BETH MOORE PRAYING LIVESTREAM ~ A WORD in the STORM

Watch live streaming video from livingproofministries at livestream.com

In case you missed this like I did, I wanted us to unite and pray as we learn. Yes, to pray for all in the path of the current STORM but also for anyone of us who are facing a storm in our lives, LET US PRAY!

Storm References in the Bible:

Psalm 46

Matthew 8
Storms are opportunities for Jesus Christ to speak! LET US PRAY!

Psalm 57

"PRAISE YOU IN THE STORM" by Casting Crown

I was sure by now
God You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

[Chorus:]
And I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
And every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to you
And you raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You

But as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

[Chorus]

I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth

1 Have mercy on us, O God, have mercy on us,
for in You we take refuge.

I will take refuge in the shadow of Your wings until the disaster has passed.

2 I cry out to You, God Most High,
God vindicates me(us).
3 You send from heaven and save me(us),rebuking those who hotly pursue me(us)— God, send forth Your love and Your faithfulness.

4 I am (we are)in the midst of lions; I am (we are) forced to dwell among ravenous beasts—
men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;let Your glory be over all the earth.
6 They spread a net for my (our)feet—
I was (We were)bowed down in distress.
They dug a pit in my (our) path—
but they have fallen into it themselves.
7 My (Our)heart, O God, is steadfast, my (our) heart is steadfast;
I will sing and make music.
8Awake, my soul!
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
9 I will praise You, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of You among the peoples.
10 For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let Your glory be over all the earth.

Hebrews 6:
May Our souls be anchored with Jesus!!!

O Lord, I lift up all those affected by the current natural storms like Sandy and now an earthquake in Japan again! I thank You for the rescue workers but that we can trust in You to rescue us and save us! Thank You for Your Protection over me and some of my personal belongings in the fire back in MN (I can't even say back "home" anymore)! Thank You that my treasures are not those material ones but it still hurts! Thank You for my dear sisters that have come along side me in this storm and held an umbrella over me. Help me keep my eyes fixed on You and eternity! Help Sam and those helping him gathering and sift through the ashes for stuff worth keeping! Help him to understand and get beyond the shock and anger. Use this devastating fire to reach Sam in Jesus' name!!!

Amen! You are my Refuge! You are My Strength! You are the light at the end of a dark tunnel! You are My Anchor! You shine Your Light and carry me when I am weak and guide me when I may be going off course! Lead me closer to the eternal treasures and not these earthly ones any longer! I long for You! But keep me from despair and depression!Without seeing, I will believe! Cover all of those in the east coast that are still in the midst of such insurmountable loss. Comfort all who lost loved ones and so very much that cannot be re compensated no matter what insurance tries to do. Our security is in You! Help us remember when the ache surges up and the pain starts to ache that You are with us and You care!

Dear Father in Heaven, You know how hard it is to see your children and families hurting when they do not communicate with You and one another, when they are self-centered, out of Your will, and following the wrong paths. Maybe they get too busy to nourish the really important relationships in their lives. I pray right now for my own family, for all of the families around the world, for husbands and wives who have grown apart or are on the verge of divorce, for children who are rebellious and angry, for parents who are too busy and irritated, for those who are bitter or hurt. God please reach down and tug on their hearts, speak to their minds, and show them the way. I pray that the root of their problems will be exposed and that through the Holy Spirit, through Your Word, through a caring friend or a concerned Christian, or whatever way You know is best, that You will turn around those lives that are headed the wrong direction and put them back together. I pray that these families will become healthy, happy, God-honoring, communicating and loving families. And God, for the families that are doing well, I pray that You would protect them from the evil one; surround them with guardian angels; and keep that family under Your wings of love and guidance. Thank You, in Jesus' name, amen.

Dear God, Thank You for sending special people into our lives. I can think of a very few who have meant so much to me and been such an encouragement and inspiration. I appreciate them so much...and miss the ones who have left this earth to be with You in eternity. Thank You, God, for the Holy Spirit, the Great Comforter who fills my heart, lifts my spirit, satisfies my soul, and brings Your presence into my life. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
