Day 31 - Teach me to Pray

Day-31 Teach me to Pray

from the

(I believe tomorrow, at Prayer Central, these start over)

"Day-31 Teach me to Pray

Teach Me To Pray
When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, He gave them a simple 6 step pattern to follow. He didn’t intend for us to just pray the same words he spoke in Matthew 6:9, He intended it to be an outline for prayer. Use each verse of the Lord’s pray as a guideline to help keep your prayer-time on track. “Pray, then, in this way:”

Step 1

“Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.” This is the call to praise and worship. Take time to honor the Lord and consider His greatness. Remember His faithfulness to you and and be encouraged by His promises.

Step 2

“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.” Align yourself with God’s will, and listen to know His desires. Proclaim God’s will over your life, family, church, the lost, etc. Wait and allow the Lord to share His heart and will with you.

Step 3

“Give us this day our daily bread.” Ask God for your needs and the needs of others. Be specific, and ask in faith for anything you know the Lord wants to give you (see step 2).

Step 4

“And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” Ask God for forgiveness in any areas of known sin, and speak out forgiveness toward anyone you have not forgiven.

Step 5

“And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”Stand in the authority of Christ and resist the enemy in whatever way he is coming against you or against others.

Step 6

“For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.” Finish with proclaiming who God is and exalting His name. Take time to thank Him for the answers to come, and to worship Him as the Most High God. " Prayer Central by Kathleen Dillard

I felt that this last one was important to have here as a final reminder of how we should be praying.

Let us

PRAY

This is the Final post here once again

{see Update Note at end of the other blog with all this month's prayer links to Prayer Central. But remember they will not click to that specific day's prayer - they all go to the current day's prayer} I will try to go back and add the missing ones yet as you can see, it won't be available until that day of the month.

I sincerely tried to restart us praying as 'one chord' here again
just does not seem as interactive as it was meant to be

ABC's of PRAYER Links

to
Prayer Central

[New DAY added every day]

Page Icon

I did not forget to post the daily devotional link on Mon. nor did I decide to stop yet. However, I was hoping that by now, with Days 1-6, you had a pretty good idea how to go directly to Prayer Central for one of Kathleen Dillard's devotionals whether it was this one - "ABC's of Prayer" or one of the other 5 available that I gave in a list on Day 1

I will post this now and be adding each one as the week progresses so the last day given (or the day of the month) is the one for TODAY.

Day 7 - His Purpose for our lives

Ephesians 2:10; James 1:27; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 14:17; Jeremiah 29:11

Day 8 - The Magnificence of God

Psalms 93:1; Psalms 71:19; Psalms 77:13; Isaiah 44:24; Isaiah 40:26

Day 9

OK, I either missed Day 9 or Prayer Central (PC) missed and skipped it, because today is March 9th and when I clicked over to PC I found Day 10. As you may have already learned you can't go back over at PC ... so if you are not here on the day and click the link, it will only bring you to the present day's prayer

Day 30 - Souls Purchased by the Blood of the Lamb
{prayer and scripture from Prayer Central shared in comments}

Day 31 - Teach me to Pray
{shared in last post 3/31}

Continue by following each Day's link by clicking on that Day and Title and reading over at Prayer Central; the Intro and Prayer for that topic. It will give you an idea of how to pray. Try praying God's Word by using the scriptures given. Choose one or all or another that may come to you and simply turn the word into your prayer back to Him, for His Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11) and there is power in His Word. I give you an example of this in my prayer in the comments for Day 11 (March 11).

You are most welcome to add your own "Prayers Lifted to the Throne of God" daily in the comments here or for whichever one you'd like to choose. I will add each day to this post for the week with the Scriptures as soon as they publish and I am able to do so, but if not just click over to Prayer Central for the current day of "ABC's of Prayer" (only that day will show).

For Days 1 - 6, see under Blog Archive, March 2016, to the right in the sidebar under Prayer Team Members. You can be one too, just click on Join this site. :) and come to pray. Thank you for your prayers and God bless each prayer warrior and participant.

Update: after half this month is over, trying out posting once again at the Lighthouse of Prayer, there seems to be no desire for any participation or interaction, more than the faithful prayer team members that pray (leaving prayers in the comments).

I will try to finish these links to Prayer Central for this devotional, but I see no reason to have a place of Prayer, if no one posts their Prayers.

This is why I have gathered these links to Prayer Central in one post rather than each one as a separate blog post. This also is the reason this blog went inactive for so long, because it's suppose to exist as an interactive place of PRAYER and when there are only a few prayers or people praying ... it seems that we have moved on to something else... this saddens me greatly!

So once again, it looks like we will return to our MIA status (which mean no more blog posts for your prayerswhen the ABC's of Prayer is finished - praying from our own individual prayer closets and not stepping forward boldly together as a chord that won't be broken. Perhaps this is due to our going offline since 2014 ... so I will give this back to God.

Day 5 - Free Access to God's Throne

"God sits on His throne high above the heavens and the earth. However as His child you have His listening ear whenever you need it. The door to His throne room is open wide to you through the sacrifice of Christ. You can come before the Father boldly, bringing your needs and the needs of others to His attention. Consider these scriptures and receive confidence that His ear is open to your cry."~Kathleen Dillard

Psalms 34:17; Hebrews 4:16; 2 Samuel 22:7; Jeremiah 23:24; Psalms 34:15

"Father, You are the sovereign Lord over all creation, and yet Your ear is open to my prayers. I thank You that I can come boldly before Your throne ... "

Day 2 - Forgiveness from Sin

I started sharing from Prayer Central's "ABC's of Prayer" on March 1st here, I cannot guarantee that I will post daily (but I'll try) so we get in the habit of clicking over there and praying or reading a prayer devotional from Kathleen Dillard at Prayer Central.

"Father, I come to You and I confess that I have no way to repay You for the wrongs I have done. I am humbled by Your goodness, because You sacrificed Your only Son Jesus to make a way for salvation and forgiveness. I confess that it is only by the blood of Jesus that I can be forgiven. Your word says that if I confess my sins You are faithful and righteous to forgive me and cleanse me. Lord, I confess my sins before You right now. (take time here to confess the ways you have sinned)

Father, I believe Your word,  ... " To read the INTRO, Scriptures and continue this prayer Click Over

Day 1 - Abiding

It's been far too long since we have prayed or shared prayers at this "Lighthouse of Prayer" so I just wanted to let you know about Prayer Central and their wonderful daily devotionals once again.

This one is from "ABC's of Prayer" [Abiding, Believing, Confronting] Since this is March 1st and Prayer Central begins today with Day 1, maybe you can consider following along with this daily.

Just click on Day 1 - Abiding and it should open you to Prayer Central to read the actual devotional or prayer.

Here are the other daily devotionals for you to choose one that maybe suits you better:

May God abide in you and you abide in God
today and all the days of your life.

You're in my thoughts and prayers.
I have not forgotten this place, nor to pray for you.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
