If this is your first visit, please stop by here and read a little bit about our ministry--how we are joining together to lift others to God in prayer. However, what you read here and in the posts is actually enough.

Maybe you come across someone that needs prayer while visiting blogs, instead of just saying, "Praying for you", do so and bring their prayer need and leave your prayer here and let them know that you left a prayer for them at the Lighthouse of Prayer

This is an interactive blog based on a comment and response system. YOU are a part of our Prayer Team - the minute you add your prayer in the comment area or leave one for someone else in the reply under their prayer.

PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, PRAYER REQUEST, PRAISE, THANKS - in the place that would normally read COMMENTS after the most recent post, but here it reads "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD"... since a LINKY is no longer available. We begun using a PRAYER REQUEST LINKY, but if it's not there, please leave PRAYER or REQUEST in "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD" (the area for comments but do not write a comment) Thank you so much! Looking at this new template, it's difficult to know how to leave a comment (Prayer) but just click on the part that says __ comments. [it __ shows a number for how many comments/prayers are currently posted]

We'd love to see your prayer requests and praises to God in this area and hopefully others will be supporting you through their prayers written as a response to your prayer there. Be sure to come back and see the prayers lifting you and yours together to the LORD or leave one! You can also remain anonymous, God knows you.

Please remember NO COMMENTS, only PRAYERS! It is important that this be a house of prayer. Any comment, not as a prayer or prayer request will be deleted. Thanks again!

Please read announcement in Oct. 2014 first to understand better the lack of activity here! Thank you.

May we be thankful for every answer.

"Remember: sometimes He says "yes," sometimes He says "no,"
and sometimes He says "wait" -
but His answer is always His perfect will." ~

Heavenly Father,

Thank You once again for the internet this moment!

Thank You for my dear sister Denise and the many prayers that she prays for others! Thank You for her sweet love and prayers for me! Thank You that You are making a way for her and Lovebug! Thank You for all the Provision that You have in store for her. We will praise and thank You together Lord as each bill is paid and You bountifully take care of Denise and Eddie; their health, their daily needs, the stack of medical bills. Nothing is impossible for You! You own it all!
You are more than sufficient! I place Denise in Your hands for her physical healing and needs! Take away all pain and give her Your healing salve on her precious eyes right down to the shot nerves! We trust in You and Your will. Give Denise strength as she leans on You. Thank You for her faithfulness to lift others to You and to press on with a positive attitude and gratitude. We love You! We thank You! We praise You and adore You!
You are the Lifter of our heads!
Thank You that You have given us each other and we can come to You!
Thank You Lord! You are our faithful friend and I thank You that through every storm and tear, You sent Denise as my faithful friend and You also sent her to others; Alleluiabelle, Sherry, and so many others that she encourages.

Thank You also for Amanda, who has encouraged me with her words and visits. Both she and Denise have been my light for today's darkness and also for sweet Karen. I thank You for her and the way she also has blessed me and chosen to send me peace for the journey! I thank You for Cathy also for her many words left to encourage me and keep me in touch with music via her Twitter and Facebook friends. Thank You for each one of these sisters, who take and make the time in their life for me, for their sweet encouragement, and their unique ways to be Jesus to me, while I am alone here in Mexico. I cannot put on a mask this week and go about as if everything is fine when I'm confronted so deeply and reminded so clearly of the pain in loss of a loved one and friend. Too young and no real good reason for them to not be here, loving and living! I thank You for the HOPE I have to press on! I thank You for the STRENGTH You have given me so far. I thank You for the COMFORT that holds me together and catches my tears that
have now gone dry. You are the WINGS beneath me and thank You for the wings to fly (as Denise sent me). I have learned that You are my God and I can lean and trust on You! Thank You for who You are for every moment of my life! Thank You!

It's Time to Pray

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
