A Blessed & Happy New Year

... let's start the year right in prayer for one another ...

PERSONAL PRAYER REQUESTS and HOW THE LIGHTHOUSE WORKS

If this is your first visit, please stop by here and read a little bit about our ministry--how we are joining together to lift others to God in prayer. However, what you read here and in the posts is actually enough.

Maybe you come across someone that needs prayer while visiting blogs, instead of just saying, "Praying for you", do so and bring their prayer need and leave your prayer here and let them know that you left a prayer for them at the Lighthouse of Prayer

This is an interactive blog based on a comment and response system. YOU are a part of our Prayer Team - the minute you add your prayer in the comment area or leave one for someone else in the reply under their prayer.

PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, PRAYER REQUEST, PRAISE, THANKS - in the place that would normally read COMMENTS after the most recent post, but here it reads "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD"... since a LINKY is no longer available. We begun using a PRAYER REQUEST LINKY, but if it's not there, please leave PRAYER or REQUEST in "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD" (the area for comments but do not write a comment) Thank you so much! Looking at this new template, it's difficult to know how to leave a comment (Prayer) but just click on the part that says __ comments. [it __ shows a number for how many comments/prayers are currently posted]

We'd love to see your prayer requests and praises to God in this area and hopefully others will be supporting you through their prayers written as a response to your prayer there. Be sure to come back and see the prayers lifting you and yours together to the LORD or leave one! You can also remain anonymous, God knows you.

Please remember NO COMMENTS, only PRAYERS! It is important that this be a house of prayer. Any comment, not as a prayer or prayer request will be deleted. Thanks again!

Please read announcement in Oct. 2014 first to understand better the lack of activity here! Thank you.

PRAYERS for OVERCOMING GUILT FEELINGS ~ 2

Part 1 yesterday

Continuing with PRAYING GOD'S WORD for "Overcoming Ongoing Feelings of Guilt" from Beth Moore's Chapter 9 in her book. (red= Beth's words/prayers). Today's are from the Old Testament.

"Father, I praise You with my whole heart that when the wicked forsakes his ways and the evil man his thoughts and turns to You, You will have mercy on him, for You will freely pardon!" (Isaiah 55:7)

"Father  God, You made my Savior's life a guilt offering for me. (Isaiah 53:10) His death was enough to handle my guilt."

Now it's your turn to take the following scripture(s) and PRAY GOD'S WORD... make a prayer from any verse or verses.

2 Chronicles 6:29-31
Jeremiah 25:5
Jeremiah 31: 9
Jeremiah 50:4-5
Jeremiah 24:7
Malachi 3:7
Jeremiah 14:7; 20

Let's share our PRAYERS from these verses in the "Prayers Lifted to God's Throne".  We'll continue tomorrow with MOORE prayers for overcoming guilt  "Praying God's Word" from the New Testament.

Praying God's Word ~ B.M. said...

2 Chronicles 6:29-31

O Merciful God, when a prayer or plea is made by any of Your people-each one aware of his afflictions and pains, and spreading out his hands toward this temple-then hear from heaven, Your dwelling place. Forgive, and deal with each man according to all he does, since you know his heart (for You alone know the hearts of men), so that they will fear You and walk in Your ways all the time they live in the land You gave our fathers.

Jeremiah 25:5

Father, Your Word says that if I (and Your People)will turn now, each of us, from our evil practices, we can stay in the land You have given us forever and ever.

Jeremiah 24:7

Lord, Thank You that Your Word tells me that You will give us a heart to know You. You are Our Lord. We will be Your people and You will be our God for we will return to You with all our heart.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
