30 of 90 Days of Global Prayer - PASS IT ON!

The Lighthouse of Prayer was intended for YOU!!! Personal prayers & requests! So far Denise, brings most of those here and I'm thankful for that but many bloggers are not interacting here as we had hoped. It is because of that I bring today my email of GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYERS! If you may not want to pray for one another perhaps praying for the world will seem less intimidating. Here is a guide for the next 30 days. Since my internet provider & service is so undependable, I just copied my email here and PRAY that you will join in PRAYER as able!

God is calling His people to PRAYER! I am seeing & hearing it everywhere. Open your ears and let them hear! Open your eyes and let them see! Open your mouths and declare the Glory of the Lord over your home, loved ones & friends. The time is now! We cannot wait. We must unite in PRAYER and do so soon. Please begin to PRAY and start each day with a prayer to the Lord God Almighty!!! Pentecost  was just the beginning and actually 10 days before, we shared prayers also.

90-DAY PRAYER GUIDE (30 Days x3)

PRAY AT SIGNIFICANT AND NEGLECTED PLACES

DAY 1
Pray the Blessing: Gen 1:9-12
And God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so. God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good. And God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth." And it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Declare your faith: I believe and confess that the Triune God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – is the Creator of Heaven and Earth, and of all created things. I believe that He is upholding all things with the power of his hand (Acts 17:24; Heb 1:3)

Pray on foot: Pray at the dirtiest place in your community or city, e.g. the garbage dump and demonstrate your care for creation by picking up the garbage in your own street.

DAY 2
Pray the Blessing: Gen 1:27-28 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

Declare your faith: I believe and confess that God made mankind in His image and His likeness to have dominion over all the earth (Gen 1:26)

Pray on foot: Pray at the new-natal ward at your local hospital for the new-born babies.

DAY 3
Pray the Blessing: Luke 7:22-23 And he [Jesus] answered them, "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have good news preached to them. And blessed is the one who is not offended by me."

Declare your faith: I believe and confess that Jesus Christ shows no partiality to anyone and that he regards all people as equal before him, irrespective of race, status or caste (James 2:1-8).

Pray on foot: Pray for the outcasts in your community, e.g. at the squatter camps, for the untouchables, for those in an asylum, and demonstrate the love of God practically to them.

DAY 4
Pray the Blessing: Isaiah 53:2-5 For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.

Declare your faith: I believe and confess that Jesus Christ heals the sick today through the power of the Holy Spirit (Matt 10:8; James 5:14).

Pray on foot: Visit a hospital and pray for those who are sick with the faith that God can heal them.

DAY 5
Pray the Blessing: Deut 28:1-6 "And if you faithfully obey the voice of the LORD your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the LORD your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

Declare your faith: I believe and confess that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus Christ and that there will be no end to His Government (Matt 28:18; Isaiah 9:7).

Pray on foot: Pray at the highest authority in your city or nation, e.g. Parliament, Palace, High Court or Presidential office.

DAY 6
Pray the Blessing: John 16:24-33 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. "I have said these things to you in figures of speech. The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech but will tell you plainly about the Father. In that day you will ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father." His disciples said, "Ah, now you are speaking plainly and not using figurative speech! Now we know that you know all things and do not need anyone to question you; this is why we believe that you came from God." Jesus answered them, "Do you now believe? Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."

Declare your faith: I believe and confess that Jesus Christ is the light of the world, and that the light will overcome the darkness (John 1:4-5).

Pray on foot: Pray outside pagan temples, sites dedicated to other gods, mosques or ancient sites of pagan worship.

DAY 7
Pray the Blessing: Mark 9:36-37 And he took a child and put him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them, "Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me."

Declare your faith: I believe and confess that God loves children and wants to bless them (Matt 19:13).

Pray on foot: Visit an orphanage, children’s home or street children and share the love of God with the children by playing with them or helping with their needs or even taking a child home for the weekend.

I have broken these 30 prayers down now into weekly prayers that will post each week.

Prayer Request from my friend Stacy: Dear Friends,

I received word earlier this week that my dad is now receiving hospice care and my heart is breaking. He has "called wolf" many times regarding illnesses but this time, it seems to be legitimate (though it is difficult to tell, he is a master at scheming manipulations). I still have not any contact with my dad; going on 5+ years. The only thing that seems to have changed is his physical health status, so personal contact remains an unwise and unsafe option.

