WFW and PRAYER CHALLENGE DAY 13

Blossominprayer
CHALLENGE TAKEN from the pdf mentioned back here
Suggestion for today from there:
Day 13:  You are one-third of the way there!

Pray and thank God for the strength so far to keep this challenge.

Ask for continued strength to face this challenge and some of the weak areas that might be exposed in your life.

DAILY PRAYER from Germaine Copeland author of "Prayers that Avail Much", I added in the comment section here that we call "Prayers Lifted to the Throne of God" (many times it is part of the challenge for the day as an example of how to Pray God's Word effectively)

Prayers That Avail Much: 25th Anniversary Commemorative Gift Edition (Prayers That Avail Much) (Prayers That Avail Much)
[and also today's Daily Prayer is at the bottom of the blog posts]

"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." James 5:16

James 5:16 (28 kb)

"To confess is to do two things with our sin: 1) to recognize sin for what it is in God's eyes and 2) to get rid of our secrets and be honest with another Christian. James' language is powerful. He mentions that this confession doesn't just bring forgiveness. It also brings healing." ~ Phil Ware
(example of a prayer)...

Holy Father, I have sinned. I now confess my own personal sin of ____________. I ask for Your forgiveness and for Your Spirit to strengthen me in overcoming temptation. I want to live for You and not let my sin, any sin, entangle me and draw me away from You. Through Jesus I pray. Amen

Overcoming Prejudice
My dictionary defines prejudice as an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics. Believers have the power to loose, crush and annihilate an attitude of prejudice from their minds and emotions. Regardless of our race, social or economic standing, we have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all. We are one family! Treat everyone as you would want to be treated with respect and honor.

PRAYER:
Father, I ask You to forgive me for tolerating prejudice in the household of faith, and set me free from the influence of public opinion that I may live out my glorious Christ-originated faith. Thank You for revealing that we are one blood, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. We are baptized into Christ and have put on the family likeness of Christ. We are one in the bonds of love. You are the God and Father of us all in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Scripture Reading: James 2:1-9; Ephesians 4:3-6; Ephesians 2:13-22

The daily prayer is written by Germaine Copeland, author of the Prayers That Avail Much family book series.

Heavenly Father, Today I come before You once more and confess my sins and even my thoughts...

I confess to you, my sisters(and brothers)in Christ that I have sinned through my own fault, in thought, in word and in deed. I do fall so short of the glory of God but ALL have sinned. I confess my sins so that I may be healed.

I confess the sins of...

Please forgive me for these and all my sins.If I have sinned against you I ask for forgiveness.

Lord, I thank You for Your righteousness, and desire that my prayers would be powerful and effective. For I am righteous in You!

I long to walk in the fullness of God that my walk would be 100% for You. That I may be found holy in You. Your holiness I want to be ingrained in me.

I come before You this day with an expectant heart that You are pouring out Your Comfort and Grace on my neighbor and their family, whose brother was shot at his son's 13th birthday celebration as masked men just showed up at his house and killed him. May You help them as they grieve. May You be with his 80 yr. old mother and the son who lost his father on his birthday. Wrap Your loving arms around the! Lift the heaviness that surrounds this.
Stop this war of violence and corruption. Too many wrong and innocent people are being killed.
We come against this in the authority of Jesus Christ.

Put a hedge of protection around us in this colony, because this violence is getting closer and more out of control daily. I ask that You take full control and by Your power and through Your spirit we may witness Your love and strength to those in desperate need of Your Saving Grace. Thank You Lord for allowing me the privilege to come before You and ask this in Jesus Name... Thank You for keeping us safe as we sleep and serve You...
I love You Lord now and forever...

Jesus, I pray that you would reconcile my daughers' hearts. May they choose to forgive each other, leaving behind their anger, hurt feelings, and bitterness. Send people across their paths that will show them how to love unconditionally. I trust that this is your will for them and that you are even now working in them. Thank you, Jesus. I love you. Amen.

Thank you, Jesus, for Peggy, my sister in you, who prayed over my concern. Felt so good to know that I'm not praying alone. Amen.

Father,

Thank You for Karen and this is the purpose of Your Lighthouse of Prayer
that we would not "pray alone" but that we would stand with one another in prayer because where two or three come together in You name, there You are ... in our midst... Thank you!

Thank You Lord that we believe for healing and restoration as we stand together asking for forgiveness in her daughter's hearts. Yes, Lord send people that would cross their paths with unconditional love! We praise You that even as we speak You are at work. Thank You Lord for we await seeing tender hearts and reconciliation as hurts are healed.
There is no room for bitterness or any more anger, now is the time for You to perfect and heal with the love that Jesus gives... we give this to You with complete trust and give You the glory... thank You for bringing Karen back and I pray that she will return with a good report and praise to You for all You do!

Thank you Father for Peggy's WFW. Plase forgive the sins I have committed and help me to be more forgiving to those closest to me. You know the areas I need to work on and I ask that you help me because more than anything I want to please You and be ready when You come or call.

I stand in agreement with Karen's and Peggy's prayers. I ask that you meet their needs and especially put a hedge of protection around Peggy as she goes about doing the work You have called her to do.

Show me Lord the things that I should do or give me the prayers I should pray for those who are in need. Thank You for the privilege of working with Peggy. You have taught me so much.

I thank you for Who You are and all that You do for us that we don't even realize. You are wonderful, and worthy to be praised, Father. May we never forget that.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
