National Day of Prayer – May 3rd
The mission of the National Day of Prayer is to mobilize prayer in America and to encourage personal repentance and righteousness in the culture.
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.

We so need to PRAY as a NATION for OUR NATION, for our leadership, for our appointed and soon to be elected officials and the current ones as well as so many current situations in our country. We need to humble ourselves before the Lord, from the top of our nation to each individual believer, we need to rise up and be responsible to praying for God's authority over our authorities and laws.
Psalm 33:12

2012 PRAYER FOR OUR NATION by Dr. David Jeremiah (download available) from National Day of Prayer 61st Annual Observance
Heavenly Father,
Every good gift and perfect gift comes from You. You are a faithful God and Your mercy endures forever.
You have promised to bless the nation that trusts in You. Our currency proclaims “In God We Trust,” but in our culture we are far from You.
In the words of the prophet Daniel, “We have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.”
We come before You once more, seeking Your forgiveness and mercy. You, O God, are our only hope… Hear our prayer and, for Your honor’s sake, shine Your face upon this nation.
Give our leaders the desire to seek Your wisdom and the courage to follow Your guidance… and watch over the men and women of our armed forces as they sacrifice for the cause of freedom.
We give You thanks for all You have done for us, and we earnestly pray that You will help us become, once again, a nation whose God is the Lord.
In the name of Your Son, and our Savior, we pray this prayer.

