FEBRUARY'S PETITIONS TO GOD'S THRONE

"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken"
"For where two or three come together in my name,
there am I with them."
This is meant to be an interactive blog based on a comment and response system

PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, PRAYER REQUEST, PRAISE, THANKS in the place that would normally read comments after the most recent post, here it will read

"PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD."

We'd love to see your Prayer requests (Petitions) in what normally would be the Comment area, where others will be supporting you through their prayers, written as a response to your petition there.

We are encouraging you all to pray whenever you read a need of someone, so please respond here with a prayer. You need not be a team member to leave a prayer for someone or bring a prayer need here. We all can lift up a prayer for each person and encourage someone, help to carry another's burden, stand with them and bless them.

The Linky asks for a blog link (BUT you need not fill that in if you don't have a blog or the person that you are requesting prayers for does not). The intention of this is so the people will go "visit" the person to encourage them or find out more about the situation. Thank you for sharing people that you find need prayer.

Please take the time to check out the PRAYERS FOR JANUARY, many still need our prayers.

Dear heavenly Father, I come here this morning with a very heavy heart. Where are the prayer warriors? We need to pray without ceasing for one another. The needs are so great, but the prayers are so few. Please bless my dear sister Peggy, she daily prayers for the needs of so many, hear, and answer her prayers. I stand side by side with her, we will never quit praying. Thank You for loving us, and listening to us Father. Amen

Dear heavenly Father, I pray for those lost souls all over the world. May they feel a special nudge from the Holy Spirit, and fall upon their knees, and cry out to You. May they be saved from eternal damnation. Save them Father, please save them. I love You. Amen

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come here for a specific person who celebrates their 32nd birthday today but first I must agree in prayer with my precious sister Denise, who comes here on behalf of so many and so much burdens. I stand with her in each prayer above that I moved here from January's prayers because she prayed these all this February. Thank You for sending her back here to seek You and lift up our hurting souls to You!

I'm asking You to bless this special lost soul, who I have not seen for years. He knew You once also and I pray that on this day, You will draw Him back to You. More than anything Lord, He needs You. Put someone in His path that will remind him of his need for You and to encourage him to return and find His strength in You only. I ask Your forgiveness if I have done anything to offend him. I ask that You would move on his heart to forgive me so that he will realize that I love him and that You love him, too! I will not ask that You bring him back into my life but more than anything restore his life in You and make him available to his sister. They both need You and one another. Bring them back into the fold to walk faithfully in the JOY of their salvation. They were given spiritual truths in a wonderful church family that nourished them through many difficult moments. May they come to know You as the best Father rather than the earthly examples that failed them. If I failed them in any way, I ask that they forgive me and that You forgive me and them. Rekindle in them a deep urge to run to Your arms. Surround them with angels and people to draw them back to You! Bless their lives with Truth, remove all obstacles that are preventing them from returning to faith in You and being in fellowship with Christians that make a difference and influence their lives to bear fruit. Have mercy on them and give them grace!
You are their Light, bring them out of any darkness. I cut off any ties or generational curses and release Your Holy Spirit to fill them with Strength, Comfort and eternal blessings.

May You let him know that I'm thinking of him today and asking You to bless his life. Watch over him every day. Guard him from all harm. Pour out the tender heart I saw in him as a sweet child and let him know my heart wants to take his hurts and see You shine once more through his eyes. I love You Lord and I want both of these precious children to walk in Your Light, Truth and Way. I love both of them as You love them. I thank You for their lives and their children's lives. Bless each one. Help each one to know Jesus as their One and Only Way to salvation, the One who loves them unconditionally and never fails. Let their knowledge of You return to their hearts and bring them home to You! In Jesus Name, I ask this and consider it completed in You, by You and through You for all the glory, honor and praise is Yours...

Thank You, thank You for listening to this mother's heart that has left them in Your hands and trusts You to complete the good work that You began in Jesus Name.

ohhh Heavenly Father...my heart is so broken and grieved as I lift these little ones enduring through cancer and their families brokenness as they try to fight and stay strong in You, hoping for a miracle for their loved ones, knowing that healing comes from You. Understanding that the ultimate healing is in Your arms but holding on to the faintest HOPE that You can do this, this side of eternity. How their spirits are aching and torn! Lord, I hear their heartache and I weep with them. I know that Joy comes in the morning but I ask that You break through this heaviness with a great outpouring of Your unfailing love!

May You give them strength and comfort!

May You dull the pain and lessen the suffering.

O Lord, may Your will be done and may You be glorified.

Touch Susana, Brielle, Kate and Daisy. Encourage their families and surround them with Your love in visible ways. Lift up their hearts and allow them to sense that You are greater than cancer. Keep their eyes focused on You the Problem Solver, the Healer and not on this overwhelming problem. You are more powerful than cancer. Cancer must bow to Your Name as well. We ask that You take control. We give these precious ones Your love, grace and mercy to bear all for You are more than enough.

Thank You Jesus for every prayer You hear for these battle fatigued ones!

Dear heavenly Father, I join my precious sister Peggy in praying for these precious souls that are dealing with cancer. If it be Your will, heal them Father. Give them, and their loved ones much comfort during this time. We love You Father, and lay these souls in Your healing hands. Amen.

Dear heavenly Father, I lift Grace up before You. Please remove the nodule from her lung, and make her healthy once again. I love You, and greatly believe in Your healing powers. Amen

Precious Lord, So many struggling with various forms of cancer! It becomes overwhelming Father for each of them and their families and even for us as we come before You and ask for an outpouring of miracles. Your grace is sufficient! Your will be done! Yet we ask for the grace for each one of these precious children of God and their families: Susana, Katie, Brielle, Daisy, Kevin, Grace and for a different battle Amber and her mom Jennifer. Be with each one to receive the best care and wisdom for what needs to be done. Give them Your strength and guidance along the way. Decrease their pain and lessen their suffering. Lord, You above all, know what it is to suffer. Most of these are children.

