PRAYER CHALLENGE DAY 8

CHALLENGE TAKEN from the pdf mentioned back here

Suggestion for today from there:
Day 8:  Pray for the ability to reach out to an unbeliever and believer who is hurting today through a visit, card, or call.
Ask God to help you see the importance of relationship with others.
Ask God to help you to understand Jesus‟ goal as he visited and cared for those at bottom of the social ladder.
I find this a perfect time not only to share our THANKFULNESS with Thankful Thursday but for me also to take the time to introduce Lynn and Dineen or share their news, in case you already know them and their ministry: SPIRITUALLY UNEQUAL MARRIAGESCongratulations to them both on their book publication and many, many blessings on all the marriages! Thanking God for our spouses and winning without words...

Clearly with the 1st in the above challenge today, their brand new book, "Winning Him without Words" will help you or someone you know. The perfect way to reach both above would be by reaching out to a believer married to a non-believer or an unequally yoked marriage with this wonderful book, that would encourage their relationship with one another, and also with God.

I couldn't think of a better way to be thankful today than to give thanks for Lynn and Dineen, their witness and ministry as well as this great book!

Yes, Lord, we are so thankful for  our beloved unbelievers and believe that "in Your time..." by Your power, not by might... ours or any... You are ever so gentle and willing to woo and wait as we pray and intercede as a witness of Your love and grace... winning without words but by intentional living of Your will and Your way in us...

Thank You for these principles set forth in Your Word and shared in their book:

We...
  • commit to Christian community
  • release our spouse to God’s capable hands
  • find peace in our relationship with Christ and with our spouse
  • continue our pursuit of a growing faith
  • and to love our spouse with fresh enthusiasm
Thank You Lord for Dineen and Lynn,
SUM and 1 Peter 3 Living
and now

"WINNING HIM WITHOUT WORDS"

 Praying
1 Peter 3; Ephesians 4:1-3; Ephesians 5: 25-28; Philippians 2:3-4; Romans 10:10

May we THRIVE and be ALIVE in Christ
no matter our earthly relationships
May we solidify
our relationship with God
and
live our lives
worthy
in front of Him
in the
power
of His Holy Spirit in us

* I shared a special song last year for this day and included the words in the "Prayers Lifted to God's Throne" (comments) as my prayer today as well.

DAILY PRAYER from Germaine Copeland

... author of "Prayers that Avail Much"

God Directs Your Path
There is a way that seems right to man, but it leads to destruction. The good news is that God knew you before the foundation of the world, and He sent the Holy Spirit to help you make wise choices that lead to the more than abundant life. This path was designed by your Heavenly Father because you are His own handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, that you may do those good works which God planned beforehand for you paths which He prepared ahead of time, that you should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for you to live] (Ephesians 2:10 AMP). Ask Him to order your steps in His Word because His Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path.

PRAYER
Father, may I always listen for Your gentle whisper. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to take me by the hand and guide me into all the truth. He speaks only what He hears, and He will tell me what is yet to come. In all my ways I acknowledge You, and You shall direct my path. In the name of Jesus, I thank You for Your great love for me. Amen.

Scripture Reading: 1 Kings 19:12; John 16:13; Proverbs 3:6

Heavenly Father, I come to You with a grateful heart for the release of Lynn and Dineen's book to help the many that are thriving in spiritually unequal marriages! I ask that you bless them, their book and this ministry! I praise You for directing and guiding them daily as they reach out to many and as this book may be in the hands of more that really need to win.

Lord, We lift up the marriages! I thank You that You desire more than we do for our spouses to come into and have a right relationship with You as Lord and Savior. I ask You to touch each spouse supernaturally and get hold of them through the power of the Holy Spirit. You are ever so gentle but many of them have yet to profess and accept You.
Surround them with Christians that will show them the love of Jesus and their need for a personal relationship. We,like You, do not desire that one should perish. The times are perilous and their salvation we trust into Your hands and believe Your Word. We stand in the gap and ask that today You will
reach one for Jesus. We give You thanks and praise as we see them come to You.

