CONFIDENCE

"A lack of confidence will hinder your relationship with God, and often cause you to deny yourself the more abundant life that Jesus came to give you.

Develop a strong faith. Developing an intimate relationship with the Father and learning who you are in Christ Jesus will fill you with confidence and assurance.

Fill your thoughts and your mouth with His word and enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 10:19). The Lord Himself shall be your confidence, firm and strong, and He shall keep your foot from being caught in a trap of hidden danger (Proverbs 3:26)." from Germaine Copeland, Daily Prayer (shared here daily)

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
I'm hoping to start to organize these "Daily Prayers" by theme because often I would like to be able to come and find a prayer on a specific topic. I'll be adding to them as more prayers are shared. If you are seeking any in a particular area, mention that in the "Prayers Lifted to the Throne of God" (comment area) as you leave your prayer.

Prayer(s) for Confidence

PRAYER OF AFFIRMATION
Heavenly Father, You are my light and my salvation. By Your grace, I shall not fear man nor become entangled in the ungodly traditions of men. I throw aside every weight and sin that has tried to ensnare me so that I might run the race You have set before me with confidence, efficiency and effectiveness. I seek to be temperate in all things and run this race to receive a crown of eternal blessedness with certainty. Father, in my life be glorified, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive grace and peace which You have multiplied to me in the knowledge of God and of Jesus my Lord. Your divine power has given to me all things that pertain to life and godliness. Your grace gives me the ability to fulfill my destiny – walking in paths You have ordained for me. Your peace directs me and acts as umpire in all my decisions as I walk with confidence and assurance. I thank You for giving me the knowledge of Jesus Christ who called me by glory and virtue, and for giving to me exceedingly great and precious promises that through these I may be a partaker of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. I live and move and have my being in Jesus Christ my Lord! Amen.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I humble myself and submit to Your Word that speaks…exposes, sifts, analyzes, and judges the very thoughts and purposes of my heart. I test my own actions, so that I might have appropriate self-esteem, without comparing myself to anyone else. The security of Your guidance will allow me to carry my own load with energy and confidence. Amen.

Letting Go from Nov. 30, 2011

Father, I glory in what Christ Jesus has done for me. I let go—put aside all past sources of my confidence—counting them worthless, in order that I may experience Christ and become one with Him. I unfold my past and put into proper perspective those things that are behind. I trust in You, LORD, with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding. In all my ways I acknowledge You, and You will make my paths straight. Thank You, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Father, I come before Your Throne, and put You in remembrance of my family – parents, spouse, children and grandchildren. I pray that we will walk as Jesus walked. We clothe ourselves with humility, knowing that you give grace to the humble. I pray that we will walk in self-confidence because Jesus is our Lord. It is my prayer that we will live for the glory of God in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Father God, I come before You, seeking confidence for not only myself, but other Christians. May we always find our confidence in You, and because of You. May we always confidently share You with others. Thank You. Amen.

Father God,

My confidence is in You! I come boldly to Your Throne of Grace because of Jesus on behalf of all the prayer requests written and unwritten here.

I confidently seek Your blessings of a great outpouring of grace and healing on my dear sisters Alice and Denise.
I confidently stand with Cathy, for her precious loved one and with my other sisters for themselves and their loved ones. Fill them with Your Presence, Your Strength, Your Peace in all their decisions, Your Holy Spirit guiding and directly their steps.

I do not come in my own confidence, but submit my heartfelt prayers daily
in the precious, beloved name of Our dear Lord Jesus Christ. In my own merit, I do not deserve You hearing me, but because of Jesus, I am able and more than a conqueror as are my sisters in Christ. Thank You, Lord!
Praise Your Holy name... I love You so much! Wash me in Your love, Your mercy, and this confidence to seek You and Your will in every step of my day.
Bless Your Holy name... Jesus!

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
