DAILY PRAYER ~ WALKING IN LOVE

from Germaine Copeland, author of "Prayers that Avail Much"

Prayers That Avail Much: 25th Anniversary Commemorative Gift Edition (Prayers That Avail Much) (Prayers That Avail Much)

Walking in Love
New Testament believers have received a new commandment: love one another, for love springs from God, and he who loves his fellowman (this includes family members) is begotten of God and is coming progressively to know and understand Him (1 John 4:7). Walking in love is part of the transformation process; putting off the old nature (selfishness and self-centeredness) and putting on the new. You do not have the ability to force others to love you, but you have the ability to love others even as the Father loves you.

PRAYER
Father, the love you define in 1 Corinthians 13 is my greatest aim, and I ask also for the special abilities the Holy Spirit gives. I believe on the name of your Son Jesus Christ, and I am able to love others just as I love myself because you first loved me. God, you are love, and when I live in love, I am living with you and you live in me. As I live with Christ, my love grows more perfect and complete. Thank you for loving me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Father God,

Thank You for the command to love one another. May we have love that springs from You for our fellow man especially our family members.

Teach me and help me love like 1 Corinthians 13!

Help me daily to follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts. Search me and reveal Your gift in me. May we fulfill working together as the Body of Christ, acknowledging each one's unique spiritual gift and knowing that we each need the other part to function fully as One Body. Thank You that each part is necessary.

Praise You this day for this Word and prayer on walking in love as we start out on a new journey of making prayer our first act of love each day! I love You, Father! I love You, Lord Jesus! I love You, Holy Spirit! May my life today show my complete love for You! Thank You
for walking with me in love!

Pray the Blessing:
Deut 28:11-14 And the LORD will make you abound in prosperity, in the fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your livestock and in the fruit of your ground, within the land that the LORD swore to your fathers to give you.

The LORD will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. And you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail, and you shall only go up and not down, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, being careful to do them, and if you do not turn aside from any of the words that I command you today, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

Declare your faith:
I confess and believe that the God of heaven and earth can open the windows of heaven and supply in all the needs of my nation (Mal 3:10; 2 Cor 9:7-10)

Pray on foot:
Pray at the economic headquarters of your nation, e.g. stock exchange, reserve bank, financial institutions, banks,

Father God,

Thank You for Your command in 1 John 3:23! I do believe in the Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ and pray in His name. The Name above all other names. Help me to love others as You have loved me and commanded us also in this Word!

Thank You for Your Love! How deep and wide is Your most precious love. Far beyond what I can imagine and I believe that You have this love for each one of us, those who know You and those who have yet to know You. Come, make Yourself be known to the lost and to the prodigal... for I was lost, but now I'm found... for I have wandered as a prodigal but now search others and pray for the prodigals I know to return to You!

PRAYER FOR THE PRODIGALS

Praying for: Prodigal Son and daughter, husband, friend _________________

Turn to the Lord

Scripture: Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. -Isaiah 45:22

Prayer: Lord, You are the most high over all the earth and You are exalted far above all other gods. You are worthy of all our devotion and all our worship. You are the God of our salvation.

Lord, I agree with Your word, You are God and there is no other. I pray for ____________________ now and I echo Your command, and speak to their spirit. ____________________, Turn to the Lord, Turn to the Lord, Turn to the Lord and be saved! For there is no other god, and no one else who can cover your sins but Jesus.

Lord, You said where two or more agree that we could have what we ask for. I am agreeing with You now, that ____________________ would be saved. It’s Your desire, and it’s my desire, so I’m standing on Your promise, and calling ____________________ into the light. Turn ____________________ and look to the Lord, from where Your only help comes. Turn and be saved. In Jesus name.

O Lord, Help us to walk in Your Love!

Teach us how to love as You loved.

Thank You for loving me!

Thank You for how great Your love is, that Your love is unfailing and unconditional! There is none like You! Praise You for the depth and width of Your immense love.

Pour Your love on the broken hearts tonight, the lonely, the lost,
those desperate for love. Keep me
close to You and Your love and from searching for love from others or hold them to such high expectations as Your love.

May my love come closer and closer to the love described in 1 Corinthians 13 not just for those I know and love but for those who I do not know but need Your love. That is when I will truly be walking in Your love.
Help me to also love those who have offended me or are enemies to me.
I forgive any offense and ask that You also forgive them and help them and me. Though I cannot think of any specifics, I want my love to be
one of forgiveness as You forgive me. Thank You Lord, walk with me in love and I will love You eternally.

Lord, help me to rest in You in such a way that I am flexible to move with the very wind of heaven.

May my heart never be rigid or set in its own way and cause me to miss the simple beauty of loving You. It isn’t as complicated as I sometimes like to make it. Teach me to dance in time to the moving of Holy Spirit and the freedom Your blood bought for me. There is no other banner greater than the blood-stained banner of Your sacrifice. I am anchored in You, my rock and strong foundation. Move through my life and remove every hindrance to freedom and liberty in the Spirit.

Help me to stay flexible, even be fluid, when it comes to responding to You and Your Word. You are indeed Lord of the outcome, for You have already been where I am going. Teach me to dance with You in an uninhibited and totally abandoned way as I proclaim who I am according to Your Word. I am the delight of Your heart and the apple of Your eye. My name is carved in Your hand and I am ever before Your face. I am Yours and You are mine. Amen

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