Please pray for his salvation above all. Please pray for his comfort and healing, if God wills.
Please pray for me and my siblings as we face this undesirable situation. My 2 sisters and I no longer have a relationship with our dad. My brother lives in the same town and is carrying the brunt of whatever responsibilities this entails.
Please pray for the skill of those responsible for his care.
Please pray for whatever details/issues I may not have thought of because of feeling a bit overwhelmed.
THANK YOU dear ones. I very much appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Special Prayer Request

Dear Denise:

I have a special prayer request and I am asking for your prayers..(as always):
Jim's brother and his wife are in the middle of adopting a 5 year old girl. The circumstances are very sad and tragic. Eugene and Lisa are Jim's brother and sister in law. Eugene knows the mother of this little girl and has known her and her family for a long time. She is a 31 year old single parent with brain and bone cancer and is in the latter stages of this. The father of the child was killed in an accident...and no one in her family wants to inconvenience of having a small child to raise. Eugene and Lisa have tried for years to have children of their own and can not. (though Eugene has two sons).
Lisa and I talked over the weekend. (Lisa is a Christian) and of course, they have many concerns.
Please pray for the mom, Kat, and her little girl, Jo-Hanna. Salvation is her main concern...she has tried to approach the subject with Kat...but still does not know, and wants to witness to her. Kat basically has no one to look after her....other than hospice who will be called in soon. There are other issues...but I am requesting for your prayers over this entire sensitive situation. **PS... Jo-Hanna has no idea about her Mommy ...once Kat is bad enough...Lisa and Eugene will step and take the little girl. The paperwork is being prepared now for final adoption. The one thing Kat is a nanny and housekeeper to a family in the DC area. They have been very good to her and generous as well..that is the one thing she has to turn to.

Denise, if you want to add this to any prayer circles you have...please do....

I thank you so very much,
Love you bunches,

Sonya

Dear heavenly Father, I lift up Josh to You this morning. He is a precious 7 year old little boy, who is suffering with stomach cancer. The chemo makes him very sick, and they have to put him on a ventilater. If it be Your will Father, heal him of this terrible disease. Please take his pain away, and comfort him. Hold him close, and comfort him Father. Thank You, I love You Father. Amen

Dear Friends

“Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel’s hand.” Rev. 8:3-4

We stand in awe before the magnitude of GDOP 2009. During the 10 Days leading up to the Global Day of Prayer, on the Global Day of Prayer and even now during the 90 Days of Blessing, hundreds of millions of prayers from every country in the world is reaching the throne room of God. God’s promise is that He will answer the prayers of those who cry out to Him day and night (Luke 18:1-7) and that those prayers birthed from a humble and broken spirit will lead to Him forgiving our sins and healing our land (2 Chron. 7:14).

Almost 2 weeks after the Global Day of Prayer 2009 reports are coming in from all over the world about the remarkable time spent with God.

The sun shone, the wind blew, it rained and stormed but nothing distracted believers (young and old) who had gathered in small groups, large stadiums, churches, cathedrals, open parks, town squares to pray that “Jesus would be honored openly, worshipped extravagantly and glorified globally”.

News of denominations coming together for the first time, the awesome presence of the Lord, salvation and healings is coming in daily.
All country reports will be posted at this link http://www.globaldayofprayer.com/reportMain.php during the next few days.

Let us continue to seek His face and let us join hands in our communities and nations to become the answers to our prayers as we add action to the cries of our hearts. The 90 Days of Blessing follows the Global Day of Prayer as an opportunity for Christians to not only continue in persistent prayer, but to actually become the answers to their prayers. You can find the Prayer Guide for the 90 Days of Blessing as well as many other prayer topics on the following links http://www.globaldayofprayer.com/90days.php and http://www.globaldayofprayer.com/pray_nations.php.

Please pray for us as we come together next week to pray, plan and strategize for 2010 and beyond. We all sense that the Lord is calling the nations to a deeper level of prayer and we need His guidance on how to go from here.

Many Blessings

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