We also lift up our sisters Elaine and Stacy, who have fought this battle and the chemo and all the effects.

Father, You are more powerful than cancer. You have the power to heal.
You created these cells and You are able to change the cells that have no place. We know that You can be glorified but help us to understand and cope with the losses. We want to behold the victory of Your healing hands but we've been taught to pray according to Your will. We instinctively want our will and our way and not have to face these sufferings, nor watch as others bear the burdens or suffer. We ask and cry out for Your mercy. We seek
You as the Healer, Our Redeemer and
as we trust You with these precious ones, that You would care for them.
Give us courage as You pour Your strength into each one. Teach us how to love in these moments. Help us with any unbelief. Let us know that You are Omnipotent and that Your unfailing love will see these families through this life changing storm. You are the Healer! We praise You! You are the Comfort for each one and You bring the peace that we need. You are the Problem Solver and we look to You rather than the problem. When we can bear the pain, and we no longer hold on to faith and hope, let us KNOW without a doubt that You are carrying us past the pain to an eternity filled no longer with suffering, pain, tears or hardship.
Encourage us when hope is gone.
Inspire us to face each day.
Surround each one with the perseverance to face the situation of the moment and LOVE to carry them beyond the ache. May we focus on the victory that You have won and look to the power found in Your Spirit to take us past all of this.

We thank You for each triumph, we look with hope to many more and we give You all the honor, glory and praise, no matter what... because You are God! Thank You! Praise to You! Glory, glory, glory O Lord!
In Jesus precious name and by His stripes, bring healing to each one.

Jesus You are Lord!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Be with Maria and Cody! Shower them with Your Comfort and Peace! Embrace them as they ache at the loss of their precious Susana yet rejoice that she is in Your arms, and will suffer no more. Hear their praise and their pain:

"Susana finished her race on 02/11/11 at 12:15 PM
February 11, 2011
Susana Raquel Whittaker is now in the presence of our great and glorious God. She ran her race. She ran well. We held her hand and led her into the arms of Jesus. Our hearts groan like never before. But we rejoice in our God who loves us so much and has brought our little girl into heaven where she now sees Him face to face. Soon, my beloved Susana, and very soon, we too are going to see the King."

Since I was praying for them and then saw the above, my heart is heavy and the tears overwhelm me as
I read these words after I had read The Climb to Moriah

Lord, Grief is such a long path. Please surround these parents, Isabela (Susana's sister)and the hearts of other loved ones. You understand the pain and You know the numbness flooding their spirit.
We praise and rejoice in Susana's homecoming and thank You how You will use this to further Your glory. But please cover this family with loving arms of support as they grieve and remember the good memories they shared with their precious daughter Susana. Be glorified! Be with them and never let go! Give them the courage to continue in HOPE! Send in others to hold up their arms! Wrap them with
Your JOY and bind up their broken hearts! Bring a little gladness to their hearts instead of morning and remind them of the crown of beauty instead of ashes. Praise You that they know and profess the Truth and hold on to their Hope in You and Your promises...You bring comfort to all who mourn and provide for those who grieve and a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness!

Ohhh, Lord, call your people to rally around Cody and Maria just as the 50 joined them in praise, still we will praise You and praise will lift us to see the power of Your resurrection and not dwell at the great pain of their loss! We all love You Lord and trust in You to hold them in Your arms as they bear their grief and move forward in You in Jesus' Name...

O Lord,

Linky has disappeared again so the list of many prayer requests are in Your Hands and You know each spoken and unspoken one! I cam here today to pray for each one and when I can I will get the list and copy it here in this post (but right now Linky site says service unavailable) yet I know You are always available.

I also came here to add a prayer for Angie Smith and her daughter Ellie (on the way to the DR. to examine a bump at the base of her skull that may be related to dizzy spells Ellie's had). Angie (mom) has an upside down stomach probable from worry... so we ask that You calm her thoughts and GO with them!
Be with them and bring wisdom and thoroughness as we trust You with all of this! May Ellie's bump not bother her and even disappear in Jesus Name as they get results for her. Take away her dizzy spells.
We ask according to Your Will and that You have good plans for Ellie and a purpose for this little one.
Thank You Lord for the prompt attention and care as they seek Your healing and wisdom through the doctor and Your power in Jesus' Name...

and the same for all the rest that are on this missing list... March will bring a new list but we still lift up all requests and prayers brought here before You, asking Jesus to intercede on our behalf.
Thank You Lord as You complete each one...

I love You and await PRAISE reports
but even in the 'storms',we will
PRAISE YOU and give You all the honor, glory and thanksgiving as we trust in You and trust You!

Lord, Thank You for Denise and all her PRAYERS!

You know that we are constantly praying for DENISE and we ask Lord that You hear Denise, hear her own needs and heal her in Jesus Name!
She has so much each day to bear yet Your Word tells us to "bear one another's burdens" and promises us that You care for us...We seek Your complete care for Denise, that she gets the REST, STRENGTH, HEALING and all that You have for her and Lovebug - that Your will and love for those that seek You according to Your Word and Will, will receive. Thank You! We love You and
believe in You and that You will complete the good work that You have begun. Bring good news for Denise, hold her close and help her each day to press on and wage war against all that she is dealing with. Surround her with support, Your grace and Your Love!

Praise, glory, honor and thanks to You forever and ever... our love.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
