SALVATION of FAMILIES

Even though the Prayer & Fasting time is over,
we must continue to pray for
SALVATION
Fasting banner 2011
Please join and read about this at S.U.M.  It is only for the first week of January 2012, whereas there are others Fasting 21 days... etc. The link tells you the specific information and then each day has a plan emphasis. I'd love to share all of what they have shared, but it's best if you go there and catch and read. Hopefully, JOIN!

Lynn shares a beautiful quote from J. Franklin that I love then she writes:
"I want a fresh start in 2012. Do you?
Our fast will begin on sunrise of January 2nd and last through sunset of January 6th. That's this Monday. There are many ways to fast but if you are medically able, fast from food in some way. I am preparing to fast on a liquid fast for three days and then finish the week out with a Daniel fast. This is what I hear the Lord asking of me. What is He asking of you.
Do you want a breakthrough? Do you want to be rid of a habitual sin or a bad habit? More importantly, do you want to hear from the Lord what He wants for your life? What is His will in your marriage? I know I do."
The the plan follows starting at sunrise of Jan. 2nd to sunset Jan. 6th or longer if you are able or have more loved ones to pray for and focus on:
Monday, "Pray for your spouse. Every aspect, his/her health, job, parenting, hobbies, his soul, heart, and emotional state. Pray to understand him better. Ask God to show you where you can be a better spouse and to give you the courage to take action in whatever area He reveals. Pray, pray, pray."
Great suggestion:
"Light a candle.
Each time you see the flame along with your hunger pangs; both will remind you to shoot up prayers."
Tuesday, "pray for your oldest child. All day. In the same manner. On days-three, four, and five pray for each subsequent child. If you have more than three kids double up days or extend your fast. If you don't have three kids, then pray for another significant relationship in your life."
If you'd like to leave your prayers here you are more than welcome... or else, follow along over at S.U.M.
Day 1: Rosheeda Lee shares a beautiful, strong prayer with this scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6
Day 2: Deuteronomy 6:5
Day 3: 1 John 5:5-8
Day 4: Psalm 119:25
Day 5: Song of Solomon 7:11
Day 6
How is God leading you to pray and/or fast, starting 2012 with Him, seeking His face, not just His hand of mercy, love and grace but SALVATION for those who have not yet come to the saving grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ...

May 2012 be the year that Prodigals return, Unsaved are saved, Hardened are softened, Enslaved are set free, Deceived are enlightened by the Truth, Lost are Found, and ALL are REDEEMED by Jesus Christ now and for all eternity.
To God be the Glory!

Let's continue to pray for
SALVATION
throughout
2012!

Father, there is something so special about being able to trust You. As I begin my time of fasting and seeking, I ask Lord that you would purify me; forgive me for my sins and failures and give me the grace to move into this week with the right heart and right spirit. Teach me this week what it is to submit to You, to follow You. As You lay prayers and praises on my tongue, make my spirit sensitive to your leadership and willing to yield to Your direction no matter the costs.

Lord, I pray that I would trust You with all my heart and that I would lean not to my own understanding, but that in all my ways I would submit myself to you so that You can make my paths straight. Make me a willing servant this week and an obedient vessel throughout the year. In Jesus Name. Amen.

I'm so excited! This is such a powerful time. I cannot wait to see what God does. Please share during the week! It's always an encouragement seeing God speak and reveal Himself with others on the journey with you. Love ya'll a lot!

Father, I need a breakthrough this year in my family!

Rescue each one in the Name of Jesus! Restore those who have strayed. Bring the others to their knees in honoring You as Lord and confessing Jesus Christ as the Only Way, the truth and the Light...

You hear my daily intercessions crying out to You to have mercy and bring forgiveness or healing. To break stronghold and deliver. To set the captives free. I ask that You be Lord and King over each one's life in 2012 and for all eternity...

I am weary Lord but that's just what the enemy wants...
I will not give up... I will press on and pray until everyone and every prodigal surrenders and runs to You.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
