LET THE LION RUN FREE!

4 HIM (this is a little lively) YouTube by LifeTodayDotOrg

More from Ann Spangler's Devotional "Praying the Names of God":
"Who could have imagined God on a cross, who is a King and Servant, a Lion and a Lamb, a God whose justice is trumped by his mercy?

Aren't you glad that God's ways are not your ways and that His thoughts are as far above yours as the heavens are above the earth? Today, as you meditate on the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, let Him expand your notion of who He is and how He thinks about you. Begin by thanking Him for calling you out of the anguish and exile of sin into His loving and merciful protection."

In your PRAYER of PRAISE: Recall his great power. Psalm 106:8 Remember that the Lord is a Lion who does battle for his people. Isaiah 31:4 - 5

Dear heavenly Father, You are the great I am. You are my King Of Kings, and Lord of Lords. You are my healer, and my great physician. You are above all kingdoms. I praise You with all I am. I love You.

My Precious Heavenly Father,

Here I am to worship you this day. Here I am to declare that you are my God and lift up your name. I praise you above all on the earth and above every being in the heavens. You are the Almighty, all-powerful and all-knowing God that I come to. You hold me in your hand and watch over me. Thank you for shielding me and loving me. Thank you for your tender mercies and your firm chastisement, oh One who loves more than any other loves. Thank you for reminding me of who you are and who I am. Without you, I am nothing. With you, I am forgiven, blessed, and victorious. Through the blood of Jesus, I am made righteous. I cannot thank you enough for saving my soul and carrying me through this life. In Jesus' name I bow before you...

(what a powerful song of truth)

Dear Father today fill your children with the Holy Spirit. With the mind of Christ that you have given us help us realize the Lion that lives within us. Let us walk today in a way that would allow this world to see your power, your might and your glory. May they know that today all power in heaven and on earth are in your hands.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
