Meditation

Father, as we enter this season of preparing for festivities and family get-togethers, we pause and meditate on the real reason we celebrate Christmas his Name is Jesus. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. In Jesus was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. This Life-Light continues to blaze out of the darkness, and the darkness cannot put it out. Thank You, Father, for giving us real (eternal) life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I lift up before Your throne, all those that are serving in the military, and their precious families. Guide their footsteps, and please keep them safe, as they put their lives on the line to keep us safe. Thank You Father. Amen.

Military

Father, in the name of Jesus, provide for and protect the families of our armed forces. Preserve marriages; cause the hearts of the parents to turn toward their children and the hearts of the children to turn toward the fathers and mothers. I plead the blood of Jesus (divine protection) over our troops and their families. Provide a support system to under-gird, uplift and edify those who have been left to raise children alone. Through Your Holy Spirit, comfort the lonely and strengthen the weary, in the name of Jesus. Amen. (Members of the Armed Forces, Prayers That Avail Much, Volume 3)

Meditation

Oh, LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things, even purposes planned of old [and fulfilled] in faithfulness and truth. Father, You so loved the world that You sent Your only begotten Son to take away our sins. Jesus, I turn to You in every situation for You are my Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. I bind my emotions to the control of the Holy Spirit and my thoughts to the wisdom of God. I renounce old, unpleasant memories that exalt themselves above the knowledge of God, and choose to bring them into obedience to the Royal Law of Love. Prince of Peace I pray that you will be glorified in my public and private life, and in my relationships during this Holiday Season, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Peace of Jerusalem

Father, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Thank You for bringing the people of Israel into unity with each other and for bringing Your Church into oneness one new man. I thank You for the peace treaties with Israels former enemies, and ask You to give them wisdom as they work out present peace treaties. Dear Lord, Your Word tells us "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). I pray right now, in the name of Jesus, that you would rebuke every evil thought, tear down every stronghold in my life, and help me Lord, to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Help me to overcome and to rise above all that pulls me down. Help me to soar with the Eagles and have sweet fellowship with You. May my life be a living testimony to You, Oh God. In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Praying with this prayer from Germaine for peace, protection and supernatural resolution for Jerusalem and Israel in this current situation and as we know the end time signs that are so relevant in this day and age! God saves us and save Israel, Your people!

We will praise You in the sanctuary with instruments and with the dance; with stringed instruments and organs; with cymbals and high-sounding cymbals. As long as we have breath, we will praise You, Father God, in the Holy Name of Jesus. You are a mighty God! Hallelujah!

The Tithe
My parents always tithed and gave offerings. One spring day my dad walked to his organic garden to find an invasion of destructive bugs eating up the young plants. Without hesitation, he went back to the house, picked up his Bible and asked mother to come outside with him. They walked to the center of the rows of vegetables where dad read Malachi 3:10-11 aloud and prayed: Father we have been faithful to your word and paid our tithes with gladness. Now I thank You for honoring Your Word that says You will rebuke the devourer [insects and plagues] for our sakes. Lord of hosts, we declare that you are Lord over this garden. They were not afraid to prove God. That year their crop was greater than every. We all gave glory to God, our Father, as we enjoyed the fresh vegetables that summer! They had plenty to share with neighbors and friends.

PRAYER:
Father, it is our delight to bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of our income) into the storehouse that there may be food in Your house. Lord of hosts, in accordance with Your Word, we prove You now by paying You the tithe where we receive our spiritual nourishment. Thank You for opening the Windows of Heaven for us and pouring out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it, in the name of Jesus. Amen. CONFIDENCE
A lack of confidence will hinder your relationship with God, and often cause you to deny yourself the more abundant life that Jesus came to give you. Develop a strong faith. Developing an intimate relationship with the Father and learning who you are in Christ Jesus will fill you with confidence and assurance. Fill your thoughts and your mouth with His word and enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 10:19). The Lord Himself shall be your confidence, firm and strong, and He shall keep your foot from being caught in a trap of hidden danger (Proverbs 3:26).

PRAYER OF AFFIRMATION
Heavenly Father, you are my light and my salvation. By your grace, I shall not fear man nor become entangled in the ungodly traditions of men. I throw aside every weight and sin that has tried to ensnare me so that I might run the race you have set before me with confidence, efficiency and effectiveness. I seek to be temperate in all things and run this race to receive a crown of eternal blessedness with certainty. Father, in my life be glorified, in Jesus' name. Amen.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --
