If this is your first visit, please stop by here and read a little bit about our ministry--how we are joining together to lift others to God in prayer. However, what you read here and in the posts is actually enough.

Maybe you come across someone that needs prayer while visiting blogs, instead of just saying, "Praying for you", do so and bring their prayer need and leave your prayer here and let them know that you left a prayer for them at the Lighthouse of Prayer

This is an interactive blog based on a comment and response system. YOU are a part of our Prayer Team - the minute you add your prayer in the comment area or leave one for someone else in the reply under their prayer.

PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, PRAYER REQUEST, PRAISE, THANKS - in the place that would normally read COMMENTS after the most recent post, but here it reads "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD"... since a LINKY is no longer available. We begun using a PRAYER REQUEST LINKY, but if it's not there, please leave PRAYER or REQUEST in "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD" (the area for comments but do not write a comment) Thank you so much! Looking at this new template, it's difficult to know how to leave a comment (Prayer) but just click on the part that says __ comments. [it __ shows a number for how many comments/prayers are currently posted]

We'd love to see your prayer requests and praises to God in this area and hopefully others will be supporting you through their prayers written as a response to your prayer there. Be sure to come back and see the prayers lifting you and yours together to the LORD or leave one! You can also remain anonymous, God knows you.

Please remember NO COMMENTS, only PRAYERS! It is important that this be a house of prayer. Any comment, not as a prayer or prayer request will be deleted. Thanks again!

Please read announcement in Oct. 2014 first to understand better the lack of activity here! Thank you.

Cindy's family

Originally posted last week; this is reposted as a reminder & there are healing scriptures listed in both sidebars :

Would you join me/us?

(mother of 10)

"Suppose you had 10 kids and you had terminal cancer? Suppose it appeared your time was limited? What would you want a group of people, who didn't even know you, to do for you?"

The Fast: Monday, July 27th

Fast: Breakfast or Lunch or Dinner or All Three

Please, please, please ask your blog friends to join together with us. Please ask your prayer chains, your Bible studies....your prayer groups....your family......all of them....and let's see what God will do!

This PRAYER/FAST request is made from another mother of 10, Linny @ A Place Called Simplicity. You must go read her "call to prayer" here on behalf of Cindy & see the response then ask, why am I not part of this?

"On that note: I am asking if you would join me in a blog fast for my sweet friend. That God would heal her of her cancer. That He would move mountains. That He would touch her body and every single cancer cell and remove them. We will also ask God to minister to her husband, Howard. Ask God to minister to her children. Ask God to do above all we could ask or think. And we will humbly ask Him to do it Now in Jesus Name" ~ Linny @ A Place called Simplicity

I read this quote from one of the bloggers joining in this and I just had to share this as well:

"Faith is the bucket of power lowered by the rope of prayer into the well of God's abundance. What we bring up depends on what we let down."

- Virginia Whitman

Dear heavenly Father, I lift dear Cindy up to You. If it be Your will, please give her body total healing from cancer. You are the healer, we know what You can do Father. She is such a good person, and devoted mother to ten children who love, and need her. Please surround her, her husband, and precious children with much love and comfort. I love You Father.

I declare the Word of God over Cindy Isaiah 53 and Psalm 103. Jesus paid it all. Cancer, GO IN JESUS NAME. Name above all names. I am fasting and praying for you, sister.

I'm requesting prayers for healing for my 10 year old daughter that had a cancerous tumor on her left kidney. The kidney and the tumor was removed on June 2.

The docs believe that the tumor was contained in the kidney because 4 lymph nodes that were removed also, teated as normal in pathology.

She had a bone scan 2 weeks ago that was NORMAL- PRAISE GOD!

However a genetic test is being done right now because they think that the tumor may be genetic because the type of tumor is rare in children. So I'm also requesting prayers that the genetic tests come back as NEGATIVE because we have 4 other children that could be affected.

She has a CT scan scheduled for AUG 4 and we are supposed to find out the genetic test results that day.

Thank you

My Father,

I lift up to you Lesa, Samuel and their entire family.

Pour Your blessings down upon them and let them feel Your presence and peace within their hearts and minds.

I ask for a speedy recovery for this child from her surgery, and I praise You that all further testings have come back negative.

Lord, you know that the doctors are thinking that this may be a genetic disorder. You are all knowing, all wise, all powerful.

I come to You in prayer to ask that this be an isolated incident in this child, not a genetic disorder so that four of Your other little ones will not be affected.

Surround this family with Your healing power, Your touch of love, Your kindness and gentleness, and let them feel Your peace.

I ask this all in Your own Son's most precious Name,

I join with others in lifting Cindy and her family to You. We will be fasting tomorrow, as You know.

I call upon You to heal Cindy of her cancer so that she may raise her children up in You, for You and by You.

Surround this entire family with Your love and mercy. Let them feel Your peace flow into them and out them and through all of this turmoil bring others to You.

I love You with all my heart, Lord, and I ask all of this in Jesus' name,

For Abby and Stellan and their families: I am remembering the Roman official who traveled 20 miles to see Jesus. Jesus spoke the word without ever seeing the child. There is no distance in prayer. I speak blessing and peace and joy and strength over you today.

I stand in agreement with Karen, thanking her for the reminder of Jesus & this child healed by Him,
even in the we thank You Heavenly Father, that we can speak & declare it here & You can
make it happen there! We praise you for both updates on Abby & Stellan!
We ask that You would please continue their healing & bring peace & strength to the parents & family during these urgent hospitalizations! Give them Your rest & bring reassurance to them that there is nothing too difficult
or impossible for You!

Bless Karen for her prayers & be with her Lord today, meeting her daily need & keeping her love for You alive & shining!

Thank You for Cindy, LORD and though we may not see the results, we know that You are in control & have Cindy in Your hands & her husband & those 10 precious children. Heavenly Father, It is with mixed emotions I write this prayer! So thankful that You brought Cindy home to rejoice with You & no longer suffer, that her passing was peaceful & her family was there. Yet I grieve the loss for her family! Surround them during this time & send Your Holy Comforter. Bring them peace & meet their every need. Cindy, we will miss Your sweet spirit & loving & giving ways
though we hardly knew you. Rejoice & enter into your sweet rest! May you live on in good memories of each of your children. May your light shine before them. LORD, as You meet Cindy face to face, may she hear those words, "Well done".
Grief & joy...longing to share her sweet testimony with many. Encompass each person who grieves her loss with peace, love & comfort. May JOY come in the mourning & may we find strength in You!

It's Time to Pray

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
