THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD

originally posted back in July & then again on August 7th & now I'm reposting it
for more prayers to the Throne

THERE ARE MANY BATTLES
to be fought
and "prayers lifted to the Throne"
(please see comments)
to stand firm with us on behalf of loved ones

The Armor of God 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
19Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
**********************************
[Of course, I "goggled" for a Study on Ephesians, so I thought I'd include at least the most inclusive one here, but I found there are many available here.]
This is from PREACH THE WORD Bible Study Series
The verses above start in Pt. 28 Scroll down by using the arrows on right of the box.
Let's pray and do spiritual warfare for one another.
Put on the whole armor of God & fight in Jesus' Name!
"Adoration (WORSHIP) is...
surrendering your life to God
so that He can be All-Powerful in your life
and show His power through
YOU"
From Stormie Omartian's book,
"The Prayer That Changes Everything"

"Prayer is exhaling the spirit of man and inhaling the spirit of God."

My Father God,

I come to You today to talk with You about my work situation.

You know how this has overwhelmed me--left me feeling emotionally spent so that I have no energy left for anything else.

I have prayed and prayed about this, but I didn't surrender the control of this situation to You.

Yesterday, finally yesterday, I came to this point. Forgive me for taking so long to hand the reins over to You--You are so powerful, so wise, already knowing what I am going through--You are in control of this--not me.

I come to You this morning for encouragement and to ask for Your blessings upon this day and upon my workplace. Pour down Your blessings like rain on all of us there!! Let us see Your hand in each and every move we make, every word we speak.

Carry us through, Lord, carry us through for we cannot do this without You by our sides guiding and directing us.

I will put on your armor today and I will stand firm. I will not move or flee or flinch, but stand firm in Your Word, fully clothed with Your armor.

Whatever this day brings, I know with full faith that you will guide me through.

Show me Your moments throughout my day--perhaps a small touch upon my shoulder, a word from a coworker--things that I have missed because I was so distracted and overwhelmed.

Take these feelings from me and replace them with Your peace and Your knowledge that everything is possible with You by our sides.

Use my place of work, Lord, use me to guide others to you. I haven't been much of a shining light for You lately. I've been just a tiny flicker--almost feeling extinguished sometimes.

Give me the strength and fortitude to be Your shining light once again.

I was so weary, and I needed rest--not sleep, but rest in You.

Thank you for being patient with me.

I love You, God, and I thank You for sending Your Son to us so that we may live in Jesus, for Jesus and by Jesus and have hope in my heart, joy in my life and peace in my mind.

In Your Son's Precious Name,

Amen

Yes, LORD...the battle belongs to You!

I surrender! Whatever You see in me,change and make me more like You! Change me, LORD!

Forgive me for anytime that I have tried to "do it on my own" for I know that I must listen & obey!

Forgive me for not allowing Your Holy Spirit to convict those that
I lift in prayer to you daily. Remove me from being an obstacle & reach these hardened hearts that are running from You! Draw them to You! Place others around them that will encourage them to seek You!

It is not by might, nor by power but through Your Spirit!

I give to You all honor & praise & in Your authority, I stand! I love You so completely & trust in You & Your Word to bring all to completion in Jesus' Name!

I give You thanks for hearts that are open! I give You thanks for all You have done & are doing! Hear us LORD! Thank You for my sisters in the LORD here that share their heart & prayer right here! Hear the cries of their heart and then hear our rejoicing in You!

With grateful hearts, steadfast on
You...we see & believe for great things You are doing in our midst!
We adore You & ask You to guard us & protect us, covering us daily in Your full armor as we confront the
"things" of this world, hoping for Your eternal Glory & thank You for each Victory & the greatest one You won for each of us at Calvary!

Eternally thankful & with love!
I remain Yours...Peggy

I would appreciate prayers for a very dear friend, Lorraine T. She is in the hospital in a coma. She's already had 2 brain surgeries this week past week to alleviate the problem, but it keeps coming back. Air is accumulating on the top of her brain and spinal fluid is leaking from her NOSE and filling in around the brain. The doctors have consulted with others across the US and none of them have ever seen or heard of anything like this. It's in no textbooks, so they are just trying to figure it out as they go.

Lorraine is 75 years old. She and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are some of my dearest friends here on the Cherokee reservation where we minister. As of this morning, the situation is extremely grave and they will be talking about end of life issues with the family sometime today.

The family is in denial right now and are asking the Lord for a miracle for her to somehow survive this. I'll be with them for a couple of hours today, so please pray for wisdom in comforting my friends and possibly be saying good bye to one of my kindred spirits.

Lorraine knows the Lord and has been a widow for about 14 or 15 years.

Thank you for praying for my family. I received a call from my daughter inviting me to visit and to be there when the baby is born. She said she loves me. This is all a miracle.

My dear, precious praying friends, I look to all of you as well for your continued abundant prayers for my husband...and myself at this time in our lives. Grace is still being bestowed upon us, it is, I feel it, but I feel in my heart a sincere, deep urgency at this time for, as my dear friend Andrea at Arise 2 Write would say "storming the heavens on our behalf"...Yes, storming the heavens, praying at his feet fervently is what is deeply needed especially at this time. I feel this ever so strongly at this time.

Hello Friends! I am writing this as Valerie Lynn (aka Sharon Faith) the mother. A mother who is fighting for her child in a system which is working against her son.

All glory honor and praise to God. I am asking once again for all my prayer warriors to pray for my son Justin and our family.

Justin has autism. He has the communication and social behavior disorder. We are fighting to get him services for people with special needs as well as SSI. The fight is beginning to weigh heavily on myself and my husband. We have to take him to "their" doctors and "their" psychologists to see if he qualifies as disabled. Many of "their" doctors are not in the area we live. We have to travel 50 plus miles sometimes.

My spirit is down and I am so tired. I am trying to stay strong in my faith. I am trying to stay positive. This fight is going to be one that God can only win. I am about ready to give up, but I know I must keep pressing on.

Please pray for our family. Pray that God will open the doors that man is trying to shut. We have a long battle ahead. Pray for strength. Pray for us to remain close to God and to trust and depend upon Him.
Thank you for your prayers.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
