PRAYER UPDATES & NEEDS

This should read EMMA GRACE but she is Heather & Mark's daughter and the whole family needs prayer, but especially Emma. Please go to read the urgent posts and Emma's story (if you don't already know it) over at Especially Heather. This has been a long, new battle since February.

Abby also and The Rigg's Family have been in a battle that is relentless. Here's the beginning of an update today:
"Today is not the best of days (humanly speaking). Abby’s immunity is virtually zero; after a trip to post office to get the now predictable stack of medical bills and insurance letters, Abby’s fever went from normal to pushing 102 in less than an hour (and climbing still, fast). She was already quarantined; now it’s back to the hospital for immediate admission." ... continue reading at their family blog...
Here are the prayer requests Brent shared:
  • The antibiotics will work. Kids with Leukemia don’t die from “cancer”… they die from secondary infections. That’s why these episodes are so serious and intense.
  • Strength and health for the rest of the family so we can deal with this.
  • Wisdom and alertness to handle all the details of hospital, medical bills, insurance and the rest of “life”.
I know just as Brent wrote that there are so many suffering and in need of a touch from Heaven, he mentioned the precious children with cancer and their families, but we all know there are so many even in just our blog world. Please take time to say a prayer each day for these families and children. Don't be afraid to visit them and leave an encouraging word or even a little prayer.

Dear heavenly Father, I lift these precious children, and their loving families up to You. Please hear their heart cries, and answer them. Pour Your love, peace, and healing all over them. I love You Father, and I believe in Your power. Amen

Dear God, You are great and greatly to be praised. Oh, how I wish that everyone would praise You and give You first priority in their lives. This world would be a better place...and individual lives would be so much better, so much happier.

I am so burdened for those who are unemployed, underemployed, or not able to work. They try to exist on what little they have. Some of them receive help from charities and government programs; others scrape here and there to earn a little; others have nothing. I pray that You will lift up these people. I pray that you will encourage them and guide them and show them the way. I pray that you will meet their EVERY need--whether for deliverance from sin, sickness, or some shackle that holds them down--for a job or career and financial needs--for shelter--for medical care--for counseling--for friendship--whatever they truly need. For some their greatest need is to find a purpose and a feeling of worth. I pray that they will lift up their eyes to You, from whence comes their help and their salvation. Please have mercy and help them. Please show me what I can do to help them and enable me to do so. Please intervene. And may You receive all the glory and praise for great things You will do and are doing.

Father, I know in particular that these two families of Abby & Emma have been through so much watching their child suffer and unable to do
or take it away. They are overwhelmed and weary. They ache watching these little lives in such pain. You went to the Cross & suffered and bore our infirmities. We ask that by Your Cross, You would turn things around for Emma and Abby. They need a good report. We thank You for every small miracle! Nothing is too difficult for You! You are greater than any illness. You are their strength. You are their comfort. Take away their pain. Help them and their families with a good change. We take the authority of Christ over Abby & Emma. I broke in tears as I read both of their updates for totally different reasons as I cried out to You in prayer. Please Lord, be Jehovah Rapha, bring healing and good results.

Bring each of them a sign of Your love and release them from continual pain, unknown future and needless suffering In the name of Jesus I pray, and give You thanks & glory, amen.

It's Time to Pray

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
