Dear God, It is a new year on this earth. I want to begin the year with praise and thankfulness to You.

I want to recommit myself to You; to do Your good will; to follow Your word and the guidance of Your Holy Spirit.

I want to draw closer to You in word, thought, and deed. I want to have an attitude of gratitude, a smile on my face and in my voice, and energy to do whatever task or ministry You want me to do.

Please continue to provide my every need, as only You can do. Please bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Please give me wisdom, knowledge, desire, and power to go forth and live for You to make a difference in the lives of those around me and to glorify You. Please bless my coming and my going and open my mouth to speak words of truth and love. Thank You, God. In Jesus' name I pray

Day-6 You, Don’t Worry!

“Do not fret—it leads only to evil.” -Psalm 37:8

Today’s Word:

“Worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength: carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.” -Corrie ten Boom

These are the words of Jesus. Let’s ask Him to impart a deeper revelation of this truth, so we can take them to heart at a new level:

“No-one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

“So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. Day-6 God’s Provision

Intro:
God is a loving Shepherd, Who constantly has your well-being on His heart. Whatever you need, God has an abundant supply. Learn to depend on Him. You will see His faithful answers to your prayers. Read over these scriptures and let God’s word paint a fresh picture of His generous heart. You can trust Him with all your needs. Receive the peace that is yours, as you embrace Him as the God of your provision.

Prayer:
God, You are my loving Father. You sacrificed Your only Son so I could be reconciled to You. Your word says that since You gave Your Son, how will You not also, “with Him freely give us all things?” I rejoice in Your faithfulness and ask for You to teach me to depend on You. To bring my needs and burdens, presenting each concern before Your caring heart. Help me to trust in You more Lord.

I want to see Your abundant love be released into the people who live around me. I embrace Your word that says, “The Lord gives grace and glory and no good thing do You withhold from those who walk uprightly.” I receive the truth of Your generous heart. Jesus, make my life a shining example of Your faithfulness.

Father, I just want to thank You for all that You have done in my life, my dh, my children and all of our extended families. We still need Your healing, support, and loving care. Show me what You want me to do with my blog and You know the requests of my heart. I lean upon Your Word and understanding and always want to be in Your will. Praise Your holy, holy name for You are worthy to be praised. You, alone, hold our future in Your hands. I pray You will protect my children and grandchildren and my dh's families.
I love You Father with all of my heart. Be with us when we go to visit my SIL next weekend. She is battling cancer and I know that You can heal her. Thy will be done, in the name of Your Son, Jesus.

Day-6 Giving Him Your All

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy— think about such things.” -Philippians 4:6-8

Today’s Word:
My precious child, I have called you to 100% devotion. To love Me with all your heart, mind, soul and strength even as I love you with 100% devotion. And though you are in the world, yet, I have set you in a new place and you are a citizen of My Kingdom now. While you live in one world but are a citizen of another, you must, ‘take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ’.

For the kingdom of this world is filled with many things that leave a muddy smear; and when you let your mind dwell on these things, a heaviness and dullness creeps in like a sudden fog. And this is why I have told you to, ‘whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.’ Be aware, says the Lord. There is a difference between what defiles and what benefits; and there is a difference between what is acceptable and what is best.

All of these choices I have left to you, and what you reap is always connected to what you have sown. Draw near to Me and I will draw near to you. I will still the stormy seas, and give you peace which transcends all understanding, and will guard your heart and your mind. Dig deeper, let your roots go deeper into My ways; a new strength and fragrance await you.

Day-6 Lamb of God

Intro:
Jesus paid the way for our salvation by becoming the sacrificial Lamb. His blood made provision for forgiveness of sins and reconciliation with the Father. Let these Bible verses give you a fresh vision of your Savior.

Prayer:
Jesus, I recognize You as the Lamb of God and the authority of Your blood sacrifice. No other god and no other philosopher has shed their blood, only You paid the price for our salvation. I thank you that Your blood can cover every sin. I come before You Father in the name of Your beloved Son and I apply His salvation to my friend ___________.

