14, NKJ)

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Have you ever noticed that when you ask someone “Who are you?” a lot of times they’ll say, “I’m a salesman.” “I’m a minister.” “I’m a coach.” “I’m a teacher.” Many people find their identity in what they do. The problem with this kind of thinking is that people identify themselves with their negative habits and strongholds, too. I hear people say, “I’m an alcoholic; I just can’t beat it.” No, that’s not who you are, that’s what you do. But if you keep thinking that way and talking that way, it will become so ingrained on the inside that you’ll convince yourself that it’s true, and it will keep you from rising higher.

One time somebody told me, “Joel, I’m a drug dealer.” He was embarrassed by it. He didn’t want to live that way. I told him what I’m telling you, “That’s not who you are. If you’ve accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then who you are is a child of the Most High God. It’s time to start acting like it because you have a destiny to fulfill.”

As a believer, you are the righteousness of God in Christ! You are the head and not the tail! You are an overcomer! Today, embrace who you are in Christ and don’t ever let your performance change your identity.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, thank You for who You are and for who You’ve made me. I declare today that I am the righteousness of God in Christ. Help me to keep my identity in You and glorify You in all that I do in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Loving God, Almighty Father, please empower me today to live for you in glorious and wonderful ways. But Father, I don't just pray that I may do this, please empower those that I love to live for you. (Add the specific names of folks you want God to bless in this way.) May we all know that the power in us tore away the bars of death that held Jesus captive. May we experience this transforming power and use it to your glory. In Jesus' name. Amen.

CONFIDENCE
A lack of confidence will hinder your relationship with God, and often cause you to deny yourself the more abundant life that Jesus came to give you. Develop a strong faith. Developing an intimate relationship with the Father and learning who you are in Christ Jesus will fill you with confidence and assurance. Fill your thoughts and your mouth with His word and enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 10:19). The Lord Himself shall be your confidence, firm and strong, and He shall keep your foot from being caught in a trap of hidden danger (Proverbs 3:26).

PRAYER OF AFFIRMATION
Heavenly Father, you are my light and my salvation. By your grace, I shall not fear man nor become entangled in the ungodly traditions of men. I throw aside every weight and sin that has tried to ensnare me so that I might run the race you have set before me with confidence, efficiency and effectiveness. I seek to be temperate in all things and run this race to receive a crown of eternal blessedness with certainty. Father, in my life be glorified, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Psalm 27:1; Hebrews 12:1; 1 Corinthians 9:24-26

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
