DAILY PRAYER from Germaine Copeland ... author of "Prayers that Avail Much"

Prayers That Avail Much: 25th Anniversary Commemorative Gift Edition (Prayers That Avail Much) (Prayers That Avail Much)

The Right Path
For many years I walked darkened pathways that were rocky. Here and there was a glimmer of light, and there appeared roads that emanated radiant beams of light. Every time I tried to walk toward the light I would run into obstacles that turned into dead ends. How could I find the path of life? On a glorious memorable day the Light broke through and the Pathway of Life lay before me. I could see and I could hear the Voice of my Father: This is the way. Walk ye in it! I read the Bible day and night. His word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105). Read His Word, heed His Word; it is life to all who find it, and health to all your flesh!

Prayer:

Father, show me the path You want me to take and point out the right road on which I should walk. Today I deny myself and take up my cross and follow You wherever You may lead. Lead me beside the quiet waters; restore my soul. You are guiding me in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake. You are my God and I will praise You in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 25:4Mark 8:34-38; Psalm 23
The daily prayer is written by Germaine Copeland, author of the Prayers That Avail Much family book series.

Heavenly Father,

Though I have not written a list or a prayer of the many things that I give You thanks for today and each day, I have told You throughout the day, how grateful I am for each physical and spiritual blessing... and You sent me a very special message today which truly makes me smile and my heart sing with JOY! There is none like You! and there is so much to give You thanks!!!

But I thank You for YOU! I thank You for being with me! I thank You for leading, protecting and saving me! I thank You for Loving me! I thank You for Your great mercies and grace! I thank You for the Holy Spirit!

I stand amazed that this challenge would fall on this day... in that others set aside Thursday to GIVE YOU THANKS! But it is no coincidence, it is another God moment to give You thanks and praise as You line up all things and cause them for good!

I thank You for the simple this day! and then I thank You for some very GRAND showings of Your divine grace...Your love and grace is so aMazing! I exalt You! I praise You.
I love You ever so much!

You are great God and greatly to be praised! You are more than enough!
Thank You!

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