I hold up the wounds of Jesus over my friend’s life as the seal of my Father’s love. I declare the power of Jesus blood to cleanse their conscience and free them to serve ‘the living God.’ I bind the forces of darkness, all the strongholds of addiction, false religion and distractions in the Name of the slain Lamb. Be magnified Lord Jesus. For all blessing, honor, glory and dominion belong to You forever and ever.

John 1:29 “The next day he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!’”

Day-13 Prayer for Protection

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” -Ephesians 6:12

Today’s Word:

St. Patrick’s Prayer of Protection

I arise today, through God’s strength to pilot me:
God’s might to uphold me,
God’s wisdom to guide me,
God’s eye to look before me,
God’s ear to hear me,
God’s word to speak for me,
God’s hand to guard me,
God’s way to lie before me,
God’s shield to protect me,
God’s host to secure me:
Against snares of devils,
Against temptations of vices,
Against inclinations of nature,
Against everyone who shall wish me ill,
Afar and anear, alone and in a crowd.

I summon today all these powers between me (and these evils):
Against every cruel and merciless power that
May oppose my body and my soul,
Against incantations of false prophets,

Day-13 Seeking the Lost

Intro:
God sent His only Son to suffer and die, so mankind could be in right relationship with Him. He is still seeking the lost sheep in the world today. Now that you are saved, Jesus wants to reach the lost through you. Consider God’s heart towards the lost as revealed in these scriptures.

Prayer:
Jesus, share with me Your heart for the lost sheep in this world. I was a lost sheep and I remember how empty I felt and how meaningless everything seemed. Jesus I have known You as Savior and Deliverer but now I want to know You as the Lord of the harvest. I do ask You with all my heart to send out laborers among the lost. I ask that You would fill them with love and power.

Please forgive me for the many opportunities I have missed to speak about You to others. I repent for ignoring the nudge of Your Holy Spirit at times when you wanted me to share. I ask for courage and wisdom. I want to be Your witness in word and deed, seeking wholeheartedly after the lost. Lord bring someone who is seeking across my path today. I want to share with them what You have done for me. According to Your word, “there is salvation in no one else…” Jesus, may Your name be magnified!

Scripture:
2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Luke 10:2 “And He was saying to them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.’”

John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they might have life, and might have [it] abundantly.”

Luke 15:7 “…there will be [more] joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”

Day-13 What Kind of Trial are You In?

“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To Him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.” -1 Peter 5:8-11

Today’s Word:
Precious child remember My word, ‘do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you’. Are you in a painful trial? There are three things to remember during such times. The first thing to remember in hardship is that, ‘God causes all things to work together for good to those who love Him.’ Be assured of this, and do not despair. The second thing to remember is that some hardship is the doorway to share in Christ’s sufferings, and these sufferings will be worked for your benefit. The third thing to remember is that you have an enemy.

Ask Me what the source of your hardship is. And when you are doing well, and making much progress in your Kingdom labors, then you should not be caught unaware when the enemy stands against you. At that very moment, ‘Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you’. Take up My word, and place resistance against the enemy’s efforts. ‘The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full’.

There are times in My Kingdom that require resistance, and I have given you authority for those times. Even as I have said, ‘I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven’. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; use your authority and remember that you belong to Me. You are a child, precious and loved, in your Father’s house.

Father God, I thank You with all of my heart for Your protection over me. You saved my life when I had my stroke, and You continue to watch over my brain, even as it keeps swelling. Thank You, Thank You. I also thank You from protecting me from all the evil in this world, I love You Father. Amen.

Today's Prayer
Dear God, Thank you for your beautiful words of life, your Holy Bible full of wisdom, examples, guidance, instruction, promises, enlightenment, and life-giving knowledge. Thank you that your Word is such an encouragement at times, and a chastisement at other times. It helps me find answers to life questions that arise and gives me peace when I am confused. It teaches me about your power and love and reinforces the importance of following Jesus, my Savior, and of being a living testimony in this world. Please forgive me for not spending as much time in your Word as I should. Give me a thirst for more of it. Instill in me that desire for studying and learning and appreciating your Word. And please, ingrain your Word in my heart and mind that the Holy Spirit might bring passages to my remembrance whenever they are needed. Thank you, so much, for caring enough to provide your Word in print. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Day-17 New Things Are Messy (Part 2)

