Colossians 3:15
"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,
since as members of one body you were called to peace.
And be thankful."

Dear God,

How I thank You for Your peace which passes all understanding and keeps my heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
You keep me in perfect peace when my mind is stayed on You because I trust in You. Isaiah 26:3-4 Your peace is so precious to me. Help me to trust You always.

Your peace in my heart is the umpire that tells me what's right and wrong. I ask You, Lord to help me follow the guidance of Your peace in my heart. Colossians 3:15

Help me, in so far as it is possible, to live in peace with those outside the Body of Christ, as well as with my brothers and sisters in Christ. Romans 12:18 Don't let me make excuses for strife and unforgiveness. Help me remember it takes two to quarrel and a soft answer turns away wrath. Proverbs 15:1

Keep my tongue from evil, and my lips from speaking guile. I seek and pursue peace in  my heart. Psalm 34:13,14 Lord Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 and I want to be Your follower.

Help me to be a fruit bearing Christian, Lord, one who shows forth the fruit of peace in all my relationships. James 3:18 As I learn to live in the Spirit, help me to walk in peace Galatians 5:25
with You, God, my fellow man Hebrews 12:14 and with myself. Peace is such a precious possession, and I want to guard it carefully. Teach me never to do anything that will disturb Your precious peace.

I will trust in You forever because in You there is everlasting peace and strength.

When I follow Your commandments Lord, You promise to give peace like a river, and Your righteousness as the waves of the sea. Isaiah 48:18 Because I have been justified by faith, I will always have peace with You, Father, through my Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1

Thank You Jesus for leaving Your peace with me. You have imparted You peace to me through
Your Holy Spirit and I receive it now as I pray. Because You don't give as the world gives, I know the peace You've given to my heart will keep me from ever again being troubled  or afraid. John 14:27

Your peace makes me certain of all the truth of Your Word. Thank You, Jesus.

Dear Lord, I want to be fully controlled by Your will, pleasing You in every way. From Your word, grant me Holy Spirit insight into Your will. Teach me to pray in this Spirit-led manner, that Your grace might lead me to do Your will from deep within my heart.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