May we be changed. May we win them without words. May our actions speak louder. Woo them to You as we love You and love them. May we love as Christ loved the church and gave of Himself. We our hearts we believe and are justified and ask that with our mouths and theirs we confess and are saved in Jesus Christ. May we live a 1 Peter 3 life. May the keys shown in this book be effective in our lives and the lives of our spouses so that they may be won without words.

Thank You for the testimony of Lynn and Dineen as You win their husbands for You and we place them and their families in Your care.
Thank You for the great spiritual blessing that they are to others.
Thank You for restoring and rebuilding marriages on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Thank You that You make the ordinary super extraordinary. Thank You for the effective fervent prayers and that we can release them in faith.

Thank You that we are not alone. Save us Lord so we can see You at work. keep us connected to other believers. May we love, respect, honor and know the essentials of hope, joy, peace and trust. May these be evident in our lives.
Thank You for blessing marriages and keeping us authentic. May we move from hurt to healing and surrender to victory! May our battles be fought in the heavenly realms and not carried by us. Teach us when and how to pray as we surrender our spouses to You to complete the good work You plan in their lives and ours in Jesus Name.

There is none like You and no love like Yours! May we allow You to be God in every area of our lives as Lord over all and release our spouses to not have to fill or be expected to fill what only You can fill. May we let go of any perfections and open the door only to Your work in us and then our spouses will be won by You and through Your Holy Spirit, fill us, move in us, change us, transform us, strengthen us to thrive and bless ALL marriages in Jesus and the foundation of 1 Cor. 13 love.
The love I have for You exceeds all else. I love You forever and give You all the thanks, praise, glory and honor for what You have done and are doing, the seen and the unseen... all power is Yours and I surrender to Your work... however... You choose to do and complete us, our marriages, our spouses are Yours!

I love You! I thank You! I praise You for ALL You are!

I arise today through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
through belief in the Threeness,
through confession of the Oneness of the Creator of creation.

I arise today through the strength of Christ with His Baptism,
through the strength of His Crucifixion with His Burial,
through the strength of His Resurrection with His Ascension,
through the strength of His descent for the Judgment of Doom.

I arise today through the strength of the love of Cherubim
in obedience of Angels, in the service of the Archangels,
in hope of resurrection to meet with reward,
in prayers of Patriarchs, in predictions of Prophets,
in preachings of Apostles, in faiths of Confessors,
in innocence of Holy Virgins, in deeds of righteous men.

I arise today, through the strength of Heaven:
light of Sun, brilliance of Moon, splendour of Fire,
speed of Lightning, swiftness of Wind, depth of Sea,
stability of Earth, firmness of Rock.

I arise today, through God's strength to pilot me:
God's might to uphold me, God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me, God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me, God's hand to guard me,
God's way to lie before me, God's shield to protect me,
God's host to secure me:
against snares of devils, against temptations of vices,
against inclinations of nature, against everyone who
shall wish me ill, afar and anear, alone and in a crowd.

I summon today all these powers between me (and these evils):
against every cruel and merciless power that may oppose my body and my soul,
against incantations of false prophets,
against black laws of heathenry,
against false laws of heretics,
against craft of idolatry,
against spells of women and smiths and wizards,
against every knowledge that endangers man's body and soul.
Christ to protect me today
against poison, against burning,
against drowning, against wounding,
so that there may come abundance of reward.

Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ in breadth, Christ in length, Christ in height,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.

I arise today through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
through belief in the Threeness, through confession of the Oneness of the Creator of creation.
Salvation is of the Lord. Salvation is of the Lord.
Salvation is of Christ.
May Thy Salvation, O Lord, be ever with us.

PRAYER for Our Nation

This was shared in an email from the Presidential Prayer Team:

Declaration of Independence Signer

Samuel Chase
George Washington (1732-1799), 1st President of the United States

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." --

This prayer of George Washington appears in St. Paul's Chapel in New York City.
