DON'T WORRY - BE HAPPY

[graphic from Heartlight.org]

"When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say."
Luke 12:11-12, New International Version

Thank You, Father. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit which equips us with all that we need to live, to breathe, and even to speak. Thank You for this mighty Word which is confirmation to prayer today--for me and for a dear friend. You know exactly what to give us at just the right time.

I praise You my sweet Lord. I thank You for my sister Peggy. I ask that You surround her with Your presence tonight. I thank You for blessing my life with her encouragement and her prayers too. I praise You my King. I worship You. May Your Word go right from the screens this Word Filled Wed and into our hearts.

In Jesus' name. Amen.

I needed that verse to encourage a friend on Monday night.....we both knew it but neither of us could bring it out of our memories.......so thank you.
I could not get the relevant words to search it in a concordance.....but anyway we both knew the essential content.
It was very appropriate for her to claim it in her situation.
Blessings

Thanksgiving for the freedom that our country has this 4th of July and for the brave men and women who defend that freedom. Asking for forgiveness of our country's sin and shorcomings; that as a nation we would return to God. For Divine Intervention in the Gulf oil disaster. God bless the USA.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
