PRAYER CHALLENGE DAY 4

CHALLENGE TAKEN from the pdf mentioned back here

Suggestion for today from there:
Day 4: " Pray for strength to eat more healthy food today.  Ask God to help you realize that the physical vessel He has given you is important for serving Him. Pray that God help you make better choices for your physical body in exercise, rest, food, recreation to appreciate how fearful and wonderfully made we are.  Pray that God help you find others who are thinking in the same way at this time and that you will strengthen each other.  “Iron sharpens iron."

Salvation
I was touring a Muslim city in North Africa when the Spirit of God opened my eyes to the masses of people going in every direction. Motorcycles, cars, bicycles, old men and women, young men and women were swarming around me. Suddenly, there was an open heaven over where my friends and I were standing, and I heard John 3:16, which began to resonant in my ears. God loves all people just as the song tells us: red and yellow, black and white; they are precious in His sight. God is love, and everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. ~ Germaine Copeland
PRAYER
Father, how much You have loved us! Thank You for loving the world so much that You gave Your only Son so that anyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. You sent Jesus to save us, and we pray for those who are unsaved believing that when they hear Truth, they will gladly come to the Light, call upon the Name of the Lord, and be saved. In the name of Jesus, we thank You for the salvation of our families and friends. Nations shall fall down and worship the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Amen.
Scripture Reading: John 3:16Romans 10:13
The daily prayer is written by Germaine Copeland, author of the Prayers That Avail Much family book series.

PLEASE CONTINUE to PRAY(*source GDOP):

·        Pray for all those in Japan to have presence of mind, and for those who are believers to rise to the occasion with the power of the Holy Spirit to meet the needs as He directs them.
·        Pray for the Church to unite to reach out to help in the aftermath—pray for wise response, order and resources applied appropriately.
·        Pray for the global Church to wake up to the need to be prepared in order to be His hands and feet in these situations as they begin to unfold so quickly around the world.
·        Pray for God’s mercy in judgment—that there will be more than enough messengers of the gospel in every place to share the good news of His mercy and grace to those who do not yet know Him! There are still about 1 in 4 around the world who have little access to the gospel—pray for the Lord of the Harvest to thrust forth more than enough laborers!!
·        Please pray for all the other areas in the World who have had Tsunami warnings and where people are evacuated from their homes.  The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre had issued a tsunami warning for over 50 countries and territories including Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, Russia, Mexico and Chile and almost the entire Pacific basin following the quake

Praising You Lord that Pia and loved ones are alright! Thanking You for safety and Your protection for all of us.

Standing in the gap for the many being affected that they may know Jesus ultimately and cry out to God for mercy that He would save them from further disaster. Asking Lord that You reach those yet clinging to life. Give the Japanese Your saving grace and mercy. Refrain the after affects and help all in the rescue and search. Give the Japanese the presence of mind that they need and wisdom to act promptly.

May the believers rise to this occasion with the power of the Holy Spirit to meet the needs as He directs them. Guard and protect them. May the Church unite and reach out to help in the aftermath.
May the response be wise, in order and may resources be applied appropriately and quickly.

I ask that the global Church wake up to the need to prepare to be the hands and feet of Jesus now and quickly.

Thank You for the other areas in the world that have had warnings of the tsunami affect that You are holding back further destruction and loss of life. Thank You that You are still in control! May Your peace reign! May Your love reach!
May our hands touch and save many more souls with the Light You offer and eternal life You give! Thank You for salvation for many. May we
heed the call to share Jesus now and forever...

Father,
look upon our weakness and reach out to help us with Your loving power.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Today's Readings: Isaiah 58: 9b-14; Psalm 86: 1-2, 3-4, 5-6; Luke 5: 27-32

Loving creator,
I am not asking to overcome my weakness, but to use it in some way to glorify You. Let me be aware of
the many ways You reach out to help me today and let me stand in awe of the power that You use in such loving ways.

May the Lord bless us, protect us from all evil and bring us to everlasting life.
Amen.

The power of moving water is greater than most of us can imagine. Nothing stands before it. We are driven to our knees:

Father in heaven, you are the absolute Sovereign over the shaking of the earth, the rising of the sea, and the raging of the waves. We tremble at your power and bow before your unsearchable judgments and inscrutable ways. We cover our faces and kiss your omnipotent hand. We fall helpless to the floor in prayer and feel how fragile the very ground is beneath our knees.

O God, we humble ourselves under your holy majesty and repent. In a moment—in the twinkling of an eye—we too could be swept away. We are not more deserving of firm ground than our fellowmen in Japan. We too are flesh. We have bodies and homes and cars and family and precious places. We know that if we were treated according to our sins, who could stand? All of it would be gone in a moment. So in this dark hour we turn against our sins, not against you.

And we cry for mercy for Japan. Mercy, Father. Not for what they or we deserve. But mercy.

Have you not encouraged us in this? Have we not heard a hundred times in your Word the riches of your kindness, forbearance, and patience? Do you not a thousand times withhold your judgments, leading your rebellious world toward repentance? Yes, Lord. For your ways are not our ways, and your thoughts are not our thoughts.

Grant, O God, that the wicked will forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Grant us, your sinful creatures, to return to you, that you may have compassion. For surely you will abundantly pardon. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord Jesus, your beloved Son, will be saved.

May every heart-breaking loss—millions upon millions of losses—be healed by the wounded hands of the risen Christ. You are not unacquainted with your creatures' pain. You did not spare your own Son, but gave him up for us all.