Some of the PRAYERS on the PRAYER WALL today May 3rd:
"Our Heavenly Father, I come to you with open arms and pray for our nation that it will come back to you. I pray for all those that are in leadership and for our president that they also know how great You are! I pray for all the ost souls that they will come to know You. I pray for our military and their families and all the souls that have been lost in the war. I pray for peace in our world and among all people. I thank You so much, Father, for all the blessings You have given us. But the best blessing of all is our salvation and everlasting life with You. I thank You so much for this day of prayer and that we can continue to pray daily not just today. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! In Your most precious and holy Name, Amen."
"Father God, if your people who are called by your name will humble themselves and pray, you will hear and heal their land. We unite in prayer today, for our leaders at every level, our military and our nation. Father, bring revival in this land. Let each leader and individual take personal responsiblity for their lives and come to you in humility, embracing the cross of Christ. Let each one then influence the lives around them with the truth and love of Christ like concentric circles going out from their daily lives. Let our leaders be infused with your wisdom and put it into practice. Let them lead as servants of the most high God. Through Christ, Amen."
"Dear Father in Heaven, You helped establish this country and I pray you restore unto us that which time has eroded and done away with. I pray for the many families who have loved ones in the military service, who protect us and the whole world. I pray for those in leadership to turn to YOU O God, Master of the Universe, and to Jesus, our Savior, Who gave His life for us, so we can walk in faith and Hope and love. We pray without ceasing and pray Your benevolence towards your people will never fail. We shall overcome, in Jesus Name, Amen."
My Abba Father, Blessed be Your name through all the earth. Blessed be this new and particular day which the people of this nation call ‘The National Day of Prayer’. As I come before You, I ask that You forgive my sins and provide my daily needs. You promised and I trust that You will; for this my heart is thankful and glad. Lord, I am glad to have spiritual roots in Israel and pray for Your blessing and protection and peace upon her; preserving and restoring Israel for every nation to see that You are God of all. Hear my prayers.
O God and Father in heaven, I am at your feet and lift up holy hands; these are Your words that I offer up in prayer for ALL the people and all those in authority over of this nation: “Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering.” “Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first [first love]; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place, unless you repent.” O children of God, return and restore yourselves to Him and pray, pray, pray; He will hear, forgive our sins, and heal our hearts and land. It is all about You, Lord. Thou art the holiest and most majestic above all things and beings, to which we humble and submit ourselves; we, a righteous people, will rest in the shelter of Your wings under Your banner of love.
All gory and honor be to You God, El Shaddai. I pray, praise and worship in the name of Your only begotten Son, Yeshua. Amen and Amen
Almighty and loving God, we are truly grateful for Your love and for Your great mercies upon America. We have, in great measure, turned away from You and Your lovingkindness. Forgive us, O Lord, we pray.. begging. We can only ask for your mercy upon our nation and her people, and that You would do whatever it takes to bring us back to where we are truly a nation under God.. the one true God.. a city on a hill. We ascribe to You, O God, all glory and honor and praise and power forever. We offer up this prayer in keeping with all that is the person, character, and Name of Jesus the Christ. Amen.. let it be so!
My Lord, who are we that do not rely on You for ALL our blessings? We are but lost, relying on leaders who are out of touch with Your wishes and Your guidanace. Help us, I pray, to keep the faith, to uphold You in All our endeavors, to pray for those who lead us (even wrongly), and to be quick to forgive us as a nation that we will turn back to you as the very basis of ALL our beliefs. YOU are the ROCK who sustains ALL believers. Show us thy will and we pray for the strength to carry out YOUR wishes, to stand strong as a nation and to be a true brother to our friends in Israel. Help me to not let You down but to praise You in ALL things and ALL ways. Precious Savior help me not to faint.
Heavenly Father,
I come before You on this beautiful day You have made, our National Day of Prayer. I praise You for You are wonderful, mighty and too awesome for words to describe. You are our God Who knows our hearts. You don't look at the outward appearance, but at our hearts! Please forgive us as a nation whose hearts have turned away from You and sought out other gods of our own making. Our hearts and their loves are laid bare before Your keen observation and we are so lacking in the love we are suppose to have for You, our Creator. Please forgive us! Help us to set the eyes of our hearts rightly upon You! Please give us the desire of our hearts to be You above all else. A great healing could take place in our nation if that could be the transaction to result based on the many prayers You receive today. I pray for all the people of our nation that not one would be left out from the transforming power of the blood of Jesus spilled on their behalf. Thank You, Father God, for the variety of maneuvers You make to reach people for their own good. Infinite paths lead away from You but there is one right path to You and that is Jesus. He is the solid rock path that does not give way under the weight of many burdens. He absorbs that weight and makes our loads feel light. Thank You, Father God, for Your excellent plan of salvation. Please, Lord, hear again our prayers on another National Day of Prayer for the salvation of the souls of our nation to include the soul of our President and other leaders in Washington to all people near and far away who qualify to pledge allegiance to our nation's flag. You are our only hope. I pray in the name of my Savior and Lord, Jesus, Amen (Janice, Prayer Wall)
Father, We humbly bow before your Throne of Grace. We thank you God the Father for your beloved Son "Jesus". Jesus this nation needs you. Let the nations be awakened. Let the earth hear the voice of the Lord. Send forth Your Spirit of Truth to bear witness of You, and to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. Father cause Your people to rise up. We pray that you will open to your ambassadors a door for the Word, to speak the mystery of Christ. Hear your children prayers today Father. You have promised us in 2 Chronicles 7:14, If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Our land is in need of healing. You left us a promise that we know you shall deliver. We are seeking you today Father God. Forgive us Father, Return us back to you! We pray for peace in this world. We need the Father of Peace. Send fort your salvation to the ends of the earth. You are more than enough. Help nothing to separate us from the Love of God. Help us to be faithful. Help us to be praying warriors that will stand and be watchful and prayerful until the end. We declare VICTORY in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen!
(Gail Caesar, Prayer Wall)
"This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him, while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not live according to the truth; but if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his son, cleanses us from all sin." I John 1: 5-8
Thank you Father for this beautiful sunny morning. Your word is given to us to help us to walk in perfect harmony with you. We cannot profess what we do not possess. Our actions betray our words! We must be willing to lay aside the things that break our focus, and lead us to sinning. It is a choice, and there is a consequence for every behavior, good or bad. Today we can live for you, shedding your light where ever we go, or we can live for self. How we are perceived is how others see us. How will they judge our character. Which will it be?
Will you be with President Obama, our Government Leaders, and our Men and Women in the Military today? There is still so much controversy and division and we need to pray for unity, for guidance, and direction from you. It takes on a few minutes each day to pray them. Are we too busy?
I pray for my family and those I love that they will make a decision to follow you with their whole heart. They must not think they can have a foot in both worlds. They will be divided and destroyed. You see our heart, and our actions will show who we really are.
I ask these things in your name, Lord Jesus. Amen.
(Prayer Wall)
Dear Heavenly Father, I lift up our nation to You on this national day of prayer. Please watch over us, and give us Your blessings of protection. Lead us back to You, where we all should seek to be. I ask that You be close to president obama, and his family. Keep them safe, and give him wisdom to make the right choices for our country. Thank You Father. Amen.
