WHERE TO TURN WHEN ...

... You Are Making a Decision ...

Nehemiah 1:4; Psalm 119:105; Proverbs 18:15; James 1:5; Psalm 37:5; Jeremiah 33:3

For the next 40+ days I will be sharing one of these alphabetically from the index of my "Max Lucado Devotional Bible" and ask that if you feel led to PRAY about any related topic that you do so in the comments: PRAYERS ONLY ... pray the SCRIPTURE or just from your heart.

Please remember NO COMMENTS, only PRAYERS accepted HERE! It is important that this be a house of prayer. Any comment, not as a prayer or prayer request will be deleted. Thanks again!

Dear Heavenly Father, All decisions should begin with prayer, and end with prayer.

Lord, "When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven."

Thanks Nehemiah for such a true beginning of being on our knees seeking God when making a decision.

Thank You Heavenly Father that we can come to You, no matter how big or small the decision. May we hear Your voice telling us which way to decide and lean into doing it Your way instead of our way. Forgive me for the times I have tried to do it my own way and help me to rely on You by coming to You first in all my decisions. May I do Your will not mine. May I pray for Your will, not mine and may Your kingdom come (not that of other men (nations) trying to make Your Kingdom - their kingdoms). We lift up all authorities and ask that God and God's wisdom and direction alone would be done in Jesus' Name ...

calling upon Jeremiah 33:3 and thanking You, O Lord!

I commit my way to Yours, O Lord; trusting in You and that You will do this ... according to Psalm 37:5. Thank You!

Heavenly Father,

Often I lack wisdom so

"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."

I'm asking and coming to You with a heart of expectation, believing You and Your Promises in Your Word! Thanking You today for all I ask and seek in Jesus' Name for my dear sisters in Christ ... I believe that they will receive not through my might or power but Yours!

Oh Heavenly Father ... how I need better discernment in all decisions so I pray this from the Proverbs verse
"The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out." May my heart be wise like this ... thank You! I give You praise for speaking Your Word to us in seeking wisdom and making better decisions. Guide us by Your Holy Spirit!

(or Amy Grant sings this with Michael W. Smith also)! So today O LORD I sing this along with them as You light my path.

Heavenly Father, thank You for such a profound word from our dear Sister Denise. Something so simple but so hard to remember or grasp. Amen.

It's Time to Pray

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
