Do you ABIDE IN HIM?

Lord, Today I ask that You would PLANT me in Prayer each and every day, not as a challenge but a daily thirst I have to be Rooted in You, Abiding in You, closer to You in all that I do. May I be GROUNDED in Your Word, as I flow with Your Truth to anyone and everyone who crosses my path this day. My strength comes from You and knowing the depths of Your love. I offer my life to You to use it for Your Glory. No more striving Lord, a sweet surrender to wait on Your Spirit to produce Your fruit in me and through me to others... a bountiful harvest of souls glorifying You, proclaiming You as Lord, exalting You in praise and adoration... nourished by streams of Living Water with "leaves" and branches that will not wither but be strengthened as I grow in knowledge and discernment, flourish in Your wisdom and flowing in Your Spirit, Your love, Your many blessings... with purpose and good plan

O Lord,

This is my prayer that Your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight. I thank You for the intimacy in our relationship. I ask that I continue to develop my discernment in all areas of what is best. May I become more and more pure and blameless until the day of Christ.Fill me with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ so that I am grounded in Word.

Thank You for abiding in me as I abide in You more each day.

May my roots sink deep! May I be rooted in love and firm in trials.

Plant me by the water so that I may continue to grow. Thank You for keeping me fresh and alive in You!

TODAY'S PRAYER

Praying for: my friends

Protection for my friends

Scripture: Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble; when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. -Proverbs 3:23-24

Prayer: Lord, You are the mighty God of all the earth. No one can deliver out of Your hand. When You act, no one can reverse it.

I am praying for my friends today Lord and asking You to act on their behalf. Guard their going out today, and keep their way safe and free from stumbling. Guard them as they go out and as they come in.

Cause them to lie down in safety, and bless their sleep with the peace of Your presence. I entrust them into Your care today Lord and rely on You to watch over them. In Jesus name, amen.

Today's Daily Prayer
by Germaine Copeland

Prayer to Begin the Day

The mother warned everyone not to talk to her before she had her coffee. But now that their son had started to school she felt bad sending him and her husband off without a smile or pleasant word. How could she change? She had never been a morning person. She remembered her dad who said when you wake up, wake up all over; spirit, soul and body. So she decided to at least act pleasant each morning as she prepared breakfast, and helped her son get ready for school. She made a decision to have happy thoughts and praise God before she even got out of bed each morning, and to her surprise she learned that every day could begin with a smile, a glad heart and a happy, joyous spirit.

Prayer:
Father, I come before You rejoicing, for this is the day that You have made and I will rejoice and be glad in it. To obey is better than sacrifice, so I am making a decision to submit to Your will today, that my plans and purposes may be conducted in a manner that will bring honor and glory to You. Cause me to be spiritually and mentally alert in this time of meditation and prayer, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 118:24; 1 Samuel 15:22; Colossians 4:2

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