“See I am doing a new thing, now it springs up do you not perceive it?” -Isaiah 43:19

Today’s Word:

This is part two about new things and how they can be messy. New things are great. They give us something to look forward to, they break us out of ruts, and they are exciting. They carry the promise of “I get to do things and, I want to do things,” rather than the monotony of duty-bound things that we can get into. The one thing that people don’t tell you about a new thing is that its something that’s never been done before. Even though it’s exciting, it also means that it doesn’t look like anything else, and it’s not predictable. You can’t follow another pattern because it’s a new thing, and you’re in “pioneer mode.”

Here’s a few tips for you if you’re in that place right now, wondering why it’s such a mess:

1. Don’t expect a new thing to look like anything else.
2. Don’t try to pattern a new thing after an old thing.
3. Trust the Lord and just take the steps He tells you to.
4. Thank the Lord for His faithfulness even before everything is worked out.
5. Sign up for “enduring and persevering,” because faithful is He who has called you and He will bring it to pass. Amen.

Scripture:

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 1:6

“May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” -1 Thessalonians 5:23-24

Day-21 Ask, Seek, Knock…Get Serious!!!

“Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be open to you.” –Matthew 7:7

Today’s Word:

The word today is: Ask, seek, and knock!

Ask is what you and I do with our mouth. The Bible tells us again and again to make your voice heard before God. In the Greek, the word “ask” means; “to desire, to beg, require, crave, call for it.” In the book of James it says, “The heartfelt prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much.” (James 5:16)

Seek is what we do with our eyes. It’s keeping alert, it’s being aware because we’ve prayed. We are ready for the answer, and we’re looking for it. The same way if we get a message that the UPS truck is bringing us a package. We are looking for the truck, we are listening, we are paying attention to the door, the doorbell, the knock. Seek with your eyes.

Knock is what we do with our hands. It’s being ready to do whatever the Lord says. We’re going to jump in and we’re going get involved. We’re going to apply some effort and energy. When the wine ran out at the wedding feast, and the servants went to Jesus’ mother and explained the dilemma to her, she said in John 2:5, “Whatever He says to you, do it!”

The promise is clear, the pattern is simple. The word of the Lord to you and I today is; “Just go for it! Jump in! Do it! And you will see it fulfilled. The door will be opened to you.”

Scripture:

“For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” -Luke 11:10-14

Day-3 You, Lift Up Your Voice

“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.” -Psalm 34:18-19

Today’s Word:

God’s ear is open to the cry of the righteous. He leans forward to listen. He knows when you sit down and when you stand up, and how many times you do that every single day. Nothing escapes His notice; though many are the afflictions of the righteous, the Lord delivers them out of them all.

OPEN YOUR MOUTH, lift up your voice to God. The enemy will try to oppress you through discouragement and disappointment. He will try to silence your voice. Open your mouth to God - speak! Speak to the One who loves you most and pour your heart out to Him. When everything else fades away, only God is your refuge, your rock, your strength, and your very present help in times of trouble. He cares, He sees, and He can work all things together for good. Don’t let the enemy silence your voice to God…turn your face towards your Savior and begin right now!

Scripture:

“The word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.” -Deuteronomy 30:16

“Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” -Psalm 62:8

“Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.” -Isaiah 12:6

Today’s Word:

Is There Incense at the Altar?

Is there incense at the altar,
Where the blood of Christ was shed?
The fragrance of thanksgiving,
For the thorns that crowned His head.
Worship and devotion for the
Scars of Calvary,
Tear stained intercession,
For the harvest yet to be.

Is there incense at the altar,
Where the perfect Lamb was slain?
The perfume of petition,
Offered in His Holy name.
A bearing of His burden,
To proclaim His sacrifice-
Supreme and all sufficient
For He paid the sacred price.

Is there incense at the altar,
Where Christ intercedes right now?
Grief, and praise, and pleading,
For the souls that knit His brow.
A heart-felt holy effort,
