SEPTEMBER PRAYER REQUESTS ~ Week 2

"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken"
Ecclesiastes 4:12

This is meant to be an interactive blog based on comment and response system. That's where YOU come in, we need YOU to help the Lighthouse of Prayer work effectively by joining us in sharing your prayer requests or other's you encounter AND then by leaving a prayer for them, let them know that you are lifting them in prayer with us here.
WE REALLY NEED YOU !
This blog ONLY works if WE all JOIN together
in prayer and sharing.
We'd love to see your Prayer requests (Petitions) in what normally would be the Comment area, where others will be supporting you through their prayers hopefully, written as a response to your petition there. We'd like this to be a community of prayer, praying for one another.

We encourage you ALL to pray whenever you read a need of someone, so please respond here with a prayer also. You need not be a team member to leave a prayer for someone or bring a prayer need here. We all can lift up a prayer for each person and encourage someone, help to carry another's burden, stand with them and bless them.

This blog post is only for
PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use other posts to write other prayers but

Your PRAYERS are always welcome here!

When you leave a prayer request,
please come back to read the prayer(s) for you.
Hopefully you will find them right under your
PRAYER REQUEST
made possible with the new feature of
REPLY

If you are praying for that prayer request
please use the REPLY right under
that specific prayer request.

When you add a PRAYER REQUEST in comments, please
write PRAYER REQUEST first
or just
add your prayer request in the
LINKY

FOR SEPTEMBER
we will have
WEEKLY
PRAYER REQUEST
posts

Thank you in the name of Jesus
let us pray

There were 11 prayers previously posted in Week 1
for some of the above requests and people. Please read them there.

Sept. 13

God, I won't let the lies and doubts that the enemy sends my way get me off track. Instead, I'll believe what Your Word says and take those thoughts captive!

2 Corinthians 10:5

Sept. 12

God, no matter how bad my messes get, I choose to praise You in my prison. I know that You will suddenly free me and come through in Your perfect timing.

O Heavenly Father,

When my heart is overwhelmed,

I go to the Rock...

I fall on my knees, I cry out to You, Lord ...
Hear the prayers of each of these sisters for each of these prayer needs
and answer us according to Your will.

Give us the grace and strength. Send us the power of Your Holy Spirit. Fill us overflowing with more of You.

Oh God, Time and grace heals our wounds, but time is not always a friend. What about my friends who have not heard Your words of life? What if they were to die today? I should know how short life can be. I've lost loved ones and friends who were young. Accidents and sudden illness can take away a life quickly. Cancer, diabetes, aneurysms, catastrophic events can change a person's health and life in a moment. Lord, why do I fear opening my mouth? Please help me to be bold, the speak Your words of truth and life to those I love, my family and friends, before time runs out. Help me to be a living testimony for You. Stir up the Holy Spirit within me and the gifts You have given me to minister to others, to reach a dying world, to share Your love and Your hope for the future. Thank You in the name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Amen.

Father God, Please keep special watch over Denise, Cathy and Alice. Bless them for praying for each other and others! I so wanted to stand in agreement with them and lift each one in prayer (and I will) but just not here at our Lighthouse, thank You for hearing us, being with us, loving us and extending to us Your mercy and grace... I love You! I exalt You! I give You all the glory and praise and thanks for the seen and the unseen, the spoken and the unspoken and all that You are doing and completing in Jesus Name

* the first part of this prayer is from TGIF email for today... on my heart as so are my sisters in Christ, and the many events of the world. God, save us and have mercy!

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
