Lord, Forgive me for my explosive anger and not guarding my mouth more often. Help me to stop, count and wait before allowing my frustration, irritation, past hurts, injustices or disappointments to erupt without thinking about it and handling my emotions better. Thank You that I usually do not let it become sin or go to bed with that anger. Thank You that I can come to You and share even my anger for the way things are, situations, circumstances.
Because You understand and are a just God. Help me to control any anger. I know that You will handle all unjust situations so I leave them in Your hands. I must rid myself of all things as Colossians says and I confess this, asking You to seal my lips and purify my actions in Jesus' name from this day forward. Teach me to manage my anger and put on the fire, uproot whatever the cause may be and take full control by Your Spirit. Thank You Lord.
correction: put OUT the fire (that feeds this anger) not the fire of the Holy Spirit, I need more of Him
"19 My dear sisters and brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires."
Dear Lord, Help me to remember to be quick to listen and slow to speak. May I learn to be slow to anger and not allow any that does not produce Your righteousness in me or in my world. Thank You for this Word from James 1.
I ask that You help anyone who is dealing with anger issues and exploding. I have been there and I know how things come unglued. In Jesus' name, we take authority over the cause of anger and ask that the Holy Spirit help us to channel and manage our emotions. Thank You Jesus, that even when You became angry, it was righteous anger and You went to pray, upset for changing the "house of prayer" into a money changing place. Help us to discern our anger and whether it is from hurt; injustice; fear or being frustrated or any combination that we may propel it to action rather than reaction, keeping us from "sin". May we never allow the sun to set on our anger but find a resolution of peace in You; confess our wrongs and diffuse our explosive ways to handling our emotions properly; not stuffing or exploding by Your Holy Spirit ...
"Lord, You are a God who is ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness. (Nehemiah 9:17)
You are renewing my life so that I am becoming more like You. (Romans 8:29) Thank You, Father.I renounce the power anger has held over my life, and I repent of the sins into which it has led me." ... from "Prayers that Prevail"
Dear Heavenly Father, Help us all to control our anger, and keep our emotions under control. Let the calm waters of Your love pour over the burning fire of anger. We love You Father. Amen
Lord, Sometimes we get angry and we don't even understand why or from where this anger is coming from, but You do. Sometimes we need to express our feelings in a better way. Help me not to react when I'm upset or frustrated or someone is not doing things my way or agreeing with me. Stop me from losing control and bring Your Holy Spirit to guard my mouth and my thoughts so that I do not enter in to sin and let the enemy win. Other times, I am tired or have different expectations. Forgive me for ever letting anger in. I come against any spirit of anger, rage, bitterness, unforgiveness, and the others mentioned because those are not from You. Show me how to respond in love and patience. Keep me at peace. There are times when many injustices simmer inside of me, and I let them compile and then I react inappropriately. Sometimes my frustration is misunderstood as anger. Sometimes I am just upset. Help me to be understood as to understand ... and lead me into a peaceful way at all times. Take control. I confess that there are also times when I am angry with You for allowing circumstances or situations beyond our control and that are so unjust. But You are God and You are in control. Help me to realize that You are good even when I don't see it or understand. Thank You that You are so good.
Thank You for being slow to anger. Show me how to do this like You. Teach me to use the sword of Your Word as I should to defend injustices and stop fear from taking over. Stop me from entering into my flesh and battling with my tongue when someone argues or has conflicts with me. Help me to be silent and bring this to You immediately rather than allow it to simmer or stuff it which comes out bad later. Thank You that You care enough for us and You are more than enough. Give me a sweet spirit to respond in kindness and goodness to everyone in Jesus' name I ask
Dear Heavenly Father, Please help me when someone else's anger erupts all over me. Help me to turn the other cheek, and continue to love them, and pray for them. Thank You. Amen
Oh yes Lord, guard those who have to endure the angry outbursts and cruel ways another. Bring calmness at times like this and forgiveness in heaps. Protect my dear little sister and her heart, guard her always and all ways. She does not deserve any of this and we bind the enemy that disrupts her peace of mind and heart that loves. Heal the hurts that cause this for both. Stop the enemy from taking over in Jesus' name and put a shield of defense around Denise. Let the angry one know that Your love (and hers) covers a multitude of sins. But this must END today in Jesus'name, no more hurt, or hurls of insults and heartaches. Pour Your balming, healing oil over Denise as she continues in love. Embrace her and hold her, covering her ears to her heart and the destruction of this pain from the angry outbursts. Deliver them from all evil in Jesus' power and authority, we declare that Denise is free from the anger of another. May a soft answer turn away wrath and stop grievous words from stirring it up. May we cease from grieving the Holy Spirit in anger for we are sealed unto the day of redemption. May all clamor, bitterness, wrath, anger or whatever clamor or evil be removed from causing Denise to suffer more and endure or be stressed beyond her already heavy weight of her health issues. Replace those sinful outbursts and responses with the fruit of the Spirit and return this angry heart to You, that this person might be kind, tenderhearted, forgiving, understanding, peaceful, etc. as You are and have been with us when we are forgiven for Christ's sake. Build up and restore relationships that the enemy is trying to destroy in Jesus' name bring repentance and change.
Father, I pray in agreement with Peggy's prayer for our dear sister, Denise. Thank you, Lord, that you hear and answer our prayers. In Jesus name, Amen.