In Jesus you tasted loss. In Jesus you shared the overwhelming flood of our sorrows and suffering. In Jesus you are a sympathetic Priest in the midst of our pain.

Deal tenderly now, Father, with this fragile people. Woo them. Win them. Save them.

And may the floods they so much dread make blessings break upon their head.

O let them not judge You with feeble sense, but trust You for Your grace. And so behind this providence, soon find a smiling face.

In Jesus’ merciful name, Amen.

Today’s Prayer
Praying for: my neighbohood

Unity of Believers

Scripture: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. -John 17:23

Prayer: Lord, You are God of heaven and earth, and Lord of all the nations. Every person and every family owes their well-being to You, and You alone are the source of all blessings.

Lord, I pray for my neighbohood, I know You want to bless this place, that Your blessings flow best when Your people are in unity. I lift up the believers of my neighbohood and I ask Lord that You would break down the walls that divide them. I ask Lord that You would tear down those things that have been built up to protect and isolate.

Lord, bring Your body in my neighbohood into a place of dependence on You and one another, and remove the obstacles that stand between them. I bind the spirit of fear, that brings division and ask for a fresh boldness to step over these ancient boundaries and embrace one another. May You be glorified Lord through Your people. In Jesus name, amen.

Escapes From Death

Scripture: “God is to us a God of deliverances; And to GOD the Lord belong escapes from death.” -Psalms 68:20

Prayer: Lord, all power belongs to You. You rule and reign, unchallenged in the heavens. You are far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given.

I receive Your word Lord, “to God the Lord belongs escapes from death.” I ask that You would deliver from danger and from the jaws of death those who have been caught up in this crisis. You are the God of the impossible, and I ask that You would release impossible escapes for these innocent men and women today.

Stand in the midst of the afflicted Lord, and call them out from the shadow of death. Extend Your hand of deliverance, Lord, and honor Your name with a miracle today. In Jesus name, amen.

Praying for: Me

Joy for Me

Scripture: Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: “The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!” -Psalms 118:15

Prayer: Lord, You are the One who makes rivers to flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. You turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. You bring joy out of despair, and nothing is beyond Your reach.

I exalt Your name Lord, I declare that You are high and lifted up over the circumstances of my life. You are my hope, and my joy. My salvation and my God. The One who chose me from the foundation of the world. The One who paid the price for my redemption.

Lord, You are the One who loves me with an everlasting love, who leads me and guides me with Your eye upon me. Release to me Lord, a fresh flow of joy and celebration for who You are and what You have done for me. In Jesus name, amen.

Praying for: Pia and those in the affected area

Protection Over Trouble

Scripture: You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. -Psalms 32:7

Prayer: Lord, You make rivers to flow in the desert, and set the boundaries of the seas. You carve a path through the mountains, and set the timing of the sun. Nothing is beyond Your reach, and nothing can touch what You protect.

I bring Pia and those in the affected area before Your throne of grace, and I ask that You would hide them under Your wings. Protect them Lord from whatever trouble is lurking about. Secure them in the palm of Your hand, guard their going out and their coming in today.

Lord, show Yourself strong on their behalf, and declare Your sovereignty over their lives. Sing over them Lord Your songs of deliverance and drive trouble from their doorstep. Let Your shadow of security fall over them today, and cause their hearts to rest. In Jesus name, amen.

A Day of Salvation

Scripture: “Jesus said to him, ‘Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.’” -Luke 19:9

Prayer: Jesus, You are the God of our Salvation! You have won the victory, and ransomed us to be Your sons and daughters. The power of Your love is indefensible. Nothing in heaven or on earth can separate us from Your love that has conquered even death!

Lord, we ask that You would make today a day of salvation in JAPAN. Release dreams, divine revelations, and encounters with Jesus to people all over the nation–to military leaders, politicians, tribal chiefs, businessmen, laborers, mothers, young men, women and children. Bring home some of Your lost sheep, oh Shepherd! Break the power of deception and the spirit of death that comes to kill, steal and destroy, and take back the souls that You have purchased with Your blood!

Lord You are worthy of all the honor and praise. Let Your name be magnified in all the earth, and let all the peoples praise You! You have won, and today is a day of salvation! Amen!

Praying for: LIBYA

Break the Power of Corruption

Scripture: Woe to those who enact evil statutes, And to those who constantly record unjust decisions, so as to deprive the needy of justice, And rob the poor of My people of their rights… -Isaiah 10:1

Prayer: God, You are a righteous ruler, and all Your ways are just, and full of truth. We praise You for Your righteousness that shines like the sun, and for Your justice that cannot not be thwarted!

Father, bring Your righteousness to the nation of LIBYA. Let Your Spirit of Truth sweep the government offices, religious leaders, economic centers, and every other point of power and influence. Bring conviction and the fear of the Lord to those who would use and abuse the people for selfish gain, and restore Your standard of truth and righteousness. Break the power of corruption over the people of LIBYA, so they can inherit the blessings that You promise for those who walk in obedience and righteousness.

Strengthen the believers there to stand firm and uphold Your standards, Lord, that their lives might bring glory to Your name. Fill them with fresh power for integrity, honesty and generosity. Release Your blessing and restoration to their land. Let Your Name be praised in all the earth!

I PRAY THIS FOR OTHER COUNTRIES AS WELL and also for MEXICO!

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
